Being the oldest and wisest finally counts for something!!!!!!!!!!!!yah, they could count the wrinkles, and deduct .1 sec from your total time.... you'd prolly have like negative lap times......

I think we ought to give handicaps based on age -- the older you are, the more laps you get!!

Ohh boy I will leave it alone.

Nickyah, because i can run faster.. not by much... thats where the age comes in...
BTW, i've read a few other clubs threads in the past.... and ours is pretty tame with the smack talk compared to some... its nice that we can all "get along" or at least be hospitable to one another...

Nickno... it was more of a statement of futility.... i wish i could rebuild it myself... i just dont wanna do that, i am too lazy... maybe, just MAYBE, if i buy a new engine (dynamite .12spd) i will let you race it sometimes! i was gonna do the "Go Fast.... Turn Left" thing w/ it... i'm not sure what it needs to make it work (other than radio eq)... for all i know, the engine might be good.... it DID make a POP noise before it died.. and the header stripped out the bolt holes in the crank case.... it was running about 245* w/ a nice bit of blue smoke.... any ideas?

i've actually been enjoying the weather this week.... i like the LATE evening T-storms that light up the sky, and all the wetness that i smell the next morning....

I can't wait to see the great new features the flooding has lef for us. The drainage ruts, dmaged jumps and massive puddles should make for some great racing.

Actually, it was my understanding that the class was already decided. My understanding for offroad is that stock configuration Maxxes with up to midblock .21s were one class, evrything else was Unlimited MT. On the oval it was only small block stock config Maxxes.

I stand corrected: Off road TMaxx is small blocks only, up to and including .18's. All .21's, including the new midblocks by Picco/Ofna/Orion, are NOT legal in TMaxx. Sorry for the confusion, me bad.

There is an unlimited t maxx class for anyone that brings one. that would include 21s and up. and what ever else t maxx type truck there is. off road t maxx is a "stock" small block t maxx class.

Its alright, my plates full with the stuff I want to race anyways, and the list keeps growing...what was the count now, Mike? 6 classes I wanted to run?...I think a bit too many.

I don't know Tone, I'd have to take a look at it, it could be a lot of things.

The members voted that monster offroad and monster oval must be small block motor. No mid size 21. Open monster offroad is eveything from mid size 21 and up. They arent TMAXX classes anymore because ther are so many other trucks that fit into the class. WAYNE

Well, anyhting under a .21, so "mid-Blocks" are allowed too
There seems to be some confusion on terms here. Small blocks are .18s and smaller. They are all basically the same size externally, and they can be mounted interchangably using the same motor mounts. Big block .21s are physically quite a bit bigger than small blocks, use different motor mounts, and physically don't fit on stock TMaxxes without lengthening the chassis to make room for the motors. Mid block .21s are a new size of motor specifically created to bring .21 power to stock chassis TMaxxes, extending the trend begun by the various manufacturers that bought out direct drop in .18s for the TMaxx last year. Introduced in early 2004, mid block .21s have .21 displacement, but they have crankcases that are bigger than small blocks, and smaller than big blocks - hence the name. They can't bolt directly on to a TMaxx motor mount - they are sold with a motor mount adapter that does the conversion between the slots on the TMaxx chassis, and the bolt pattern on the motor. But they do have cranks that are compatible with the stock TMaxx clutch, they can use the TRX EZStart, and they are slide carb/rear exhaust so they can use the stock TRX pipe and throttle linkage. Picco makes them all, and they are marketed by Werks Racing (Picco), Ofna and Orion, in pullstart and nonpullstart versions. At DR, they are not legal in the offroad small block TMaxx class, and are not legal on the oval at all.

Apparently, for the offroad, it doesn't matter, anything goes, if it is an unlimited MT class.
