Cheese, dont get an s-10 extreme they really suck, especially since the one you were lookin at was the four banger one. i have a friend who just sold his because it was slower than a civic and it was so low to the ground that it was worthless as a truck, you should just get a normal s-10

Here's a question, should I simply buy a new 2.5 traxxas engine and the conversion kit for my Tmaxx, or should I just buy a sportmaxx and transfer over my goodies?

Engine: $130
Mounting Kit: $42
Sport Maxx: $310
REVO: $500

i wanna go see Lou and put myself on the list for a Revo...... i'd prolly just play with the revo to start...

Nick, if i were you i would prolly just wait and get the revo, as awesome as the t-maxx is the revo looks incredible.

about the ssr it looks pretty ugly and prolly handles like trash. but the corvette ls6 motor is just plain sweet. So i guess i cant badmouth it

Yeah, I have the proline widening kit, ball bearings everywhere (I guess that means I just put them in the steering), no reverse, top threaded body shocks (Integy, I think is top), aluminum blkdh braces, old differentials, aluminum skids, aluminum tuned traxxas pipe....

It always ran so well....I don't know what to do...

I don't think I want to go the OS route again, I've had 2 through my truck already, I was thinking about the fantom .15, but they're pretty expensive, anywhere from 140-170 (online atleast), and everywhere is out of them.

I don't know.....

hmm.... i guess you'd go the new traxxas 2.5 method then... BUT you'd need a new pipe header... i'd give you my old stock one if the engine didnt come w/ it... oh well... i wouldnt know what to do in your situation either....

Mike C. You got to Chill out on the track and on here. I got booted twice on sunday, but i didnt say anything. Once was by you, after you were done, and i was tring to finish my lap up. I dont remember if you even gave me the ohh sorry line. I also think that might have been the 3 seconds that i missed qualifiying 3rd in the main by. Then i got booted with in a second of the horn going off in the main, so i started half a lap down. :freak:

BLAH BLAH BLAH. the truck might be slower than a civic, but look at the weight. I had an s-10 with the ZQ 8 suspension in it, and i could out handle a civic any day of the week. Kinda like on the track, doesnt matter how much HP you got, if you cant put it to the ground in the corner, whats the point??

What classes do you run?

What is the most popular?

What days and times do you race?

Thanks for the information!!

Most popular this week i would have to say was 1/10 scale Electric truck offroad. Usually we run a host of classes, usually 20 heats. Do you have anything RC? If so, what is it? We should have a class to fit you in...

The club basically races every other Sunday thru mid-October. We have a few weeks where we run back to back - our next race is Sunday May 16th. On opening day last Sunday we had 75 entries. Registration closes at 11:15 am, racing begins at noon. Since the track is in a county park, it is available for practice anytime we're not racing.

We race both dirt oval and offroad. On the oval the most popular classes are 1/10th gas truck, 1/10th mod electric truck, and spec electric Rustler. Offroad it would be 1/10 mod electric buggy, 1/10th mod electric truck, 1/10th gas truck and TMaxx. We always have good fields in all those classes. Being a club, we also have a bunch of smaller, more special interest classes that reflect the interests of some members. Basically, we'll race almost anything that 4 peeople want and show up to race.

The website in the post above does have more info. We changed the offroad layout this year, and I don't think the pics of the new layout are up on the website yet. If you go back to the "old" Dirtrunners thread on this board that just closed, and page backwards from the end, you'll see some pics I posted of the new layout.

Please let us know if you have any other questions we can help you with.

Welcome to the thread.... for a general idea of what it is all about, see our website www.dirtrunners.com (http://www.dirtrunners.com)
we race every 2 weeks (approx.) and our NEXT race is May 16th.
the class lists are on the website as well... i personally am gonna run 1/10 2wd buggy MOD offroad, 1/10 2wd Truck MOD offroad, Tmaxx/monster truck offroad, and whatever MINI-T class there is.... (i sure hope it isnt OVAL...)
we also have Novice Stock Oval.... for the N00bs!
but we also have 1/10 gas OVAL and OFFROAD, amongst other classes that i am forgetting...

The SSR isn't about performance, its about horsepower, its about too much power for the chassis

Thanks Gary,

I think that about covers it.

I need to get the pictures ready (along with the updated rules), I will try to get to it this week, but it's usually tough to find the time, I think I'll shoot for getting the rules somewhat up tonight, and I will also try to get some pictures up. Hopefully by tomorrow morning there will be some new updates on the site.

I'm not arguing that, I'm just saying that the SSR isn't intended to be a fast vehicle, its meant to look cool and have a ton of power
