Billy Billy W 11-07-2004, 11:49 PM Congrats to the 19trn, stock and 1/12th 19trn winners at the ROAR region 3 race on their wins with Bandit bodies. Billy @ Bandit TeamGoodwrench 11-07-2004, 11:58 PM Congrats to the 19trn, stock and 1/12th 19trn winners at the ROAR region 3 race on their wins with Bandit bodies. Billy @ Bandit Hey Billy -- Which bodies were the 19T and stock winners running ?? Thx! Billy W 11-08-2004, 12:10 AM From what i heard it was the HD Monte.... several practiced wit the ST Ford but since it was not legal yet for ROAR races the opted for the Monte. The ST ford ha been submited just a matter of time...... Billy Carpet Assasin 11-08-2004, 05:36 PM Is the bandit Monte HD comparable to the Proto Monte HD in the way of it has more or less downforce??? Thanks.... TeamGoodwrench 11-08-2004, 06:00 PM Is the bandit Monte HD comparable to the Proto Monte HD in the way of it has more or less downforce??? Thanks.... I ran both at outdoors at a concrete track on caps this past summer. I didn't touch the car -- just put body "A" on and ran a pack, then came in and put body "B" on and ran a pack. No changes at all to the car. I felt the Bandit MC had less front and rear downforce compared to the Protoform HD Monte Carlo. I have not tested both that way on carpet. Carpet Assasin 11-08-2004, 06:42 PM Thank you, You just made my mind up for me! Oh, and do you think the Bandit Monte HD is close to the new Proto Dodge MD or completly different??? TeamGoodwrench 11-08-2004, 08:13 PM Wow.. that's gonna be tough for me to say -- we don't have the new Protoform Dodge R/T yet, so I can't tell you yet. Maybe Erock can jump in here -- I'm sure he's run both of them. Jeff. Billy W 11-08-2004, 10:09 PM Carpet Assasin, i have only seen one person run the new Proto Dodge so i can't compare anything to it. what i do know is our HD monte is a more even downforce body... the best it can be compared to is the old 97 pontiac that Bolink use to sell. now that being said the new ST Ford has alot more turning capabilities than any of our bodies as well as any body ever offered by Bolink. RJ realy out did himself on this one.. Maybe we can get a few of the guys who have raced both to let us know how they compared. BIlly @ Bandit 20TN40 11-09-2004, 08:32 AM Billy, what body did better at Sandhills on Halloween? Billy W 11-09-2004, 03:48 PM I know that Jody ran the BTP 2000 Ford (regular) in his class... spec motor with a 3000 battery. And we saw how he ran. And this past weekend with the same body i ran a 52 4:00.02 in open 19trn. Russell ran a 57.. 4:01 with it in mod. Andy Bohan ran a 45 lap run in regular stock and won. Not sure on his time. Basicly i recomend our regular Taurus in all the classes except Mod. Body for mod will depend on the driver and what they want in the feel of their car. Some of them will like the regular ford some will like the "ST Ford" (HD). But to answer your question most of the bodies that weekend were ours or the old Bolink fords that RJ also designed. I saw a couple McAllisters and Protoform bodies (older, not the new one). 20TN40 11-09-2004, 08:51 PM Thanks Billy. I'm gonna buy Tracy a new body cause I just think he NEEDS to try a Bandit, and I wanted to make sure I get what he needs. Billy W 11-10-2004, 03:54 PM Not a problem when he gets it e-mail me and let me know if you need sugestions for mounting it or just go back a few pages here and you will find some help.... Billy Michael27 11-10-2004, 04:41 PM All of us at Fastrack Racing & Hobbies using Bandit Bodies.http://www.fastrackhobbies.com/galleries/11-06-04/index.html BJZJUICE 11-10-2004, 07:35 PM Hey Billy, I'm planning on coming to Sandhills next week, Has there been anyone testing our bodies in Mod? Do you have a recommendation? Billy W 11-10-2004, 08:10 PM Well Zubie it depends on what you want in feel. Russell ran a regular Taurus last week and went a fast 57..... Helms ran the ST Ford a couple weeks ago and ran a fast 56 and should have been a good 57 (head up his butt ... his words) so he missed it. And the track was a bit off that night. If you can hold on till sunday to make your decision i will have some more info then. Billy BJZJUICE 11-11-2004, 01:41 PM Ok, Thanks! Billy W 11-11-2004, 01:44 PM Zubie you got mail too..... DK47 11-12-2004, 07:05 PM ok Billy, what do you suggest on a probably 350ft flat straights, tight turns 1-2, with maybe 10dg. bank, turns 3-4 more of a sweeper about the same banking? It's the columbus track, don't know if you've seen it yet,6c spec on a 0700.Thanks DK Humpty 11-12-2004, 08:00 PM Hey DK ....Try the Shorttrack Monte ...I think it will be the best for there..I think that track lacks a litttle on bite due to Temperature now and the Monte should be good.. DK47 11-12-2004, 08:28 PM uh-oh,bought the taurus,oh well......... pepe 11-12-2004, 08:42 PM DK and Humpty You guys still at columbus this weekend or back to Ashville? Sat or Sun? DK47 11-12-2004, 09:39 PM Going to Columbus tomorrow,Steve told me they can't get CP&L out to hook up at C&W,they're way behind.Start around 3,come on up! Billy W 11-12-2004, 11:55 PM Danny if you got the St Taurus you should be ok.... Pepe, Humpty is on carpet for a couple weeks..NORRCA Nats at Sandhills........ BIlly TEAMHAWHAW 11-13-2004, 02:37 AM This is off track, I know but, I am looking for a cavilier body for an Sk modified. I was wondering if anybody knows who makes them. Bolink used to, now Iam trying to find a replacement. Thanks Chad Sewell Chad@knrcspeedway.com KN RC Speedway 17driver 11-13-2004, 11:09 PM Who's going to be the first to make the Dodge Charger body? Billy W 11-14-2004, 10:55 PM Chad, Chad i will check on it for you..... 17driver, we have talked to dodge about being liscenced, but we aren't sure about when we can begin working on it. i will let everyone know when we do..... Zubie... Helms has had good luck with the "St Ford" in mod with his hyperdrive. couple have had good runs with the regular Ford.... it aldepends on what you need. if you need a little extra help yuring and planting the rear the ST ford is the way if your car has plenty of bite and turns well then the regular ford is the way so take your pick ... or try both.,.... sorry i can't give an exact answer for mod.... but 19trn i ran the "ST" and feel it was a bit much for sandhills... so i'm on the regular Ford....
