Tone - No problems racing with you guy...I appreciate you waiting after we touched. That's the same rule Kevin and I have when we race in the same race. If one of us hacks the other making a pass, he waits til the other guy catches up. It's made us better drivers (I said better - not good!). You may want to go just a little less hot on your motor - I guarantee even though you will go slower on the straights, you will make faster laps.

And Craig - it was a pleasure racing against you in the truck B also. You drove smart and clean, you got off the gas a little more and drove the truck, and I think as a result you probably made more laps in that race than u usually do. Good job! Remember what worked for u in the race and do it again!

Gthats one of the options i am considering... i am runnin a 14x2 team paradigim based on the epic binary... i think i might be able to gear it a little different... right now, its 20/87, i am thinkin about doin a 19/87, or a 18/87... plus i think i need to put a little more front camber on the truck, i wasnt getting as much turning as i would have liked. i also gotta be less violent around the turns, i seem to want to fishtail the rear-end around the track.... a little finesse would definately help... i am gonna try the gearing tho @ 18/87... for sure... i might take the 15x2 out of my buggy, and use it in the truck, and put the 14x2 in the buggy (but dont quote me on that... the buggy is havin issues)

130 entries???? Holy cripies!!! I hope we dont outgrow ourselves. I would have to thank Wayne and Charlie for getting everything off without a hitch. SUPERB JOB GUYS! Hey Nic, where's the results??? SLACKER...LOL. TOne, once again, good job today, seems as though yu are getting the hang of it, now just a little more throttle control, and you'll be there. Ryan...your T4 jumps perfect(maybe its just you?? J/K). What the hell is up with my T3??? It was great first race, and then...poopies??? I dont get it? Maybe time for a Losi???

FreAk
it jumps good now, after the race i moved the battery back and it made all the difference in the world

Please Mike say it aint so you must stay with the t3 its indestructable. None of our diffs have blown in the middle of a race either like cheeses losi did.

hey tone, cheese, nipple, erk, and ryan, i drove my car with the vantage today, i set up my cyclone again, and it is so much faster than last time. I wish people ran 4wd at dirtrunners so i dont' have to make the hour trip to ny every weekend. I think i am gonna race my dads t3 or francis in novice oval next sunday (i have never ran oval before) just to get some track time.
Ricky, if your gonna run a truck why not just run it in the offroad class instead of wasting your time in novice?

Nick and I have been running Losis forever and have never had a diff blow. It just depends on how well it was built and adjusted.

The LOSI thing was a joke, u guys should know that. Im just a loyal ASSociated guy. Nuttin against Losi(being they win at our track every stinkin week). But i kinda did like Ryan's T4. Nope not gonna happen.....T3 forever(or at least until i start really loosing with it).

Tone, how long have i been telling ya to step down the motor sitiation?? Or at least back out the slipper. You are gonna be in an A-main if i gotta drag you up there every night to practice!!!!!!

Mike, i'd really have to look into that powerroll thing. Not sure but maybe a 300ex Cylinder will fit on your block?? Gotta check into that....

Later all...

Tone, Chris and I both have the team Orion big block motor. We are both geared the same at 15/58. I really dont know why I was faster in the main considering he was faster in both heats. It amazed me, but I was ok with it. I am having a blast on the oval with it. As you can see by the entry numbers twice as many want to run Mini-T oval as offroad. That also surprises me. I ran step pins in the rear and stock rears up front and never had a problem with it all day. It did'nt matter whether the track was watered or not. Also had a blast with Maxx on the oval. I just couldnt get by the Emaxx cleanly so I kept tagging the wall. His Emaxx was pretty fast too. It was a great race day all around. Will talk more later. WAYNE

... i do have a question.... what are the OFFROAD motor restrictions? i just wanna run the same dang motor in both classes....(thats right.. 5 classes next week)
i actually might let my bro run the tmaxx... i gotta get him up to the track this week to practice... this coming up race might be the return of the dremeled rustler... gotta talk to Numnutts.... he did pretty well in the buggy class (unlike myself)...

-Tone
Tone, the rules are as such:

Offroad Tmaxx, small block engines only (so that means no 21's, including mid-blocks, no .21 mid blocks)

Open Monster Truck, as the title suggests anything goes for engines

Tmaxx Oval, Small block motors only, no mid block .21, or .21 or larger of any type.

Hey everyone! That was a great race day. Everything went so smoothly and from what I saw, everyone seemed to be running very well. Some of those tripples were awsome. I saw one and thought it was cool then everyone kept jumping it better! It was just an awesome day! I cant wait to race!

and some of those crashes were awesome!
Yeah, my Tmaxx is about 6 inches shorter after some of them....I think I got it squared away by the main though....

Ok, thnx for the results Nic. POINT SERIES would be awesome, would make you have to finish most of the races(hint hint).

Buggy was sure a close race, i was all friggin happy, i ran two 21 second laps. Then reality hit, THAT DAMN CIALLELLA KID RAN A 20!!!!! I hate you, I HATE U!!!! LOL

The 15 turn really paid off in the main, there was more traction then than in the qualifiers.....i think...

Oh well....i guess i didnt do as bad as i thought with the truck, i ran some 23's, but the 30's killed me!!!! Always next week......OMG i just saw Craig ran a 24 with his truck!!! Keep that up and we may have another A-mainer...

Twister...not sure Erik.... See if you can locate cutters for it, if not its worthless...

check on ebay for a bit. get a hudy lathe. Its better to spend more now, than a little now and have to get a new one down the road.

Does anyone know if a twister mod lathe is a good comm lathe?
They are excellent lathes. Back in the day they were the Mercedes of comm lathes. I've had one since the early 90's. Very high quality.

Where do you get bits for them gary?
You just need to determine what direction the arm turns in relation to the bit, there are only 2 types, right hand and left hand bits, all lathes I've seen use the same size bit
