View Full Version : Dirt Runners Outdoor Season 2004
nicwald 06-03-2004, 05:02 PM was going back in this thread ,saw there is going to be a big race there, didnt see any dates. There web site says june 6th trophey race is this that race or is this something else.
Hey guys, havent been there in years. Was going today but the rain stopped me this morning. Hows the offroad, looks good in pictures. hows the traction, what is the common 2wd mod tire used. I might try to come up tommorow if not ill be there sat.,would like to get some track time before sun.
Most common tire is probably either step pins or ifmar pins/studs. Traction is a little tricky, its a hard, sandy surface.
The big race of the year is the Dirt Runners Challenge which is in Setember (look under race dates at www.DirtRunners.com (http://www.DirtRunners.com))
June 6th is 1 of 2 trophy races we have during the outdoor season and is just that, a regular race with trophies for top 3.
Hope to see you at the track!

No more gates, the HS is using it for parking overflow, so you can drive right up to the track.

The Revo will be able to race in any Tmaxx class, as long as the engine is left as a small block (we do not allow mid blocks or big blocks in the Tmaxx classes, and on the oval). If you want to race the REVO with a larger engine you can race it in Open Monster Truck (but we've only raced it once so far).

Well Ryan, most of the posts here are turning into nonsense. We originally startd this topic to help with set-ups and such, and now it keeps turning into stupid squabbles over insignificant stuff. I keep reading it but until i see something that interests me, my posts will be limited. Im sure TOne and the rest are feeling the same way, no matter what we say or ask, a few in here keep turning it into and arguement that carries no significance to our track. Ask questions on setups, ask for help, set up practice dates, talk about what you need at OUR track, im all for it, but im tired of the bickering.

Yeah, you should see the tmaxxes, 1/8th scales, 1/10 gas and mod 4wd's.....ton of air, a lot of fun to watch.
The 19 Turn is a good motor to run, thats what I ran in my buggy and truck, and it felt like a good power band, plenty of power and still easy to drive.

sean cant drive 06-05-2004, 08:56 AM the weather channel is saying that it will rain today and we will have a few showers tomorrow morning. if they are right we will have plenty of traction and a good race day.
ricky, if ya are reading this will ya please sell me that motor with the vantage can on it instead of the orion chrome can. now that i look at it in the picture you sent me it looks pretty crappy with the chrome can on it
John Tag 06-05-2004, 09:27 AM Gas, I got Gas!
satrnfreak 06-05-2004, 02:32 PM Might be too wet tomorrow?? Raining like a mutha here in Jefferson.

Gonna go get Buggy and truck ready....just in case..
FREAK
Tone, using ribs up front, Pro-line M3, tried Blades, they only worked when track was swept clean.
C-ya tomorrow
I just ate cheese-dogs for lunch, im sure i'll have plenty of gas tomorrow.
wayneny 06-05-2004, 03:36 PM Mike, make sure you bring that gas so that all can enjoy it. I might bring some of my own. It is raining up here in my neck of the woods too. It looks like it might rain in the morning then just be cloudy. Sort of like the first day of the season. I have my fingers crossed. See all you guys in the AM....................... and gals too...................WAYNE
John Tag 06-05-2004, 04:19 PM Am showers are ok up there, will the track dry enough to race? Well keep the weather posted so i know about the 2 hour drive up. PS: I have no generator does anyone have room for 1 more plug? ;)
wayneny 06-05-2004, 05:12 PM John Tag, as long as it isn't a downpour we won't have any problem. The oval drains right away because of the amount of banking. On the offroad track we get some puddles but we are going to bring some pumps to get rid of the majority of water then sweep the rest off with brooms. Check our website in the AM before you leave to come up.It usually gets posted on Dirtrunners.com by about 7:00am. As long as it's not raining real hard we will race. As far as electric power goes, we should have no problem hooking you up with someone who has a genny. See you in the AM...........WAYNE
John Tag 06-05-2004, 05:22 PM

wayneny 06-05-2004, 10:48 PM John Tag, we have been getting done at about 7:30. The time changes with the amount of entries. Hopefully we don't run out of daylight before we finish the mains. Your classes may be early in the round and you can leave after your heat. We give the trophies out after each main to keep the time as early as possible. If you come in first, second or third that is......................WAYNE
wayneny 06-05-2004, 10:53 PM Craig, Cruzin will be there until at least 5:00 pm. There should'nt be any problem with you getting your stuff.I'm glad you took advantage of calling him to make sure he brings what you need. I wrote down your classes and frequencies and I will make sure I put you in the computer.......................WAYNE
