Billy Justin_29 07-16-2004, 12:46 PM Well, by the look of the replies on this thread, these Bandit bodies are quite something! We have some on order for our track, I'll try it out, then let you guys know how it does up north on a tri-oval! Also, do they come with head-light or tail-light decals, or any other decals at all, just out of curiosity? Justin #29 www.geocities.com/cornwallrc (http://www.geocities.com/cornwallrc) Team Associated IRS RC products Silva concepts Pole Position batteries LRP electronics SSracer6 07-16-2004, 12:52 PM Well my Bandit MC has been in 2 races, and has won both of them, Great Job Bandit!!! Justin_29 07-16-2004, 01:02 PM Ya, I am a chevy fan when it comes to oval racing, so I will be buying the MC of course! Justin #29 www.geocities.om/cornwallrc (http://www.geocities.om/cornwallrc) Billy W 07-16-2004, 02:59 PM Justin 29, right now the bodies that your shop will be getting will not have any head light decals. just window mask and a Bandit R/C decal sheet now that being said we are packing bodies now that will have the new head light decals in them ford and Chevy. those should be hitting the distributors by the end of next week. right now DR at MSA Dist. is the order we have in house. Dale at AAA Model Supply got a shipment in that doesn't have them last week....but... he does have the same head light decals in his shop that will be in our bodies. So if you want head lights for the bandit bodies give dale a call. But keep your eye out you will see the head lights in the bodies soon. And yes regretfuly the retail price will adjust on the new packages.....sorry. Billy Justin_29 07-16-2004, 09:38 PM Alright! thanks for letting me know Billy W.! Thanks! Justin #29 www.geocities.com/cornwallrc (http://www.geocities.com/cornwallrc) erock1331 07-27-2004, 01:47 PM If you look on page 2 of this thread about halfway down, there is a couple pics. Billy W 07-27-2004, 02:06 PM Erock, thank you sir. and we got your e-mail and i will get with you about Akron.. BIlly erock1331 07-27-2004, 02:09 PM Thanks Billy Any help is appreciated !! wowracer1 07-27-2004, 06:43 PM What will take the residual glue left on the windows after the mask that is included in bandit bodies??? Tornado_Racing 07-27-2004, 06:54 PM After the paint is fully dry you can use a soft towel and motor spray or lighter fluid. wowracer1 07-27-2004, 07:20 PM I'm sure I didn't wait till the paint was fully dry. Just hadn't had that happen with other masks. Thanks, wowracer1 CornwallRC 07-27-2004, 09:09 PM The Bandit Bodies remind me alot of the Bolink bodies that were around a couple years ago... Are they similar at all??? Justin_29 07-27-2004, 09:18 PM Yeah! Jamie they do, it's because the owner of Bandit bodies is the previous fabricator for the old Bolinks bodies, if my research is correct? Justin #29 www.geocities.com/cornwallrc (http://www.geocities.com/cornwallrc) Billy W 07-28-2004, 02:52 AM wowracer1, the best way to remove the glue is to take a piece of masking tape and wrap it around your finger inside out and just dab it and it will pick up the glue when it doesn't switch to a cleaner section of tape. Sorry for that. The last orders of bodies sent to MSA and AAA had the new window mask material. which resolved that problem. We never caught it because myself and Charlie use a window mask that we cut out that allows us to paint a outline around our windows. Thanks to some of our customers we were informed of it and are taking care of the situation. Justin and Cornwall, actualy Rick Jordan the man responsable for all the great bodies that Bolink once sold is making our molds for us. You can consider these and future bodies from us to be a continuation of his great abilities for producing award wining and race winning bodies. Now as far as comparison goes.... this is what we have found out so far from the fead back of our team drivers as well as the average racer. The 04 Monte Carlo has the same handeling performance as the old 97 Pontiac that bolink sold. it is a great total downforce body the front allows the car to turn where and when you want it to, andthe rear hada bit more down force to help keep the car stable. the 04 Ford Taurus... well there is no comparisom to any thing... Rick designed this body to cut down on drag. this body has produced some very interesting out comes where it has been raced at. To give you a rough idea. i will compare it ti the last Ford Rick designed for bolink. The bandit ford is a much looser body as far as how it affects the car. it doesn't produce any more front down force than it's predicesser. it actualy directs the sir over the top and away from the wing taking away rear down force which makes the car looser. Now that being said. the best mounting possisiton for the body has been to mount it as far back on the car as you like. then mount the wing a bit higher to make the car stable (not so loose). The air flow of this body does not add drag to the cars over all performance with the wing higher. Lots of stock and 19trn racers are mounting the body back as i stated and putting the wing down low where they normaly run it and then add an average of a half to a full round of bite to the left rear. this allows for less drag and more speed down the straits and the extra bite added allows the car to have a bit more drive(rip as some call it) up off the corner. A few are finding a little different results but that is about the majority of the feed back we are getting. Billy @ Bandit And Yes Rick is working on a new body as well for 1/10th that will ...well basicly screw it's self in the ground. for flat tracks where you want the most front downforce. So keep an eye out for it later in the year when carpet season realy picks up...... Tornado_Racing 07-28-2004, 06:23 AM Bandit Bodies are awesome. As Billy said the Taurus really free's up the car, but lap times are faster. TeamGoodwrench 07-28-2004, 02:40 PM Billy -- is that new 1/10 body going to be a Chevy ?? Thx.
