nitrojunk 05-20-2004, 11:50 AM was bought at a yardsale for 20.00 bucks.. anyone know what it is? RCThunder 05-20-2004, 12:01 PM Composite Craft Lynx.... back in the early 90's my parents bought me one from Tower for $399! OUCH! weee37 05-20-2004, 12:20 PM yup i had one of those one i first started looooong time ago. very nice car for the times. nitrojunk 05-20-2004, 01:05 PM boy you guys are good.. any idea if i can still get parts for it? what bodies fit on this thing nutz4rc 05-20-2004, 01:36 PM I have one of the front axles laying in a box at home. Don't know about the availability of anything else. I think this was a wide car as opposed to todays narrow superspeedway types. nitrojunk 05-20-2004, 01:48 PM would any of the bolink bodies fit maybe? weee37 05-20-2004, 03:25 PM if u can find a wide pan car body from someone it will fit. im not sure if they still make em anymore. David Butts 05-20-2004, 04:46 PM Composite Craft Lynx.... back in the early 90's my parents bought me one from Tower for $399! OUCH! Not only is Mike correct but that appears to be a mostly if not all original car all the way down to the useless plastic wing mounts and the never(well, maybe hardly) used original center shock. Some people today still use the aluminum turnbuckles though. I still have a few pieces of one of those around somewhere as once upon a time that car was totally state of the art. I was just yesteday talking about that car with a friend of mine. You should have seen the narrow LTO chassis for that car that completely filled the body with carbon fiber. Wonder where The Davis brothers are now? Hmm? Composite craft in the early days was known as D and D graphite before Tim Morton of TRC came along. All are just r/c history now. jflack 05-20-2004, 04:46 PM Dale at AAA Model Suppy in TN has parts hanging on the wall! If I remember right a ground effects chassis was hang in the group of parts. I loved the lynx II SS narrow car, Phone: 423-323-1513 service@aaamodel.com Echeconnee 05-20-2004, 08:24 PM I had a composite craft ground effects chassis for my first trip to the whip. I remember guys running those cars at our track back in 92, but I think it was the lynx 2 elite. I know Scott @ Scotts Hobbies in Branford FL has several old cars and parts. scottshobbies@alltell.net BullFrog 05-22-2004, 10:34 AM I've also got plenty of the frontend beams with different off-sets for the king pins.I've also got some wide Bolink bodies -new (TOJ,Nissan GTP,Porsche 962 and R&Smark3).Also got plenty of new foam tires-Bolink. Xanadu 05-22-2004, 11:18 AM Would anyone care to sell oneor two of this front ends? Please contact me at Xanadu072352@aol.com Thanks1 Marauder 04-11-2006, 08:14 AM LTO chassis? Kenwood 04-11-2006, 08:24 AM That LTO chassis looks like the wide LTO car...Its hard to tell in the pic because the LTO chassis and the LTOSS chassis were the same design with different widths... BUT the LTOSS kit had a different TOP shock tower plate.. It had Batwings that come off of it for body mounts.. Ive still got like 2 or 3 of these cars.. I have the regular elite car, then the elite2 with LTO wide chassis, the the SS narrow lto car.... I liked the rear sway bar, and there was a teflon dampening kit you could buy for the center pivot ball. it had an adjuster on it for preload.. it beat using damper tubes.. lol// willyplankhead 04-11-2006, 06:15 PM round up a old bolink body and stick it on the display shelf thats what i am gona start doing with those old rides NASCR3 04-11-2006, 08:52 PM I have one even older than that a VIPER PRO 10!!!!!! Nice Lynx though it definately looks like an original. Good shape too. John THE DARKSIDE 04-11-2006, 09:30 PM That Narrow Lynx II was a stout ride in it's day.... scott law 04-11-2006, 09:35 PM E- Remember the square left side hub. Lawman Marauder 04-12-2006, 07:34 AM Yeah, had just finished refurbing the wide LTO... the narrow SS model is on the bench now for refurb. Have a T-bird in Havoline colors autographed by Davey Allison to fit the SS. I'll post pics here first when it's done before releasing it for display at the local Hobby shop. Kenwood 04-12-2006, 07:37 AM That Narrow Lynx II was a stout ride in it's day.... Well not for very long, I ran it at roar nats in 1992 BUT I seem to recall the HYPERDRIVE H10RS coming out around that time.. because Hyperdrive was there and helping all the guys that had them.. On banked and concrete that was usually the car to have.. The SS associated car never really caught on.. What a disaster that race was for me...LOL... I could never get that body/car to work right. I broke everything that weekend.. :drunk: THE DARKSIDE 04-12-2006, 08:11 AM E- Remember the square left side hub. Lawman Yea, remember that. Remember a lot of people getting chasing the Strongs for a long time when they were running those cars. -E dave w 1 04-12-2006, 08:41 AM OH MAN do i feel old! dave w 1 04-12-2006, 08:45 AM Well not for very long, I ran it at roar nats in 1992 BUT I seem to recall the HYPERDRIVE H10RS coming out around that time.. because Hyperdrive was there and helping all the guys that had them.. Larry B 04-12-2006, 04:14 PM I also had one of the cars and ran it at the 1992 Roar Nat's at King, NC. I also had the complete inclosed version for the narrow car(1993 Nat's). Graphite from the Bumper to the rear and side to side under the body. I even taped up the openings in the bumper and the motor pod. The next year I had the New Hyperdrive H10RS. Kenwood 04-12-2006, 04:17 PM Was the enclosed version just a LEXXAN bottom half??I remember someone making a lexxan underside that covered everything up...you could tape that to the body and seal everything... But the only Ground effects lynx part I remember was the rear POD... I remember the lower GFX pod plate graphite... It had a KICK up in it..I think I still have that somewhere too...lol. Im not that old and Im starting to feel old dredging all this stuff up... dave w 1 04-12-2006, 06:13 PM Was the enclosed version just a LEXXAN bottom half??I remember someone making a lexxan underside that covered everything up...you could tape that to the body and seal everything... Larry B 04-12-2006, 06:35 PM Dave the chassis was the full width of the underside of the car. And yes I had the flip up on the car. At King they knocked a hole in the air and cars could draft up to them. I had a friend with one that pulled me down the back stright at King. I had no throtle on and the car was pullled up under the rear of his. Marauder 04-13-2006, 08:46 AM More.... Another blast from the past. Kenwood 12-21-2006, 09:20 AM You know what.. Im with ya on that.. Im so close to busting mine out its not even funny.. the only PITA with them was if you wrecked you had to realign everything because that #$*^%&^ floating rear pod..
