Shumacher 99 12-18-2004, 11:52 PM sorry for forgetting the camera guys...first time probly not the last..lol irvan36mm 12-19-2004, 12:03 AM sorry for forgetting the camera guys...first time probly not the last..lolChris- No biggie! BTW,if ya wanna see something funny,go over to "General Oval Discussion" & look up the topic "Oval Setup Sheet". Can you figure out which website he found (and lost) the link to the sheet on??????;) I'll give you all a hint: I think our site is getting read by more racers from all over the country than we actually know. And I thought that it was gonna be just a "local secret/legend"! lol -George Poppa Ray 12-19-2004, 12:17 AM I wanna say thanks to all the volunteer turn marshals, a day like today is the reasion I race. I managed to run in three out of four classes, chasing my own tail all day, finished well and had a friggin blast. See y'all next year, be safe, have a happy xmas and a merry new year. David Butts 12-19-2004, 09:46 AM Hey George"the webmaster"Ramos, I have an idea, No wait, Dont just skip over this yet.??? When Chris or whoever does'nt forget their camera why not try to take the car pics for the site from track level with lets say a three quarter left front view? The cars look much more realistic and it could be done on the front straight for a little bit of track background in the shot too. Similar to this shot but maybe not as close since that takes a real good camera. What'ya say about that hmmmm? http://www.mcallisterracing.com/racing/img2.gif Poppa Ray 12-19-2004, 11:30 AM Hey George I have a pic of the losi I can send you for the winners circle where do you want me to send it? rcovalracer 12-19-2004, 11:43 AM Hey George"the webmaster"Ramos, I have an idea, No wait, Dont just skip over this yet.??? It was not intentional my friend. Most of the guys will tell you that I am pretty good about letting a faster car go by.....a couple of times that I gave you a lane it seemed like your car wanted two. That last time were I spun out, I saw you coming up and I tried to go a bit too wide... got up in to the paint and that was all she wrote. Travis other wise I had a good time racing with you guys today. No problem man... I was'nt having a very good day anyway. SEEYA next time. I knew that it was'nt intentional And it was good to see everyone again... and YES you will be seeing me in 05 David Butts 12-19-2004, 12:05 PM Good idea !!!! And it is possible... LOL I had fun racing yesterday...plus the touring class man I was so loose in the main it looked like I had a drifting car....hmm maybe the next class at HW rcovalracer 12-19-2004, 05:47 PM David this was a pretty sweet lookin ride,if only we had rear view mirrors, Notice the drivers window net, (This is a edited photo) http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid150/p7e9adcbb488882839d6b6d635daa01d1/f5dae38d.jpg David Butts 12-19-2004, 07:51 PM David this was a pretty sweet lookin ride,if only we had rear view mirrors, Notice the drivers window net, (This is a edited photo) http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid150/p7e9adcbb488882839d6b6d635daa01d1/f5dae38d.jpg I still have that body too. I painted it last february to use at the snowbirds and then I used it for several months at HW and it made a two trips to Branford and a Focars race in Orlando before finally being retired in september. How's that for getting your money's worth out of a body? Use'em till they're used up is my motto. Poppa Ray 12-19-2004, 09:43 PM Sorry but it's too hard to resist...Chris taking pics from ground level...isn't he there already? LOL Actually I think he could need a small step stool to get that, uhm, perspective! Shumacher 99 12-19-2004, 10:59 PM I'm like a foot taller than Eugene so he needs to be quite...lol travymoto1 12-20-2004, 07:24 AM yes butt(tm) , that low center of gravity did help Chris get 33 laps in stock. BTW great run Chris your car looked DIALED!!!!!! Shumacher 99 12-20-2004, 07:28 AM yes butt(tm) , that low center of gravity did help Chris get 33 laps in stock. BTW great run Chris your car looked DIALED!!!!!! Thanks Travis!! If it wasn't for the 2 8.0 laps avoiding wrecks The record may have fallen. Other than the 8.0's it ran nothing higher than a 7.5 ..What was really impressive to me was the last lap was a 7.4 and I ran 5 7.1's in the first 8 laps. Oh well I got it hooked up and I'm happy. too bad I lost a charger and power supply in the process.. irvan36mm 12-20-2004, 08:05 AM About the pic idea-that would be a good idea! I would like to thank Chris for all of his pic contris to the site. (OK,he forgot the camera last Sat,but he's still a great guy!) And thanks to all of you guys for sending your pics, too. It also kills me that other racers from across the country is checking out the site-it's great! It's because of you guys and your input that these other people are visiting the site. And maybe, one of these people might pop-in & race with us on their way to Disney or the 'Birds next year-who knows! lol The winners car pics was something that was done on Kevin's R/C site for the Branford race winners & I "kinda borrowed" the idea. I think Steve Short said it best before, that it means a lot to the winning racers to see their sleds on the 'Net-especially if Dad's checking it out every week from across the US to see if any of his kids/grandkids won that week. It's the same thing with track records too, especially when they're changing every week. It gives the other racers (especially those wanting to visit from out-of-town) a sort of "measuring stick" to see what they need to do to their cars to be competitive for the next race. Hey,if ya can't win,at least shoot for your personal best times. Sometimes, that's better than winning one of these things! lol -George xpss 12-20-2004, 08:05 AM congrats sissy.im proud of ya.i guess since i wasnt there you had no pressure. can i have your autograph?????????????????????????? sissy! I guess the 1.9Mb file size and the 10 min upload should have tipped me off but I don't win often so I might as well make the most of it while I can. :jest: The best thing is that pic will be up till 1/8/05. DEI.2 12-20-2004, 06:51 PM What tires are illegal in spec? Can you run the same tires in spec as you do in stock? stoneman 12-20-2004, 07:01 PM What tires are illegal in spec? Can you run the same tires in spec as you do in stock? There is no tire rule in spec. you can run whatever your heart desires. The only rule is (George confirm) Spec battery, sepec motor with spec brushes...That's it!! DEI.2 12-20-2004, 07:09 PM yes any tire combo. are you thinking of runing spec next season ? I don't know, it was something I was just tossing around. I have an extra chassis and I'm always up for racing as much as I can! irvan36mm 12-21-2004, 12:51 AM There is no tire rule in spec. you can run whatever your heart desires. The only rule is (George confirm) Spec battery, sepec motor with spec brushes...That's it!!Yep! The only rules for HW Pro-Spec are: must use spec motor (duh!) spec "S" brushes w/black or silver brush springs can use any gear ratio/combo spec 6-cell pack or any 6-cell pack not exceeding 1600 mAh can use any connector on battery/speedo. No hardwiring. any foam tire allowed-no caps! any oval/pan chassis any NASCAR stock car or Nastruck body. Wings optional, but recommended for running at HW-type speeds. Wings cannot be used on a Nastruck body. can cut-out the rear of body In other words, take your 4-cell stock car (for example),remove the stock motor, drop in a Spec motor w/"S" brushes, strap a 6-cell Spec pack & put the body back on-instant Pro-Spec car! Hope to see you in Pro-Spec soon! -George Shumacher 99 12-21-2004, 07:28 AM Jeremy check your e mail Slacker!!!! Shumacher 99 12-21-2004, 08:29 AM Well my brother had enough of the hyperslide. Ray RAy .. I saw where you ran some 7.3's at the start of your run .. Val said you guys had a good battle all day. When you get two cars close like that and can swap positions everyother lap it's really fun. davepull 12-21-2004, 09:59 AM Well my brother had enough of the hyperslide. What batteries would you suggest and where to get them? Thanks for the help George irvan36mm 12-21-2004, 03:33 PM Just wanted to make sure about motor connections. What batteries would you suggest and where to get them? Thanks for the help GeorgeSteve- If you can find the 1600 Spec 6-cell packs, get those. I haven't seen any at HW for awhile, but I know Dan has a couple. Maybe Jeremy might have some or can get some as well. (I'm still using 1600 Spec packs from almost 2 yrs ago!) Otherwise, you can use any 6-cell stick pack as long as it isn't rated over 1600 mAh. A 1500 pack from HW should do ya just fine. Personally,I wouldn't mind using 2000-3300 mAh unmatched "sport" stick packs, but that could be another can-'o-worms waiting to be opened. Anybody wanna dare take a vote for next series?? 2 of those sticks may last you the whole night! lol Poppa Ray 12-21-2004, 04:29 PM Your stock car looked good sat. Ray RAy .. Thanks dude, I like racing Val our cars seem to be very close to each other so when we are running together I definitely need to step it up a notch. If I remember right the only two times I've run 32 laps is when I was trying to pass Val and I definitely have to stick to "THE" line or I'm a gonner! I guess I just like the pressure. The fastest laps I ever ran in touring I was trying not to let Bear lap me! Echeconnee 12-21-2004, 06:18 PM Chris, I got your PM, it's cool we will be down on the 8th to race and you can pick it up then if you still want it. davepull 12-21-2004, 07:28 PM I have Been alittle busy with Christmas coming and work. but last Saturday was a blast. it was a fun race day and just like Ralph Earnhardt said "the winner isn't the one with the fastest car, just the one who refuses to lose!!!!!" I would like to give Troy Meridath the credit he deserves. after only a few months back he has his L4 running really strong. great job man keep it up!!!!!! vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2013, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
