i dont want to tell somebody they cant race in a particular class.

travis in not mad at you, most people take pride in track records
i for one judge all my runs off track records.i first want to beat everybody out there but 2nd i want to beat or be at the record.
You want have to worry about the track record much longer... I think it needs to come back to GA.

Can't wait to rub fenders with you guys....

we should start a 19t sportsman class go over 34 or 35 laps more than once in a series and you get penalized a lap or somthing. we probably won't have a truck class next season so that will free up more time. I plan on running 19t spec and touring next season. what do ya think ?

I will say this much at one time or another we all stay on the track when we should not have been out there but no one has to be close to a track record to be in a class thats B.S.. I for one think that you have alot of guys out there that want to have a good time racing and I feel that if you to don't then don't come. It does not happen often that we have a very bad race in 19t but we did now get over it. I was taken out of second place in 3 or 4 laps of the race but so what I have next week to try agian. I am like the rest of you I would love to finsh first but I would rather race with my racing family and have a good time. If we are going to get so made at each other about a local race how are we going to act when we host a big race ???????????????
Thanks,
John Hart
Amen John! It sounds like everyone thinks we should have 4 car mains so they can just keep racing against the same people every week, HOW BORING! Yeah it would be nice if no one ever hit me and I never hit anyone, but that is racing! Racing is trying to gain more ground than anyone else. And futher more I am not ashamed of the way I drove in the 19 turn race wether others think so or not. I don't remember taking anybody out and if I did I apologize, but I remember cars taking me out by accident. I would hate to think other cars were doing it on purpose, and I refuse to think like that! I come to the track to have fun with my son, No.1, this will only last for so long before he moves on to better things. No.2 I come to the track to have fun with other people with the same passion. I've been racing in one form or another for 32 years and I still love racing. I have fun when I come to the track and even though i'm older than most of the drivers I do look up to a few drivers who stand out, either for their racing ability or just for their sense of fair play. I hope I never lose my lust for racing because that would be sad. Just my two cents worth.

I'll just leave it the way it is. besides you would have to walk AALLLLLLLL the way across the track to set your car down instead of conveniently right there by the stairs. ohhh I know lets turn them facing the other way do 2 donuts then take off...ohoohohoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!! I just want to race I don't care where we line up I just think starting them stagger is the way to go.

Sunday,I decided to get back into the 19t class next series, after being out of it for so long. So I stock up and buy a new 4-cell 3300 pack, got a new Bulit 19t ARCOR motor off of Pilgrim, asked to see what the rest of the HW 19t nation was running setup-wise on HobbyTalk and then I read that "if I'm not a winner (I have won a few Spec races!) or a record holder (held track record in Spec a few series ago) in Spec or Stock,I shouldn't get into 19t",or something like that? (I know that's not what everybody's trying to say,but it LOOKS that way to anybody else!) Well,s%#,if that's the criteria to race in 19t these days, then I could have wasted that $$ to get tires,Spec packs or motors! Anybody wanna buy a new, unraced, already built & cycled once B & T 4-cell pack & Bulit ARCOR 19t motor?

Running for records is cool, but no thanks guys. I'll stay in Spec or go Stock next series because I just remembered why I got out of 19t & went Spec a few years ago=To have fun & win a couple of races! Might even head up a lobby for a 19t Sportsman class next series!

Load the heats you say. Some of you have been whinning for 2 days about the money you had to spend to fix your cars. Do you really think that's going to help? I personally would like to race a little and not have to rebuild my car after every run. 10 car qualifiers don't make you better practice does!
As for the start. Move the bridge closes to turn four and start right after the bridge. It's alot easier seeing your car in turn one than turn four. We started there for many years and did not have half the trouble there is now.
Track records are for bragging rights. If you get it you get it. Pays the same as last place!!!

Hey George come race Stock with us. restricter plate racing is fun....The guy's in stock are so layed back we communicate with one another on the stand we laugh have fun and congradulate the winner .. I love that class. Have a great time running in it. Just wish it was a little faster and the Monsters weren't so picky on the gear. But you take the good with the bad. Hurricane Racing will have a stock car set to hit the track upon his return..... Plus I plan on running 33 laps this week and next week I'm going to shatter the record ( 6 cell ) oh damn I told on myself!lol BEAR YOU WANT ANOTHER WHOOPIN IN STOCK.....

We run a single car qual. for 3 laps, this places you in order for the heats,so the guys that ran good times in single car qual. will be up front, and the slower ones in the back of the field. But, as George said it takes time, proably a extra 30-40 min. and I myself would not like to leave at 2 a.m and head home.

One thing I see at HW when I go everyone, trys to break the track record.
And with that in mind everyone wants to get the fastest laps including lap one,so with 10 people wanting the track record then there will always be 10 cars shooting into turn 1 wide open and noone wants to give room because they are going to break the track record (so they are thinking)and all of a sudden you have 5+ cars in turn 1 sitting there spun out.IMO everyone is trying to cut the first lap time down to get the record and at the starts everyone wants the inside lane, the fastest way around.I wasn't there but I could take a guess(the big one)it happened on the inside of turn 1 on the first lap..

Telling someone they are not allowed to run in a class because they are slower than the rest of the cars is ludacris..
Just as well tell them to pack up their stuff and go home !!!! (stupid)
And this is from the "Race Director" ... hmmmmm

I have ran countless races with slow cars, cars bouncing down the walls through the whole race(example, this past Sunday,Lee knows),but I have never wanted them to go to another class.
How will they learn if they don't run it?
How will they know, if you fast guys don't help out?
This has been said,a few times. Guys/gals if you plan on running in a new class, such as 19T, PRACTICE. If you plan to run Legends,PRACTICE.

Well if everone thinks that the win or t.r. is important to me or guys like the Shorts than you are wrong. I will use the new system for the rest of this series and after that I will see if H.W. will buy my old system so ya'll can still race but I have had enough of this bull shit. I have been racing for a long time but I am tired of the crying, life is tough get over it. I will still race at other places but I am tired of blaming other racer for bad drivers when you have greedy driver allways mad because some one cost them the t.r. so what. I am not drecting my chose to slow down my racing toward anyone but if I want drama i'll watch TBS or get back in the towing stuff. I go to race to have fun and to race with other guys that want to have fun. If you are not having fun than you are taking it to serious and I gut would like to have a good time so if I am not wellcome to run the class I want then I will race somewhere eles. Thanks to the guys that made it fun. Once agian I am not pointing my finger at anyone but I have just had enough of the b.s.

If we can make racing at any track better or more organized why not try. If talking about changing the place were we start is bitching then I'm sorry . it was just a suggestion to make the starts a little easier and spaced out. That is the only thing I brought up (that I was not jokikng about). And still feel like it would make it much better. I like racing with John I usually pit with him he has always been nice and willing to help when ever I needed it. I hate that it has come to him not wanting to race with us anymore. It's bad when we can't try to discuss something with out everyone getting pissed off at one another  .

all right this is out of hand first no where did either Bear or I say that people shouldn't be running in certain classes. What i was saying is you should use the track record as a gauge of how you are running in the class you are in and use as a that comparision.

now I am a competitor and I want to win every race I enter and I always want to be faster each time I hit the track. others just want to have fun. that is fine with me. like I said I have no problem with that if your happy running 34 and 35 laps in 19t cool. What I have a problem with is people driving JACKED UP cars and wrecking people lap after lap and not having the courtesy to pull the car and fix it.

Chris brought up a good point about the grid and moving it to the backstretch but Bear made a better point about the 3rd turn bump. Ernie mention keeping where it is just stretching it out. Bingo that is the best Idea!!!!

Now John H if changing the grid and having people pull extremely ill handling cars is BS then I don't know what to tell yah. let me say this alot of times with the net people type a message trying to say something then other people read it and get something totally different. IE Bears post a few pages back and Kevins reply. the moral of this is the net is a wonderful tool to help us solve issues at the track. but when things get taken out of context this become a CF. I think if people take alittle more time to post messages more clearly and if we have questions about there post then we should ask Hey Davepull, Bear Chris John what do you mean by that? We'll be better off.

i have a question for everybody,,,with a lot of people not being there this week should it be a points race????????????????????????just a poll dont grip at me.Bear- I agree w/you about everything blown out of proportion. After reading & re-reading the last few posts several hundred times,I've come to a personal conclusion that everything said about the aforementioned topic was based on personal opinions. Everybody's got one, just like a certain, unmentionable body part! lol Everybody has a "personal agenda" for winning any race, whether for a track record or just to win a race. (BTW,I'm re-reconsidering racing 19t next series! lol)
Another bad thing is that John is considering (again) to slow down his R/C racing because of something like this. It seems that a heated issue like this comes up around every Christmas for the last 2 years. (remember last Christmas?) Maybe we should celebrate "Festivus",instead of Christmas at HW every December! lol (Anybody that has watched "Seinfeld" knows about "Festivus")
As for a points race this Sat,I vote for "doesn't matter to me". This will probably be the last HW race for this year before the Christmas break (2 weeks),so I'm really gonna vote "Let's just get out, have fun & RACE!!!!"
