Another great day of fun at Dirtrunners is in the books. I sure hope everyone had as much fun as I did. The electric guys are going to have to adjust their charging times for the second round. We had 127 entries and were done around 7:00. That alone was fantastic from my side of the bench. We were able to pack up and still had time to talk to people and it was still light out. The longer mains in the nitro classes were soooooo much fun. It really levels the playing field giving every racer a chance to come back after a mishap. I think it also helps the overall day to be shorter as ther is no lost time between heats in the second round. We shall see.

Congrats to Ryan for a great race in Mod. truck. Good job. :thumbsup:

Many Thanks go out to everyone that helped during the course of the day. Without your help Charlie and I would be pulling our hair out to get everything done. He can afford to lose a little hair but I can't..........

The local Surge team was at the third stop in the ORL series. Both Tag and I qualified into the A-main. The competition was *fierce*. Phew! During the main, neither of us could put together a run for the win. John didn't have the right motor setup for the main and even though he drove the wheels off the car, couldn't keep up. I on the other hand had a ballistic car but after being punted into the rocks by the driver's stand early on couldn't recover. I mean, when guys are freight-training from start to finish and you're off the track for a few seconds, it's over. So, we were relegated to sixth and seventh respectively.

All in all we're thrilled to be running competetively against the Factory guys so early on. Gary, John and I have only returned into RC in the last year, so we're working hard to represent Surge well and provide you guys with the best performing cells through extensive testing and trial and error.

yeterday when i kicked it

jon, try running green spings in front on you're t4. i gave it a try yesterday and man did it help. the front end seems like it is planted much better now and it keeps the front wheels on the ground in those bumped corners. it also seems to stay a little lower off the triple

Thanks for the tip. I'll probably be testing at the track in a week or so, so I'll make sure to keep that in mind.

Tone, you missed a good day of Mini-T racing. Everyone is getting faster so the races get closer and closer. The long gas mains were fantastic. It was the most fun I have had racing in a while. My favorite classes are usually stock, they're usually very competitive. That is kind of strange that all the factory guys are running stock, though. I guess it all depends on why they're running for the team their on. At zeppelin, the "big honcho's" had to run modified at big races.
