That is one awesome race track there Danny. The one in Wilson is great to. The regular Taurus works real well. Can you say 36 deg. in the turns and straights. Around 250 to 260 ft.

If anybody is running the Short Track Ford on a flat carpet track, I'd like to hear how it is doing and how it compares to the Protoform HD Monte Carlo on your car. Also whether you made any chassis changes for it.

I've got a lot of guys asking this and I just haven't had the time to run it myself yet at our flat carpet track yet to get a stop watch on it.

Thanks in advance for the info. Much appreciated !

Jeff.

Hey guys This is my first time on this thread but i would like to add my 2cents. I have just started running the Bandit bodies , 2 times actually. I run on flat tracks and they are short like 90 ft! and the longest is 135ft. Last week i ran the Taurus s/t and it was good. I found that it had more downforce for sure. I think it gives the car more forward bite than the reg taurus, i had to change my LR tire beceause of a push. After i changed the tire it was turning much better . With a little tweaking i think it is going to be real good. Here are some pics of the S/T.

Hi,

Looking for suggestions on the best 1/10 Bandit body to run. Also, any mounting tips would be greatly appreciated. Most other's run Proto HD MC

Track: similar to '04 Snowbirds, run line 160-170ft, flat, Ozite, open sweeping turns, med-high bite.

Class: Pro stock, w/ wing

Chassis: CW Aggressor

Thanks in advance,
Jack

Jack, right now the ST Ford is doing real well and so is the HD Monte on tracks very close to what you listed above. Either one should performe well. How ever most of the stock racers we have talked to seem to lean more toward the Monte Carlo. As far asmounting goes start out level... basicly the bottom trim line running even with the chassis. but mount it as low as your track rules allow. make a couple runs to adjust your set up with the body then add a couple 1/16th inck washers under the rear body posts to add rake to the body. this should help it turn even more while adding a bit more rear bite to keep it from becoming too loose. this should work for both bodies. also when mounting try to keep the area where the body flares on the front end and begins to flatten out to the side even with the front edge of the tires. this will give you the basic mount of the body to keep it from being to aggressive when turning. if you need it more aggresive then slip the body a bit forward. 1/8th of and inch is a mile. so try to keep the adjustments small you realy want as much of the handelingto come from the chassis and the body to be a fine tune adjustment.

Also for those that requested it there is an attached list of our product line.

Hey BillyW, you can get some Freeware that will convert .DOC, .XLS and other file formats to PDF files. Most everyone has Adobe Acrobat on their computer and it will make it a lot easier on you since you won't have to worry about formatting the output in some special way.

Thanks Danny.. Rick realy out did himself with that body... he said he always wanted to make a ford in thet HD/ST version said he had a few ideas to help turn and not create to much drag.... from what we are hearing it realy seems to get the job done... can't wait to see the 1/12th version he is workig on now....

This just in.... we just recieved the prototype of an "wide" body Ford.... why? It was developed for two reasons....

1. We have been asked by a couple about them for road racing wide pan cars.

2. Leanord Wood, of the famed Wood Brothers needed one for his "Wood Racing Gas car". Several racers have them and many inside the Nascar garages have them. If you haven't ever seen one they are a work of wonder.... Fully independent front suspension and a rear end suspension that works very simular to the Cup cars, panhard bar and all.

we will have the part numbers availible soon for these bodies.

Hey Billy sweet bodies. I have a question for all you bandit body owners.
Which body would work best on a short flat carpet track. I run on a couple but the go from 84 ft to about 130 ft. Any suggestions would help. I do have a MC right now but I bought a new car and need to which one.
Thanks,
Fireball929

PS this is for stock 4 cell racing

I was also wondering where I should mount the body on a ksg with the front wheels all the way back with the graphite bumper on.
Thanks,

Billy W

Hey Fireball, sorry i didn'tget to you yesterday, i've been laid up with the flu.as far as which body for flat track... take your pick either the Hd monte or the St Ford... both work well and when you mount i would start with them a bit to what i call neutral.... Or . where the flared front fenders end and begin to flatten out for the sides place the front ofthe front tires at or just tick behind where the flat area starts..... should work great there if you need a bit more turning then slide it forward just a bit. andi mean around and 1/8th inch more forward..... a small amount is a mile...

Hope this helps...
