Trinity did send along a box of race prizes. Charlie and I will give them out on the next race day.

Tone, if you call Dot up at Marshall's, she can give you the names of a few different traction compounds that are odorless. I have been using them for a long time now and they work fine........WAYNE
Yes i think i will...... i was lookin at jack the gripper.......

Yes Craig, the TRC Spec foam tires, they have red rims and are cheaper than the standard tires. Also, before you ask, try plaids in the front and purples in the rear.

and can we use any weight shock oil,
Craig,

For the third or fourth time, now.

To Clarify, from the other page:

Here is the low-down.

Our rules are going to be any 190mm 2 or 4 door touring type body
Must use spec motor/batteries
Must use spec brushes (doesn't come with the kit, I don't know why)
Must use Spec foam tires (Foam tires made by trc that come on red rims)
$140 RETAIL price maximum on a speed control
limited gear ratios (within 5 pinions, and stock spur)
Open radio/servo/reciever
Can change springs/pistons and shock oil

The preliminary rules should be done some time this week, Trinity hasn't released any, and I will have a set soon.

Everything else on the car must remain stock.

What if I got my own rims, painted them red and mounted my own foam on them? Would that work? and could I change the right from ball stud on the steering hub? I want to use a black ball stud instead of a silver one.

I have a question regaurding rules for t-maxx small block, Can we race .21 small blocks picco makes a small block .21 and since the class is small block can we run it even though most small blocks only go to .18

kybob

i agree i also think we should get those x factor jumps just 1 or 2 so we could have some real truck excitement like jumping the middle section or something. just my opinion though

No you can't run this engine . In the first sentence they call it "small block" type , then they tell you it's a "medium block ". It even needs a special motor mount.

something definitely needs to be done about those jumps. the ones we have now are pretty weak.

They cant be much bigger because of the space we are in and we dont want to rip the carpet.

i know there has to be some limitations but i think we could do better than what we have now. if we were to make a jump that is semi big we could just build a landing ramp so the carpet would not get damaged

kybob
09-26-2004, 02:16 PM
or we could make a tabletop jump of somesort were majority of the time you will land on top of the table if you dont have enough speed

How about making sure trucks stay in the lanes? Look how many cars and trucks take the triple and dont land back in the lane. I know exactly what you guys want, but we have to keep the racing safe for the trucks and spectators that are right on top of the track.

Mike.

kybob
09-26-2004, 04:33 PM
what we could possibly do then is only put that jump out in the 19 turn trucks and people that run stock dont get it.

Mike.
then i guess that we'll have to put the jump some place other than the long straight near the pit tables, that takes care of the safety issue. and if one of the trucks flies off into anoter section of the track and breaks another truck then who cares? that kind of stuff already happens on the outdoor track and that didn't stop us from building the triple.

kybob
09-26-2004, 04:47 PM
what we could also maybe do is put the jump in front of the stage or in the c section so no one wil have enoguh speed to fly off of it and hurt someone

nicwald

What about storing the jumps?

Nick

kybob
09-26-2004, 06:33 PM
we would have to make them so they could fold up or be easily take apart

Yah, but what if YOUR monkey-ass dont remember to BRING the jumps??? and DONT tell me that wouldnt happen either.....
as for you guys CRAVING a 19 Turn truck class.... you guys can barely handle the stock trucks as it is....
now you guys want better jumps??? i will admit, the jumps from last year were lame, but what else can be done? you got storage issues, you got size issues (dont forget that the Mini-T's use them too - altho, a mini-t could take a slightly larger jump), you got safety issues, running space issues, and all that goood stuff to go along with it... honestly, with the current layout and size of the track (which i really really like) i dont think it'll be possible to go any larger with the jumps...
keep in mind, that these comments are just my $.02, and prolly dont mean jack-squat... but i just thought i'd share my input......

Hey Tone,

I just got back from vacation and was catching up on the posts. I was wondering if you ordered the Jack the Ripper traction formula. If not, I would also be interested in buying a bottle/metal can as well. Let me know if your even interested in doing it still.
