rgross98 08-20-2004, 09:35 PM Use the electronics from your buggy in it, that way you can race your truck and the T-spec. So all you'll need is the kit (with battery, motor and body) and a cheapo speed control. I finally tried the tempo-11 Mtronkis speed control last night, and it works great, it'll be perfect for the T-spec. Finally you'll need some tires, and I would suggest to start out with plaids/purples, they are pretty much the standard setup for touring on carpet, and are a good starting point.
Nick
Hey Nick,
I just purchased the T-spec for this winter indoors. Could you help me figure out where to buy the tires you specify as a good starting point. And, are they T-spec tires or can we use any foam tires?
Thanks
Robert
kybob 08-20-2004, 09:40 PM anyone selling a tmaxx?
rgross98 08-20-2004, 09:58 PM I am bringing my tmaxx this sunday. I have a deal pending for $150. If it falls through, then you can take a look and see if you like it. It has a 2.5 engine with only 1/2 gallon through it, proline suspension, big bore shocks, Lots of spares, aluminum skid plates, aluminum servo skid plate, FOC, brand new never run sport trax tires on proline rims, titanum lunsford tie rods (part of proline suspension upgrade) pull start installed and electric start not installed. I usually pit across from the driver stand with a silver subaru.
Robert
kybob 08-20-2004, 10:01 PM sounds like a deal to me. when will you know if the deal is gonan happen or not because i will bring extra money to pay for it at the race if you still have it for sale for 150. deal sounds real good
kybob 08-20-2004, 10:06 PM on sunday i will mosey on over t your pit area because that is near where me ryan criag and tone usually pit
craftmastaschiz 08-21-2004, 07:44 AM ok well good luck everyone i cant make this race cuz i am going to be gone this week in maryland at the shore so just wanted to wish everyone good luck of racing

The Cheapest I have seen them is on Shopatron. I am going to start out with plaids in the front and purples in the rear, which is a pretty standard sertup for touring.
Plaids: http://www.shopatron.com/product/product_id=TRNTRI90805/158.0
Purples: http://www.shopatron.com/product/product_id=TRNTRI90807/158.0
They are the spec foam tires, and I'm sure we'll be running foams indoors, and like street spec will only allow the spec tires.

The ones your showing are mounted on orange dish wheels. But they also have the same shore (purple, plaid) mounted on dark rims and are black/gray foam color?
What is the difference.
Thanks.

The ones on the red/orange rims are the spec tires, like the 1/10 street spec counterpart, the class will only allow the spec tires (which are cheaper than the other regular TRC tires). We will see if any other manufacturer makes some, and if they do, they will most likely be allowed as well. It is also possible, that if the spec tries end up costing more than regular foams, we may just open it up to all foam tires (just to save costs). We will just need to wait and see what the trinity rules are, and if we don't have them come the end of September I will draft up a set and let everyone see and make suggestions so we can come to some sort of spec rules.

CHEESE!! ther is no rustler that i can bring, o broke craigs somehow when i dropped it (dont ask) and i snapped off the tranny when tryin to Jerry-rig some sort of apparatus on mine.... i am too farkin lazy to fix it, and mike, i wouldnt bother switching out motors from the MF2 so he could race.... if you had mentioned it EARLIER, i woulda been able to MAYBE do something... so call Twiggy to see if he can bring the t3.....

eviltone 08-22-2004, 11:25 PM Ryan, good luck with the maxx let me know about any problems (shouldn't be I hope)
Dennis
Dennis, the maxx wasnt too bad..... it was a little dirty around the glowplug, and it was runnin WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY too lean.... but other than that - and the fact that there is no RANGE on the damn radio system (prolly a not charged hump pack and a gay ass failsafe...) it isnt that bad.... i'mma gonna assist him with some setting up, and stuff... the idle was too high too, which would explain a lot.... it just needs a little TLC... which isnt much... mebbe some new fuel lines, and filters....
-Tone
