All of them, every 2 years we have an election for all the board positions, current board members can run again, and there is no term restrictions. Usually there are not a lot of people who run, we're usually lucky to have enough people to fill the positions, which are:

President - Currently Charlie Sweet

Vice President - Currently Mike Kucharski

Jr. Vice President - Currently Chris Miele (A younger club member for this position)

Treasurer - Currently Me

Secretary - Currently Wayne Miele

Track Master - Currently none (Jim Deyoung)

2 years ago the only people running were the current board. Dirt Runners is usually lucky to have a full board, let alone needing a vote for the positions.

Nick
Now, can the people who are currently in those position re-run for another term or not?? also lets say, since you're the treasurer, you decide you wanna run for president..... can you do so???

heh... i see 2 positions that would be cool to fill... hmm.... mebbe u could run..... interesting....

oh yah, can people NOMINATE people too???

markMark, there are several different servos you could use for touring cars. If your main concern is running indoors on the Dirt Runners oval, then a Futaba 3305 will work just fine for ya. (You can get them at Zeppelin last time I checked.) With touring car your main concern is the torque rating since the cars are dealing with tons of traction/side bite/four-wheel drive as well as the sheer weight of the touring car.

If you plan on running at other tracks (i.e.: road courses) you'll not only want a servo with a high torque rating, but one with a faster transit time (speed). I use a Futaba 9252 and love it. It's digital, has a fast transit time and keeps the servo arm *super* straight making it track really well. Just make sure your receiver is capable of using digital servos.

If you decide on the 3305, it'll work in any standard receiver that supports Futaba servos.

oh yah, can people NOMINATE people too???

-ToneWell, they way it works, is everyone who runs must be nominated by another club member. The person who is nominated (who must also be a club member) must also want to do it, though. This is why Glenn Stoel hasn't been on the board, we try to nominate him for president every year! The positions are open to any club member (18 or older) which includes the current board. So say, I could run for president this year if I wanted to (which I do not want to), or I could run for my current position or another. As I said there are no term restrictions so someone could be on the board for decades!

Nick

P.S. The Junior VP does not have to be 18, I think, but I'm not sure the age restriction is 16 (I will have to check with Charlie). The junior VP is supposed to be a younger club member though, so it should be someone between the ages of 16 and 19 (if 16 is the cut off).

To everyone out there in Hobbytalk land. Charlie and I are going to try and remedy the problem you electric guys had last sunday. It seems that everyone wasn't ready for the second round of qualifiers because batteries weren't charged all the way. This week we are going to try and run Nitro heats in both rounds and still have longer mains. We will see what time we finish. It makes it very hard when people get to sign up late. It takes a long time to get squared away with frequencies and such. So please get there on time. Everyone will benefit from it. Last sunday we started at 11:05 then I had to take a 40 min. break to add all the latecomers. If you need me to sign you up post it here or call my cell phone. If anyone needs the number let me know and I will private message you. Thanks to all who help out on race days.............WAYNE-OUT

Hey Sean (I know you're not sean, but can't remember your name),

Thanks for asking, but I have not had time. I worked 12 hours on fri, and then worked 11 hrs on sat. I did not get home until after 7 last night. I was hopping for this morning but he rain screwed that up. I will try to get out of work on time at least once this week to break it in and then practice next sat. and race on sunday. I guess inorder to afford to live and have this hobby, I give up alot of my free time to make money to support my addiction. Feel free to come check it out on sunday. I usually park across from the driver stand, blue canopy and silver subaru wagon.

Later,

Robert

Dennis, enjoy your vacation down in Fla. It's cool that you are bringing your R/C's with you. Make sure you let us know how the racing scene is down there. Have FUNNNN!

Craig, I will sign you up for the race. If you get a speed control for your buggy post it and let me know to sign you up in that class too.

Rob, congrats on your REVO. Hope you get it broken in before sunday. If not maybe you can get there earlier and do it sunday morning. Just make sure you don't skimp on the break-in to race it. It shortens the life of the motor..See all of you on Sunday..

Except Dennis and Cortney anyway..................... :freak: WAYNE-OUT
