yea i no i really want to do this and who knows maybe when i am older i could be come prresident
combatcm 09-20-2004, 08:03 PM I am wondering what the indoor track looks like/what it will look like.
If you want to start a T spec class, count me in also, i'm not a touring car guy, but 120 to start is not that bad. I have some ideas to make it more fun though. Is it the stock body needed? All other parts have to be stock also, even the tires, right?

the rules for t-spec basically say that you must leave the entire kit bone stock. that includes the body and tires.
To Chris, for that setup tip you gave me! I don't think I could have beaten your dad otherwise...(of course the $20 I slipped you also helped ;) )
To Glen for the delicious tomatoes...keep 'em coming!
To Wayne for not destroying my truck...
To Paul for not showing up and letting me take 2nd place in the overall standing for monster oval and the track record...
and most importantly to everyone for being part of what I believe is a great community!!!
See you all on October 3rd

Here is the low-down.
Our rules are going to be any 190mm 2 or 4 door touring type body
Must use spec motor/batteries
Must use spec brushes (doesn't come with the kit, I don't know why)
Must use Spec foam tires (Foam tires made by trc that come on red rims)
$140 RETAIL price maximum on a speed control
limited gear ratios (within 5 pinions, and stock spur)
Open radio/servo/reciever
Can change springs/pistons and shock oil
The preliminary rules should be done some time this week, Trinity hasn't released any, and I will have a set soon.
Pretty much everything else on the car must remain stock.

Gary NJ 09-20-2004, 11:21 PM Hang tight, Mugem MBX5 parts may work. Trying to get clarification. G
Almost there big boy. One more post to be sure that I have all the right part numbers to make up a complete pair of cvds, and that they'll work with the stock Mayhem outdrives on the diff, and the stock Mayhem wheel hubs, but it's looking good. :) The Mugen stuff will run about $6 more than Mayhem parts would have, but that's not too bad. Remind me to give you clutch bearings when I see you next - I've forgotten the last two times. Also got rear arms to give you. And I'll take you up on that reamer without the cover you mentioned you had when we were at Marshalls - Lou didn't have the generic cheapo ones anymore :( G - out

OK, got everything confirmed. I have a set of Mugen part numbers to make up a CVD that will work in the Mayhem with our stock outdrives and wheel hubs. Only requires a slight mod to the Mayhem hub to mate properly with the Mugen CVD, not a biggie. $5 more than a Mayhem CVD. Call me tonite between 5 and 7 if you can and I'll fill you in. Detective Kosits out....

To Clarify, from the other page:
Pretty much everything else on the car must remain stock.

ok so would it be ok if i use the hpi mustang body since it is made for a touring car
craftmastaschiz 09-21-2004, 05:26 PM also what do u guys think would run good on the t spec as tire compounds they only make plaid, red, pruple, and magenta
nicwald 09-21-2004, 05:32 PM ok so would it be ok if i use the hpi mustang body since it is made for a touring car
Sure, as long as it is 190mm. The body rules is to open up the class to some different bodies and styles, but it's intent is to keep the bodies limited to the touring-type bodies, so no "wedge" type bodies.

Why does this feel like deja vu?
A good starting point is plaids in the front and purples in the rear.

What would be a good starting point for tires if I wanted to run a T-Spec in Touring mod oval? Could I run an Opel 2 door body on the car?
Mike
:p

No, you're not allowed to run a body at all!! And for tires, stick to the rubber tires ;)

i'll let you know in a while...
wayneny 09-21-2004, 08:16 PM Ryan, I'm not sure what tranny is in the chevy. I already bought a used Chevy Venture. There are other things wrong with the car as well. So I just figured to retire it. I may take the engine out and put it in my Blazer that is still sitting here on the driveway. Who knows.
As far as going to the Barn goes. It will depend on if I get some stuff done around here on saturday. I would love to go but my marriage is on the line here or maybe even my life. If I tell her that we are going racing before the stuff around here gets done it will be my butt in a sling. So if Chris and I go it will be a last minute thing.
See everyone soon.................WAYNE
sean cant drive 09-21-2004, 09:29 PM wayne, if you ever feel like gettin rid of the caprice just let me know. as long as the thing still runs i have a nice empty spot in my driveway for it.
wayneny 09-21-2004, 09:39 PM Kyle, I see you are here. Will you be going to the Barn sunday? I am going to try and make it............WAYNE
