I would consider running a T-Spec, if TONE and I ran TC MOD we might just move the stage. :)

-Tone
SHADOW = Dirk Douma, he didn't race last year, I think he stopped up a couple times. He used to race with us :( but now he races at Marshalls.

I am running the book gearing, and i have the surge packs, i think i might have to take a closer look at the motor

the front springs are smaller on the buggy right(question mark)
Yeah, you got it!

Nick.....

will an 11x5 be fast enuff (powerful enuff) to compete and get the HELL out your way in TC mod??? i just dun wanna screw up the flow in that class too much... i been studyin the TC3 a lot lately..... oval setups and all....

if not, i was thinkin of gettin a 9x4 armature and sticking it in my binary cans that i used to use outdoors.....

-Tone
I've had a lot of luck with double winds with the touring car. The latest motor I've been running is the 10x2 vantage...if regular brushes I run 9x2. I can give you a ball park setup that I run, if you want...

werd.... the reason i was thinkin of runnin a x4 or a x5 is i am concerned about smoothness.... and as for a ballpark setup, thats cool too... i'll just take some suggestions (especially Tire suggestions.....)... are yu still gonna run that Losi Sedan, or did you make a jump to the Shaft TC3???

EDIT: Disregard the motor question... we typin at the same time......

I don't have a XXX-S, I run a TC3! I run a 10x2 vantage or a 9x2 regular brushed motor.

Setup:
40wt oil all around
-2 degrees camber all around
0/-1 degree toe in the front
0 degree ftont caster blocks
Blue and red springs (Blues in the front, I think)
purple tires all around, cut down pretty small
5.5mm ride height all the way around the car
body as low as you can get it (protoform mazda 6)
Not sure on gearing off the top of my head
I think thats a good starting point.

Thats good for offroad and dirt, but touring cars are nice with doubles...I didn't like singles, though...I think I have a 9x3 that ran pretty good as well, but I like the double winds better, get a 10x2 round brush setup, they're nice.

i'll try the spring setting for sure.... is 5.5mm the lowest ride height that we can go??? i think with my small ass foams, i was running like 3mm last year....
as for my body that i gonna run - Honda Civic..... i'll be sure to slam it as low as possible... if not, i'll get a new body, like a lambo or sumfin.....
as for gearing, dun worry bout it, i'll figure it out....
and..... i think i'll run that 40 weight too....
no sway bars or anything Nick??? mine has them installed already.....

i ran it in the street w/ a 14turn geared like 24/72 (i think....) and it was friggin FAST.....

Galo runs a XXX-S, and Gary Kosits ran one also. I've always run the TC3. 3mm is way too low, the car will drag when cornering, and you'll definitely hit the bumps. I'd dump the honda civic and get a mazda 6, mg, stratus 2.0, alfa romeo 2.0, chrysler 300m, infiniti G35, they have all worked well for me. I don't run any sway bars, and I think Jon Williams was running a similiar setup to me as well. I know Mark Santee was running the same seyup I was running, but I don't know what he's running now.

Usually its pretty standard to run plaid fronts with purple rears for carpet, but I like the purples all the way around for our carpet.

Well, If there is enough interest I would like to run the road course class, and I'm sure there will be an oval class. I'm also sure our rules will use the foam tires. I emailed trinity about official rules, but I still haven't heard anything back from them yet...We'll just have to wait it out.

T-Spec is a cheap way to get into touring cars, I got mine for $140 with battery and motor, and it is like street spec with price limitations on speed controls (Nothing more than $130 retail). I got a Mtroniks speed control, and you can get it on stormer for $40 the tempo-11 or something like that. The tires are a bit pricey, but cheaper than regular touring tires. Thats about all you can change in the kit, and it comes built, and there isn't much you can do to free it up, so its pretty much ready to race out of the box.

Don't think he'll be able to run anytime soon. He's been concentrating on the points championships at wall (modified and legend)and running the micro sprints in PA and on off dates when he is able running a midget now too.

They will be, we have a whole load of clay to fix them up to how they should be, the track should be better than when we first built it. We have a lot more clay now then we did then, we just need people to help move it, because it sure isn't going to move itself!
