PGoogs 06-04-2004, 03:45 PM Have Fun Hobbies in Vienna OH (near Youngstown) will be starting off road racing this Sunday at 1PM. The dirt oval will be opened soon. The track is located near Rt. 11 and Rt. 82. The address is 3182 Warren Sharon Rd. Vienna Ohio 44473. The phone number is 330-856-6275. From Rt. 11 take Rt. 82 east to the first cross road which is Scoville North Rd. (Yes cross roads on a 4 lane highway?!?) Turn left. Follow road to the end (not very long approx. 1/2 mile) and turn left on Old 82 a.k.a. Warren Sharon Rd. Go a short distance and follow the "curve" in the road. At end of "curve" look for sign in yard on left side.
MuchoMadness 06-08-2004, 11:06 AM Awesome! Do you guys have any pics of the track or info such as size, pit space, etc. Thanks Alot!
PGoogs 06-08-2004, 10:38 PM Not sure on track size but it's pretty big. They have some pit space under a lean too roof. There's 3-4 big tables. They got them from Scooter's/Extreme/Double D Hobbies that used to be in Niles if you were familiar with that track. I'll see if I can get you the info and maybe the next time I'm out I'll get some digital pics. You can call Have Fun (the number is above)

trashedmaxx 05-05-2005, 09:19 PM Has this track started for this year yet? What days and times is it? Is there going to be an offroad track?
BDDelbert2 05-06-2005, 10:01 AM
As of yet, I don't think the track has started. They are in the process of putting up a domed canopy. It is gonna be a pretty nice covered deal when it is done. I don't know the exact size, 40 x 80 maybe? They are pretty much an off-road track, but some of us would really appreciate an oval incorporated into the site. Lance and Pam are very nice people, and they have a fairly stocked hobby shop on site. Hopefully this week of good weather will allow them to get the track closer to being ready. Stop by and check it out.

Jo jo FRY 05-06-2005, 12:01 PM I had alot of fun here last year.. I am looking foward to it this year ! See you all there!
trashedmaxx 07-17-2005, 08:42 PM Is this track up and running? Is there a website? Whats the big classes there?
Jo jo FRY 07-18-2005, 10:35 AM The track is open we got rained out yesterday:( There supose to make it up next weekend .. Then start over .. Stock truck seems big and monster truck.
chevman81 08-17-2005, 09:58 PM I live near this track and was wondering what kind of turnout you get?
DIRT-TRACK 09-17-2006, 09:22 PM The outdoor track is 120 x 65 off road. The doom is 42x80 offroad for winter and rain days. we had a turn out of 20 today for the outdoor track. the classes were 9-stock truck, 9-mod buggy, 3-1/8 buggy 4-monster truck and 4-novice monster truck.
trashedmaxx 02-27-2007, 04:44 PM We need an update on how the track is going.
Scott54 02-27-2007, 05:45 PM Wow, I didn't even know there was a thread started for this track. Yeah, the track is in good shape and they had a great turnout last Sunday. And it's nice that their races are on Sunday because it won't interfere with Ashtabula.
trashedmaxx 02-27-2007, 05:52 PM Ok thanks for the reply. I ran there outdoor track a few times 2 seasons ago. I will try to get a few of us from up this way to go down. When is the Ashtabula crew planning on going?
vega3410 02-27-2007, 06:09 PM Is this place indoor or outdoor? The way it sounds is that they raced last sunday.
Scott54 02-27-2007, 06:44 PM They have an indoor and an outdoor track. Ryan and some people from Ashtabula were talking about coming down this Sunday but I haven't talked to anyone since Saturday.
Vega - They race every Sunday and this last sunday it didn't start until almost 1:00, people usually get there around 10:30 or so but I think because of the larger turnouts they are going to start the races right at 12:00. So it will probably open at 9:00.
vega3410 02-27-2007, 07:03 PM They have heat? How about a website? More info would be good.
Scott54 02-27-2007, 07:13 PM Well I doubt they have a website. Yes there is heat. There's a thermometer on the wall and stayed between 55 and 60 all day Sunday. Pit area is kind of cramped limited but I think they're making arrangements for more room very soon. $10 for first class, $8 for additional. They don't allow the 13.5 brushless in stock. Any other info you need? I'll help if I can.
vega3410 02-27-2007, 07:29 PM They race electric i take it?
Scott54 02-27-2007, 07:43 PM Yeah, only electric indoors. I think the indoor track would be little tight for nitro anyways.
trashedmaxx 02-27-2007, 10:26 PM They don't allow the 13.5 brushless in stock.
:( That sucks! I hope there is mod classes. Once you go brushless you never go back.
What tires work?
I'll wait to come down until the ashtabula crew goes.
Scott54 02-27-2007, 11:03 PM Well, I ran the exact same setup as I do in Ashtabula except I ran holeshots on the rear and it worked great.
Scott54 02-28-2007, 11:39 AM So it sounds like some of the racers that were going to make it down from Jefferson are going to hold off till next week.
Hangtime 02-28-2007, 07:12 PM I'm thinking about coming out Sunday, Is the 4wd class stock or mod. I guess what has been run lately?? Thanks!
Scott54 02-28-2007, 11:35 PM I'm not sure but I'm assuming the 4wd class is mod.
Scott54 03-05-2007, 12:41 AM If anyone's interested, next Sunday starts the new point series at Have Fun Hobbies in Vienna. It's a 6 week series and you drop your lowest 2. That's March 11th.
badassrevo 03-05-2007, 06:49 AM Do they run 1/18th scale?
Hangtime 03-05-2007, 11:03 AM man, I was going yesterday & had my gear packup, but my back flared up, i could barely move. Just my luck. I'll try again this week.
How did they manage with the high winds Sunday?? Does the structure hold up ok?
Thanks
Scott54 03-05-2007, 02:13 PM Doug - Yeah, they are running a 1/18th race. there were 6 I believe, a couple mini-t's, a couple mini LST's, and not sure what the others were. But all of the jumps, except for one, are perfect for that class. The biggest of the jumps is still manageable. And I read that article on the Tamiya car. Wow, I didn't think Tamiya made cars that nice. I also never seen an offroad track set up on carpets in an indoor basketball court!!
Hangtime - That place is so secure that I didn't even know we had high winds on Sunday!! We had another good turnout. Let's see, I think there was 2 4wd classes, 1 mod truck, 1 monster truck, 2 stock truck, 1 1/18th, and 1 mod buggy class.
Hangtime 03-07-2007, 10:03 AM Sounds like fun. I need to change my 18t over from the carpet setup. I guess I'm gonna have to get that aluminum chassis dirty!
I'll probably run 4wd & 18th scale.
Anybody, Do I need a table & cord???????
Scott54 03-08-2007, 12:48 PM They should have enough tables for everyone and I'm pretty sure they all have power already.... however, if they do get the turnout they're expecting, having your own table and extension cord might be a good idea.
DIRT-TRACK 03-09-2007, 08:44 PM When the 2nd floor is done it will double the pit space and have a 20'x20' 1/18 track
on it this should be done in a couple of weeks The wood is all there just getting it up.
RICOTHOMAS 03-11-2007, 08:22 PM Had fun today, nice atmoshpere, track was good, enough competition, would recommend to anybody in the area that has not been there yet should!

trashedmaxx 03-12-2007, 09:46 AM That 4wd main was fun to watch.
Had a great time running at the track.
Thanks Phil for not making me look like a failure and letting me bump up.
Talking to Lance its sounds like the pitting situation should be solved real soon.
I'll have to go down again to run the BRP on there soon to be mini track.

And asking for setup help. It also didn't sound as if parts were falling off of it when he drove it.
