Nick,
Did you notice that you are an Elder Statesman now. I think you might be taking Bobs title as Ambassador. :p I found out that my new manager is trying to get us in to Boston for a Sawks game in the Corp. bawx. hehehe got to hate the accent.

eviltone 07-14-2004, 09:44 AM Think a Mini-T is capable of going atleast rustler spec laps indoors on the oval?
Nickyah... definately....i'll even go a lil kamakaze to prove it..... i'll leave my outdoor gearing and motor on and drive it like that indoors.... just to prove a point.... how bad was it last year????
-Tone
edit: looks like wayne had the record of 45, which is pretty dang close to the rustler spec as it is.... sooooo i'm sure this year it'll be faster indoors. Better Drivers, more experience with the little car, more "hop-ups" (ie: Titanium TB's) available that will insure that there will be less broken down cars.... its a definate... but it definately comes down to driver skill... and i am willing to take a young novice under my wing to prove it.....

Kinda curious if the ROAR legal binary 19turn D6 with the locked 24 deg endbell will be legal in the 19 turn classes @ Dirtrunners indoors (specifically 19 turn touring). Any Advise ?

Regards... Rorywow... i thought i was the ony one thinking that.... i guess the more relevant question is... does the damn thing have the quad mags or not?? i wanted the damn arm in a d5 can w/o the quad mags.... in that config, it still works under the current rules i believe. i think the motor that we'll be needing to get a look at is the Trinity ULTRABIRD 19t....
anyway... how's the Cyclone doing that you bought from me?
-Tone

Hey There Tone...
The Cyclone is doing fine. Thanks Again !!! The Trinity motor is on RC4less.com for $55 http://rc4less.safeshopper.com/43/461.htm?564 . Looks sweet !!! I think there was some resistance to the quad magnet D5's last year, hence the reason I'm asking. I think I'll probably pick one up anyway.

The only thing I am fairly certain about for 19Turn class (12th scale at least) is that we are sticking with a machine wound arm. But I think this needs to be voted on, it’s probably a good idea to get this taken care of before the start of the indoor season. I will talk to the other board guys and see if we can't have a vote at the dirt runners challenge, so we can just send 1 flyer for both events. We really do not have a rock solid motor rule, at first it was just chameleon motors, then people ran the binary 19T last year, I think some people ran the yokomo based 19T spec as well; we really need to come to a rule that will suit all 19Turn classes that we run. It is my understanding that the EDM's that we're running have a 19T motor rule, although I still do not have a copy of these rules. Basically, I think we should come up with a general 19Turn rule, and apply it to everything. The only motor I know that will be legal under any rule we decide will be the chameleon 2. As to anything else, it will need to be decided upon.

I feel the same. It will be easier for people to move from one class to another, and just easier on us (the board) to keep track of everything.

sean cant drive 07-15-2004, 12:30 PM just a suggestion, maybe the club could order some 19 turn spec motors sorta like what they do with stock motors. this would completely end disputes over which motors are legal and which motors are not and it would keep the field pretty much equal in horsepower. it would also keep the cost down somewhat.
nicwald 07-15-2004, 12:43 PM just a suggestion, maybe the club could order some 19 turn spec motors sorta like what they do with stock motors. this would completely end disputes over which motors are legal and which motors are not and it would keep the field pretty much equal in horsepower. it would also keep the cost down somewhat. We considered doing that, and I'm not sure who was looking into it, but the only down side is then the people who already own 19Turn motors, they become pretty much useless. But it is definitely another option that will need to be revisted.
Nick
GeorgeW 07-15-2004, 03:13 PM An election in November/December would be fine. That way I could be President by January.

Thats the way it works, 2 year terms, and the current board started in January 2003.

rgross98 07-15-2004, 10:14 PM I Just can't hold back my excitement, and I need to tell someone (I don't have any friends who like rc and the wife is not happy with the new purchase), so I figured I would just post it here. I Picked up my new revo from zeps today, chris and charlie were there. We just looked at it for like 20 minutes :freak: :)
I will hopefully break it in this weekend and then be able to race in tmaxx offroad next race day. See ya at the track

Well, thats the problem, there is no solid rule....and the D6 has a hand wound arm, which make a huge difference. Its something that needs to be discussed.
Nick
nicwald 07-16-2004, 06:03 AM what "offices" are up for election??? obviously Pres and VP, but what other officer opsiotions???
-ToneAll of them, every 2 years we have an election for all the board positions, current board members can run again, and there is no term restrictions. Usually there are not a lot of people who run, we're usually lucky to have enough people to fill the positions, which are:
President - Currently Charlie Sweet
Vice President - Currently Mike Kucharski
Jr. Vice President - Currently Chris Miele (A younger club member for this position)
Treasurer - Currently Me
Secretary - Currently Wayne Miele
Track Master - Currently none (Jim Deyoung)
2 years ago the only people running were the current board. Dirt Runners is usually lucky to have a full board, let alone needing a vote for the positions.
