wayneny 06-06-2004, 05:26 AM Morning anyone, it is about 5:30 and I put all my stuff in the car. It is cloudy up here but no rain. Forecast up by me says only 20 percent chance of showers. Those are pretty good numbers in my book. Hoping for another great day of racing. Will see everyone later on this morning..............WAYNE

GaryLooks Gooooood... the rain down there is coming north, but it looks like it might be a shortie by the time it reaches us... worse case scenario.... we'll drive between the raindrops.... and make the Nitro guys run in the rain....

craftmastaschiz 06-06-2004, 09:20 PM man that was a great race, i will have to say my rustler race was very funny with steve vanhorn trying to kick my car when i was driving down the straight away during the race man that was so funny
craftmastaschiz 06-06-2004, 09:23 PM hey erik did u notice that u got the losi and tqed now think if u got a losi buggy u would probably win fo sho
kybob 06-06-2004, 09:44 PM no prolly not cuz my b4 is gonna one time this year fo sho
sean cant drive 06-06-2004, 10:54 PM pretty good race, i think we all had a good time although i wish the servo in my b4 hadn't stripped since it was runnin good. the only other problem i had all day was that i had nonexistent lateral rear traction. i'm thinkin that i should jump on the proline lugnut bandwagon pretty soon.
Erik, Wow.................thats all i have to say
Rick, nice deal on the motor it really seems like its runnin well, stays pretty damn cool too
wayneny 06-06-2004, 11:43 PM Howdy to all out there in Dirtrunners land. First off I would like to post a really big Thank You to everyone who helped out today to make the day such a sucess. Secondly all I can say is WOW. The weather was superb to keep the track as nice as it was. And man the racing was awesome. The buggy and truck offroad classes were really great. The racing is really stepping up to the next level in those classes. Actually all the races were good. The Novice class is building and the drivers are showing lots of improvement. It seemed like everyone was happy to have a Hooby Shop at the track to get broken parts replaced or just to pick up some stuff that you needed anyway. The same goes for Surge batteries. People bought all the packs they brought but one.I hope it works out for both of them so that they continue to be there for us at the races. Once again Thanks to everyone who was there today. And if you could'nt be there for whatever reason you missed a fantastic day of racing..............WAYNE
nicwald 06-07-2004, 02:35 PM Sounds like it was a great day or racing...maybe one of these days I'll be able to show up and race? Who knows, it could happen....
Nick
USPatriot 06-07-2004, 05:36 PM Those surge batteries rock, i am going to get some more at the next race, i would have gotten the last one but i still have a broken quad
Mike, i just rembered you still have the anti fade, did you get it broken lose? and i need the screws when you come by, i will give you the money, my friend is picking me the parts up so it should cost about 110, and i think i might just order those stem bearings off of ebay, just to replace them anyway, they are only 12 bucks, o yeah i have to pick up a swing arm skid plate up along the way, maybe my mom can invest the money for me
craftmastaschiz 06-07-2004, 06:35 PM i hope they still have the batteries i treally need one cause my batteries r dead i have one good one left..... i think mike or tone said that the guy isnt going to have them next race but he will have the more expencive ones oh well i will pay the 50 for one and that is fo sho
craftmastaschiz 06-07-2004, 06:37 PM hey guys guess what

satrnfreak 06-07-2004, 08:38 PM hey erik did u notice that u got the losi and tqed now think if u got a losi buggy u would probably win fo sho
Ryan, another example for you.
Erik ran very well with his MF, but in the end, who won?? One good heat does not make a champion, a broken clock is right twice a day, and all that confucious stuff. Erik i think likes the handling of the MF better, and maybe it suits his driving style better, but in the end CHeese won it again. When Erik gets better at driving in traffic, im sure we will be seeing him up on the top. He has definatly progressed very well at driving, and will only keep getting better if he sticks with it.
I wish one of the T4 guys would do better than they are though, it is pretty sad that you are getting beat up by a T3 RTR.....LOL:rolleyes:

hall this is true i do like the francis better and i did bring myself from the bottom of the pack when i first crashed and then half way through the race the motor and battery dumped on me. But i think i did pretty good. I just wish the b4 would be the same.
satrnfreak 06-07-2004, 09:07 PM Oh yeah, EROK, battery still had plenty left in it, and was very bright on my discharger. Gonna cut motor probably tomorow.

kybob 06-07-2004, 09:13 PM Sounds good mike, remember how you said u could get 3300 pretty cheap, well can you still get them cheap.

fREaKi wouldn't really blame the t4 it is a good truck but no one really has it dialed in yet . i was talkin to jon williams( who also owns one and it seemed like he was having the same problem i am having which is nonexistent rear traction coming out of the corners and it also seems that the other t4's are doin the same thing as well. I am going to try running lugnuts in the rear and see if that helps and if that doesn't cover it than im goin to lighter rear springs, after that there really isn't much more i can do.
and just for you're information i was in third for like two minutes until i tried to pass someone and they turned and knocked me into a wall:drunk:
nicwald 06-08-2004, 06:08 AM he turned and knocked me into a wall:drunk:
Why do you insist on putting other drivers down, and in a public forum no less, be thankful that others don't do it to you, because if I was there I'm sure there would be reason to knock you as well.....maybe you should edit your post and take out the specifics.....just a thought
Nick
wayneny 06-08-2004, 08:06 AM Hey Losidemon27, Did they have a race at the Barn on sunday or did it get rained out? Down at Dirtrunners it looked like it was going to rain all day but it never did. The track surface was great due to all the moisture in the air and it also rained saturday night. Traction was had by all no matter what tires you ran......................WAYNE
kybob 06-08-2004, 01:31 PM Wayne is surge still gonna be selling those 3300 batteries at the next race

jdwca 06-08-2004, 08:05 PM Hey, kids. It's Jon Williams a.k.a. your friendly Surge rep. :) Long time--no post.
Hey, Nicky. Good to see your posts. We've missed you the last couple of weeks. Thank God for your buddy, Mike. You know he keeps it interesting in the pits. :p
First, to answer all of your questions regarding whether or not we'll have Surge cells at the next race: you bet! We'll have some preassembled, some loose cells. We'll still have some great deals, but unfortunately, we won't be able to blow out at $30 per pack like last week.
Since the company is growing rapidly we're going to be adding a motor aspect to Surge--most likely Surge Motorsports or something to that effect. For the next few races, we won't have motors prepared yet, but we'll offer motor rebuild (minus the magnet zapping) services including new brushes, comm truing and clean-up for $15 per motors. So, save up your pennies.
(BTW, props go to Wayne for the excellent support and advertising during the race! You rock, dude!)
Secondly, as Sean noted, us T4 guys are still getting the setups together. (I'm happy with the progress of the truck the past few weeks. First race out, qualied A-main; second race, 2nd place; third race (a fast 10 in 2nd heat), 3rd place. Not bad for never running on dirt before a month ago. Really, it seems to be a matter of finding the proper balance for rear bite and jumping flat. I anticipate that the next race, us T4 guys will be running 11s and have some seriously good racing.
Also, great racing to all the A-main guys in truck. Lotta fun. The third, fourth and fifth place guys were separated by like 2 seconds. Mike, watch out, we're coming for ya. ;-)
If you guys have any Surge questions, feel free to post them here, at our website or on another competing R/C website that shall remain nameless (Rctech.net).
Oops.

craftmastaschiz 06-08-2004, 08:08 PM hey jon i was wondering are u going to be selling any kind of batteries u will have next week and what would the price range be
craftmastaschiz 06-08-2004, 08:13 PM hey all elwectric racers that know about batteries (so cheese dont reply) is it better to store the nicad (2400) matched packs at full charge or dead
ghuber 06-08-2004, 08:30 PM Guys if you have questions about batteries, feel free to ask Jon or I.
Good racing this weekend!

satrnfreak 06-08-2004, 08:31 PM Hey Jon,
Mike H here, how did that T3 feel on your butt that last lap(4th place is good from back of the pack)??? LOL:p That was a great race, wish they could all be like that. How many times did i leapfrog you?? Again...LOL. Still thinking about a T4 just dont have the funds right now. We'll see, but then again...the T3 is still kickin arse. Do you guys have a magnet zapper?? And gaus meter? Have you tried a club stock motor and seen if it helps? Really interested in this for stock racing this winter......Glad everything worked out with your battery sales, they seemed to sell like wildfire, and everyone seemed to love them. May have to look into getting some of them.
Craig, i store all my NiCads ded, i tray them on a 0.0v tray and leave them there for 2-3 days.

Johnm glad to hear there are going to be more assembled packs, i hate sodering, and it makes things easy on me, so i have to gather a few dollars
