There are 2 screws you can get to in that gear, one is perpendicular to the cross section of the shaft (you don't want to touch that one) and the other one is at a slight angle, this is the set screw to play with.

Erik, turn the second set screw counter clockwise about 1/8 of a turn. Try it then and see if you like it there. If not you can re-adjust as many times as you want. Just remember to go a little at a time...............WAYNE

wayne i figured out why i was stripping the spurs, it was because the actual mount that motor screws into had 2 stripped screws it and the was causing the clutch bell to move up and down and strip the gears.

sounds like that might have happened from all the hard landings you were making that one day that i was there practicing with you! my recommendatgion for you, when you DO buy a new motor, buy a high quality motor mount, like the RD LOGICS one or the dynamite one that i have.... they're solid aluminum billet, and they also act like heatsinks, so the engine supposedly runs a little cooler!!

yah, tha stock one is CAST aluminum.... notably weaker and not as good at conducting heat.... it also strips out easier as well... the aftermarket ones are between 16 and 25 bux, it'd be more worth wile fpr you to invest the extra cash now, than later........

OK, hopefully I won't have to work too late Friday, I'm planning on coming in for a half day to get some things taken care of. I should be able to get the womp together no problem, should be easy enough.

I think I can get something together for Emily, it shouldn't be a problem. I don't know about T-Maxx on the oval, T-Maxx likes to jump too much. I think T-maxx would get angry with that, and I don't want to deal with a PO'd T-Maxx.
