Hey does anyone have any of the pictures saved from Shawns older hobby world site? Namely the one of me and Dave P.(Daves squared) with our cars from earlier this year? I lost them a couple of months ago when my puter took a dump.Butts(tm)- I used to have it. I managed to copy a few pics off of his old site before it disappeared. Some of those pics ended up being on our new site-some did not. I'll have to look on our 2 computers at work & see if they may be on any of those.

Eugene, When you were running your brushless setup in the oval car did you ever time how long it would run in practice? Chris Collinsworth won the 100 lap enduro here in Macon last year in 12 minutes and then proceeded to run another 20 or so laps before expiring.

A big factor is how fussy the baby is....and if he/she? is anything like his/her father, then he is in some deep doodoo :D J/K

Seriously though...the first 3-4 weeks can be hectic. Close family members like mothers and mother in laws that like to help out are great.

...and AGAIN I agree with Ray!! lol
I was lucky in that mine slept the entire night through every night after the first. But from being born at 3 in the morning and not going to sleep myself until sometime 2 days after that...well, I slept every chance I could for about a week trying to catch up lol.

Need a little help guys, when running 19t with a D5 motor @ 36deg and the tires are cut down to 2.2" about what gear ratio should I be running in JAX? Here we run caps and they are around 2.48" and we run in the neighborhood of 2.6:1 Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also what is the runline and track record in 19t? Has anyone tried the short track taurus down there yet? Is 3 pinks and a purple right front a good place to start on tires?

Stoney & Pilgrim-I'll have to check on the Sat deal. (I would think they would be open??)
Echeconnee- Last time I or anybody's checked, the HW runline is approx 360-366' (somebody please correct if I'm wrong or heard anything different). 3 Pinks w/Purple RF is what I think the majority is running. I've ran 4 Pinks in my Pro-Spec car & tire wear or handling couldn't be much better. I do know that one of the guys is running a 100/43-45,and he's currently in the lead in our points thing. Dave P posted his 36-lap setup for his L4 awhile back-I'll see if I could dig it up.

gear wise I run from a 38-43 depending on tire size. start with a 40/100 with that tire or around a 2.5 ratio. 3 pinks and a purple is what just about all the fast guys are running. as far as the bodies go the Protoform HD monte carlo is the way to go.

[QUOTE=Echeconnee]Also what is the runline and track record in 19t? Has anyone tried the short track taurus down there yet? Is 3 pinks and a purple right [QUOTE]

Clifford, Allthough the track dimensions have changed a liitle bit in it's almost twenty year existance it used to measure out at 325' around the bottom(when it was dirt it had an actual inside wall) and 410' around the outside for a middle line of 367.5'. No one runs that exact middle line and the pvc is now set in about two feet wider than the old lane width so who knows? Maybe 350' is more like it but when figuring out mph I always use the 367.5' measurement as it makes for a faster mph.

I dont know of anyone using the short track Taurus allthough Phil Owen has them but has'nt run Jax in months.?

Three pinks and a purple will get you in the ballpark if not hit a homerun. I had to go a little firmer(magenta)on the rear to free up my car. Some guys were experimenting with a purple rr and a pink or magenta lr. With the speeds 19t cars are generating if you try to run anything softer than a purple rf it'll be just about a one run tire. The last time you guys were down here I ran three pinks and a red rf on my L4. As a matter of fact those same tires are still on it and last time I ran it I turned some 6.6's. That aint track record times but it sure aint slow either. Weeeeeeeeeee!

The official track record in 19t By Bear Yarbrough is 36 4:00.24 . I was there and seen it wit me own two eyes.
