Danny B 10-22-2004, 07:01 PM Chuck, With the off-set pod, we usually have it moved all the way in and it puts the LR just outside the LF. For LR weight the KSG tends to like a little bit more than most cars. 340-360 depending on traction and what class you're running. This comes from having the electronics all on the left side it makes it more like the weights we used to run with 6-cells back in the day.
Billy W 10-22-2004, 07:43 PM Andy and Jimmy originaly made the cutter for RACETECH...... It was awesome hope they start making them for themselves soon.

TeamGoodwrench 10-22-2004, 09:10 PM Bob, I run it one hole forward and 4th or 5th hole down depending on how smooth the track it. 3 inches end to end, fully extended is a good place to start with length.
I like running the car with the side shocks all the way down with a little bit softer springs, some guys like them in the second hole down with stiffer springs. Both have their advantages and disadvantages.
With the side shocks all the way down, what length are you side shocks ?
Thx.
mjmeer17 10-22-2004, 11:23 PM danny, when you run offset pod do you use the 1/2" right hub, and the long diff hub or standard diff hub?
ShortHanded 10-22-2004, 11:23 PM Hi,
Looking for a starting set-up for the KSG 1/12 scale. Flat Ozite carpet track, very similar to '03 Snowbirds track just a little shorter straights. Stock class.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Jack

chuck47 10-30-2004, 02:57 PM Danny a couple questions, you say you run your center shock in the 4th or 5th hole depending on the track well if the track is smooth where do you move the shock up or down. Rough? The other question the left toe corrector does it work and what does it do? Thanks for your input.
burbs 10-31-2004, 05:57 PM is ksg going to release any of the extra long t plates i seen on some cars at nats???
the ones that mount the front in the shock mount holes... they look cool.. would be nice to have them available...
Hey Jet, check out:
http://home.comcast.net/~mhor/dragon/dragonrc/misc.htm
That is a nice looking brush cutter...not blue but anyway. And what is this talk about long t plates.....will have to see if DB has one on this weekend!!!! Toe corrector takes out the bumpsteer in the left front. It does do it's intended job, I run them on my cars.

chuck47 11-03-2004, 08:00 PM I have questions hopefully someone has answers. I'm running stock, flat carpet, slider, off set pod. Lf green Rf blue Lr pink Rr black Jaco's I tried the batteries all the way out and then moved them 1/2" in measured from the outside if the chassis The car was real tight to the point of scrubbing speed I then shimmed out the left rear tire to push it coming out of the turn,The outside measurement is 7-15/16" the battery tray is set in the middle front to rear. The wheel base is set short. I've never run a offset pod and am wondering if that makes a lot of difference in setting up the car. Any suggestions?
Tommygun43 11-03-2004, 08:29 PM I would try a green left rear, get rid of that pink. That should definetely free it up. Try sticking with blues/greens/whites/grays etc for stock. Pinks/purples etc have rubber in them and often give to much grip...for stock racing, and are heavy.
I've tried the battery all over and found the best is normally as far back as you can get the tray to go and about 1/4" in. A little in or out makes a big difference, out usually will make it loser off the turn, in will tighten it up. Offset pod usually makes the car tighter off the turn (more weight on the LR). Try red springs in the front.
So changing to centered pod should help but I would change the LR and move the battery back before changing the pod.
This is just my opinion.
-Tom
Not really sure which pod you have, you said you had offset in first sentence and said never tried offset at the end.

chuck47 11-05-2004, 10:09 PM Tom, thanks for the reply, what I meant on pod use is I've never run a offset pod up until now, on my new car I have the offset pod for this racing season and am wondering is there a difference in setting one up as opposed to a regular pod.

I see what you mean now...I don't change anything else.

B-man777 07-19-2007, 11:37 AM hey all:Why such little info and pics of the ksg 1/12th oval car not only on the ksg site but also on other places on the net as well?If the ksg 1/10th oval car is so good you'd think their 1/12th oval car is as well and they'd want to talk it up just as much.Just my 2cents worth
BEACH 07-20-2007, 07:18 AM I really dont there is alot of call for any 12th scale stuff in the oval world right now. I know here in PA, there isnt any at all.
Jesse Bean 07-20-2007, 07:45 PM No there really isn't anywhere down here either. The only person worth beating is phil marabela whenever he's racing at a big event. The car is great but 12th scales have fallen off the map for the most part. It's hard enough to keep 1/10th stock goin with all the random class that are created by santioning bodies like ARCOR responding to harping spec truck and legends drivers wanting to race themselves for free!
Anytime72 07-21-2007, 12:09 AM The only person worth beating is phil marabela Correction the only person worth trying to beat in 12th scale.

Jamie Hanson 07-24-2007, 09:59 PM Strange thought.........I feel like being daring. It is about a 9 hour drive, but I am dying to get to the track. Roar nats may be out of my calander, but a race day is not. What is the turnout going to be like? What is the big class to run? What tires do I need? Rollout? Body? What is the record? Do you race on Saturday? Anyone from the Maryland area want to go? It is a long trip alone.

Firstly... pray for no rain saturday ( woooo! why is it everytime i talk to you lightning strikes right next to me Hanson? like just a second ago.Wierd! power just went out, lol.)
EXHALE.
sounds like a more than decent attendance from the ksg guys this weekend.
you can run four blue R's ,but most run four pinks/ 3-L's and an R/ pros left nets right. this is the hand out for the nats.
Bodies.. heard anywhere from chargers & intrepids to camrys & HDXs
i guess 4300 is the big class/ i'm runnin stock.
rollout will probably be like a 23-116 for those blue Rs. but 48-120 if your too scared for them.
saturday race at 1pm controlled practice in the morning.
i think 38 laps for stock is pretty much the target everyone's trying to reach still
tooslow073 10-09-2007, 09:23 AM i have a gen 2 ksg slider and ive heard ppl talking about cutting the chassis to give it more flex?if this is true what do you gain by doing so?also does anyone have pics of the cut outs? thanx.
