You might as well get the pro3 slider from sandhills raceway for $299.99. Pro2 is a great car but, if you dont already own one you might as well buy a pro3.

Billy W 01-03-2006, 12:30 PM No not realy... le me see if i can explain in less than 1000 words...lol Regular 5000 Taurus is a low drag body mainly for high speed banked tracks it feels like it turns because it doesn't have a lot of drag to slow it down. A few racers have run it in stock and 19trn on flatter tracks with success. Reason is there cars are a bit on the tight side but coulddn't quite tell. Dodge body is a more stable body or neautral (sp).. it will realy show what your car is doing when you first mount it.. if it's a bit tight then your car is tight and vise versa with being loose. but over all its' a more medium balance body. it does allow you to run the car a bit more loose with out being out of control. that being said you can shift the body around forward or back, down in the front, down in the rear and get differnt areo capabilities... but it's better to get your car working and then use the body.. any body to accent you cars performance. SST ...Short Track Taurus... very good stable body like the dodge but offers a bit more turning than the Dodge. has a bit more aggressive nose/frontal area. But as i've said before, a body no matter who's it is. IS NOT a fix. a body is best used to fine tune or accent your cars set up... if anyone needs to use a body to get there car to run a certin way then look closer at the set up... you might find more speed there. Not knocking anyone, it's just to many people put to big of an crutch on the body for thier performance. And usualy blame the bodies when things aren't right.... Hope that helps...lol Oh yeah the monte carlo turns the hardest of them all... it truley is a loose body..lol BIlly MARTIN 01-03-2006, 12:49 PM Thanks!! Billy W 01-03-2006, 01:13 PM NO problem Martin... i do have to add the dodge has proven to be a great all around body..... it's done great on high banked ovals and flat tracks as well.. in many different classes.... and many different types of surfaces...... Donnie Logan ran it in Mod at Greenville and finished second on the flat carpet track. Billy tightline31408 01-03-2006, 06:15 PM Hey billy as soon as michael27 goes see cy and i get my new stuff.i am planning on running the dodge at the birds,or should i run the fords  Billy W 01-03-2006, 10:06 PM What class are you runnng? While the dodge will work it takes a couple more practices to get hooked up right. The SST "Short track Taurus" should be the easiest to work with.... With the amount of practice availible there i would go ahead and run the SST.... What am i saying... you have a flat track to practice on... try both and see which one fits YOUR needs.... Billy tightline31408 01-04-2006, 09:33 AM What class are you runnng? While the dodge will work it takes a couple more practices to get hooked up right. Billy the class is 4 cell stock on a maverick chassie with rc4less tires.  Billy W 01-04-2006, 04:05 PM Try the dodge with it mounted a bit forward like Michaels.. it should work great for you.... Billy Michael27 01-04-2006, 05:40 PM My Dodge is mounted 1/4'' forward from front edge of the bumper. Billy W 01-04-2006, 05:49 PM That will do... good place ment for flat track.... now if we canget you back some for the banks....lol See you this weekend Michael...... I sent him a e-mail be cause i could not yet catch him at home. can u check with him 2 see if he got my e-mail. try 2 buy some things 2 take to the birds with me.  RTOURANGEAU 01-19-2006, 08:43 AM Billy, I looked through the thread but didn't see an answer to my question so, here it goes. The Grill on the Dodge Charger seems to be tilted, is this the way it was intended and the bottom front should be cut to make it appear straight or is it a mistake. I just want to use the body the way it was intended. Let me know, thank you Bob T Billy W 01-19-2006, 03:23 PM Bob.. yes it is tilled a bit when the body is mounted flat with the chassis. this is to help with some front end down force. More is need with caps so when mounted to fit caps the body is a bit higher and more of the angle is available... for foams when you mount it lower it takes some nose area away that is not needed on foam tires. My dodge body is lowered to the bottom of the bottom grill.... thats my cut line.... and it still make ROAR heights with now wheel rubbing. And yes my body is still flat with the chassis.. no rake in the body.. Hope that helps some if i missed what you were asking maybe i can get it right on the next set of questions....lol Billy latemodel100 01-24-2006, 11:22 AM Billy I should be able to apply my L4 setups and get close right? I am racing on a Snowbird size track this weekend and trying ot get all setup. Where should I start with tires? Springs? Shock Oil? Billy W 01-24-2006, 02:07 PM HEy dude.. yeah you should be able to use your L4 setup.. may be a tad on the loose side... but what class are you running? BIlly latemodel100 01-24-2006, 07:14 PM I will be running their Busch basically 4c Spec, spec tires tightline31408 01-24-2006, 08:59 PM billy did u get my pm? Fl Flash 01-24-2006, 09:35 PM Billy I,ve been running a wide variety( carpet, asphalt and concrete on caps) of tracks last year and probaly again this year. I really like the Short track Taurus body everywhere I go. After reading an earlier post of yours I,m wondering if maybe the Charger body might be better choice for the concrete cap tracks, I could use to find a little more there. Whats your opinion? bush87 01-24-2006, 09:55 PM I have been running the Charger on Caps and it is very Neutral compared to the Ford or the Chevy. Billy W 01-24-2006, 10:01 PM Latemodel go with the L4 setup and see what happens to start.... tight..no.. don't think so... Flash... what MIke said......lol. i don't think you will complain.. Some think it has more downforce.. but real offers stability more than any thing... it should allow you to run the car a bit more freer (is that a word) in the corners and help with overall lap speeds... you just have to adjust to it from what you are use too..... Billy Fl Flash 01-24-2006, 10:06 PM Yep freers a word LOL Thanks for the reply Billy sounds like I need to get one mounted and try it out! latemodel100 01-24-2006, 10:37 PM I will start there and let you know how it goes...... I might be able to get alittle help but I will most likely be the only one with that chassis..... mostly Leading Edge and Maverick and the northern chassis up here, I made a comment the other day and noone said they had one. SO HERE I GO............ tightline31408 01-25-2006, 01:05 AM billy u got a pm. uspancarchamps 01-25-2006, 01:27 PM I may have already asked this but are you guys gonna do a Ford Fusion? I know that McAllister just released one Billy W 01-25-2006, 01:37 PM DOn't know yet.... but we have talked about it....
