kybob 09-01-2004, 08:52 AM tone link to the tires http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5918560992 wayneny 09-01-2004, 09:27 AM I think Chris M. boiled off his bowties for his maxx and the tires were still good afterwards. Chris can you confirm?? Mike Hey it's Chris yes I did that and it worked. kybob 09-01-2004, 09:34 AM chris to make the maxx shift faster i turn the second set screw in the transmission counter clockwise correct? nicwald 09-01-2004, 09:58 AM chris to make the maxx shift faster i turn the second set screw in the transmission counter clockwise correct? There are 2 screws you can get to in that gear, one is perpendicular to the cross section of the shaft (you don't want to touch that one) and the other one is at a slight angle, this is the set screw to play with. http://www.traxxas.com/support/pub/the_complete_tmaxx_guide_part3.htm "Turn the adjustment screw clockwise for a later engagement, or turn the adjustment screw counter-clockwise for an earlier engagement" Nick wayneny 09-01-2004, 10:01 AM Erik, turn the second set screw counter clockwise about 1/8 of a turn. Try it then and see if you like it there. If not you can re-adjust as many times as you want. Just remember to go a little at a time...............WAYNE kybob 09-01-2004, 10:14 AM thanks for all the help guys wayne i figured out why i was stripping the spurs, it was because the actual mount that motor screws into had 2 stripped screws it and the was causing the clutch bell to move up and down and strip the gears. GeorgeW 09-01-2004, 10:52 AM Official entry count for the Challenge is at 102, so don't wait till the last minute. GW nicwald 09-01-2004, 11:08 AM Official entry count for the Challenge is at 102, so don't wait till the last minute. GWGeorge, we race RC, we always wait for the last minute.... Are the womps at Zeppelin George? I think we need at least 1 new chassis...so if there are any put one or two on the side for me, and I'll get it Friday and we'll be set with atleast 2 cars, then! Nick nicksplaything 09-01-2004, 01:38 PM Nick, If you think its a good idea for me to race then sign me up. Just pick something that you dont care if I total. :freak:if u are talkin about racing the Challenge, i got a few cars that you can total! let me steal cheese's MF2, and you could run that in novice stock, and hit EVERYTHING you can! in all seriousness tho, i got an indestructable car or 2 that would serve you well..... -Tone eviltone 09-01-2004, 02:13 PM thanks for all the help guys wayne i figured out why i was stripping the spurs, it was because the actual mount that motor screws into had 2 stripped screws it and the was causing the clutch bell to move up and down and strip the gears. sounds like that might have happened from all the hard landings you were making that one day that i was there practicing with you! my recommendatgion for you, when you DO buy a new motor, buy a high quality motor mount, like the RD LOGICS one or the dynamite one that i have.... they're solid aluminum billet, and they also act like heatsinks, so the engine supposedly runs a little cooler!! -Tone eviltone 09-01-2004, 02:16 PM Official entry count for the Challenge is at 102, so don't wait till the last minute. GWyo yo! I heard your computer works now..... new keyboard and all.... soooo .... did you get my 2 latest new classes that i am running? i gave it to your messenger...... -Tone kybob 09-01-2004, 02:19 PM sounds like that might have happened from all the hard landings you were making that one day that i was there practicing with you! my recommendatgion for you, when you DO buy a new motor, buy a high quality motor mount, like the RD LOGICS one or the dynamite one that i have.... they're solid aluminum billet, and they also act like heatsinks, so the engine supposedly runs a little cooler!! -Tone it was running it without a body the whole first day i had it. right now i am going to buy the stock one for the 11bucks it is also aluminum and a new motor hopefully cures all the gear stripping problems i have been having kybob 09-01-2004, 02:20 PM Hey George W is it still too late for my brother to sign up for the challenge? nicksplaything 09-01-2004, 02:21 PM Can do! :) Nick Thanks! I might run something on the oval though, we shall see. Nick GeorgeW 09-01-2004, 03:11 PM Nick, I'll bring the womps down Thursday, and put aside a new chassis. Maybe you should run your T-MAXX on the oval ;), just an idea. Emily could run my Rustler in novice if she wants. Imagine Tone as a school bus driver. As for everyone else, I would sign up as soon as possible, Cheese this means you. nicwald 09-01-2004, 03:22 PM Nick, I'll bring the womps down Thursday, and put aside a new chassis. As for everyone else, I would sign up as soon as possible, Cheese this means you. OK, hopefully I won't have to work too late Friday, I'm planning on coming in for a half day to get some things taken care of. I should be able to get the womp together no problem, should be easy enough. I think I can get something together for Emily, it shouldn't be a problem. I don't know about T-Maxx on the oval, T-Maxx likes to jump too much. I think T-maxx would get angry with that, and I don't want to deal with a PO'd T-Maxx. Nick GeorgeW 09-01-2004, 03:26 PM Fair enough, Monster Truck Open it is :). gw nicwald 09-01-2004, 04:11 PM Fair enough, Monster Truck Open it is :). gwI don't even know if it'll be up and running by then. Hopefully there is nothing major wrong, I haven't fixed it since it broke at Wayne's, for that matter I haven't even looked at it. I hope its an easy fix!
