Nick It does come with a laptop to configure it though nicwald 08-04-2004, 01:57 PM I do not think we have the point series stored on the computer, so that means it would have to be made up by hand, well...excel...now, this being said, are there people who would be interested in seeing the points? If so let me know, and I will start on the tabulation of the results thus far this season. Even then I didn't seriosly consider racing until I went 2 days ago. I bought a brushless motor system for my mini T (a nice graphite chassis to go with it too) and went to the track to push it to it's limit. This one kid (the kid with the new revo) was overly excited and told me I should race, then he mentioned a mini T oval. I wanted to know what are the limits of cells and such in this class. I bought the Comp X motor and it is almost over my head with the 8 cell, but it will kick my violator around the oval any day. I appreciate the help. nicwald 08-05-2004, 08:15 AM  Nick, I have been keeping a tally of the points series. The only race we missed was on Fathers Day. The rules can be found on the Dirt Runners web site at www.dirtrunners.com (http://www.dirtrunners.com) For batteries, any 4, 5 or 6 cell battery can be used (not lithium batteries). As of now, the class is broken into a modified and stock class. The modified class has been running with small and big block motors. I'm sure you would be able to run the brushless, just as long as everyone in the class was ok with it. Nick nicwald 08-05-2004, 09:12 AM Is there a hot and steamy voice on the message? I'm sure Wayne will make it real hot and real steamy, Mike. Nick nicwald 08-05-2004, 09:51 AM Speaking of Brushless motors, I heard that they will be made legal for ROAR racing in 2005, so I think this will also need to be discussed at the rules meeting at the challenge. Traditionally, the limit is 6 cells iin the mini-t class.... also, when we first created the class, it was a no brushless class... but then again, thinkgs do change.... it'll be better to hear from a board member (WAYNE or whomever else) about this... i really dont see a problem w/ it (that is unless you whoop my arse - just kidding).... i mean i USED to have the fastest mini-t down the straights.... just couldnt get it around the corner too well, i had to go to 1/4 throttle - and i am only runnin a peak raider or a big block - whichever i think is good for the race... i HOPE you show up - it'll be fun...... -Tone craftmastaschiz 08-05-2004, 01:44 PM hey ryan how much longer r u going to be gone for and does anyone know if he is racing sunday nicwald 08-05-2004, 01:55 PM Traditionally, the limit is 6 cells iin the mini-t class.... also, when we first created the class, it was a no brushless class... but then again, thinkgs do change.... it'll be better to hear from a board member (WAYNE or whomever else) about this... i really dont see a problem w/ it (that is unless you whoop my arse - just kidding).... i mean i USED to have the fastest mini-t down the straights.... just couldnt get it around the corner too well, i had to go to 1/4 throttle - and i am only runnin a peak raider or a big block - whichever i think is good for the race... i HOPE you show up - it'll be fun...... -ToneWhat am I, chop liver? Nick nicwald 08-06-2004, 03:40 AM which hobby shop does everyone go to? ill be going to the track for the first time sunday... and need parts! is there one onsite? No shop on site, most people go to these 4 places, Zeppelin Hobbies in Riverdale, Cruisin' with RC in Ramsey, Crispy Critters in Totowa and Tech Toys in Parsipany. If you need parts for associated or Losi there probably will be someone at the track that can help you out if you break anything you don't have spares for. Also, there are some hobby shops that come up and sell some parts and things, Cruisin with RC and Crispy Critters are usually there for the Sunday Race. Nick Gary NJ 08-06-2004, 08:41 AM which hobby shop does everyone go to? ill be going to the track for the first time sunday... and need parts! is there one onsite? Cruizin RCs in Ramsey comes to our track every race with a deep assortment of parts for sale for many of the more popular cars and trucks, including complete RTR vehicles and fuel. If you call Cruizin at their store in Ramsey up to the day before the race with a specific parts request, they will be sure to bring it to the track for you. They also are able to take credit cards at the track up until 3pm on raceday, as they call their 'brick and mortar' store in Ramsey for authoriaztion while they're open (the store closes at 3pm Sundays). So, while there isn't a pemanent hobby shop on site, there is a lot more than just "some guys have parts with them" - we have a much better, more formal arrangement than that! Cruisin's # is (201) 825-4884, they are at 54 E Main St in Ramsey, and the owner is Ron Bosco. In addition, as Nick said, when the guys from Critters come race, they also have some parts with them, and they too have been willing in the past to bring a part if they're coming and you call them in advance. Some of our club members also carry a lot of spares - more as a throwback to the days before Cruizin started coming to every race - so if you can't find a part, be sure to have our race director put what you need over the PA system so people can check there own stock of spares for you. Since Sunday is your first time racing with us, be sure to stop by the race director's booth (under the drivers stand) and introduce yourself, so we can help give you the lay of the land and answer any questions you have. The weather forecast for Sunday sounds great! USPatriot 08-08-2004, 11:20 PM IT was a crazy day, and i have to agree with tone, we need to get some lights, Hallster i am going to call you tom night, i am working some weird hours this week sean cant drive 08-08-2004, 11:40 PM cheezenutz, pm me that new aim sn of yours vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2013, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
