DEI.2 12-09-2004, 05:48 PM excuses , excuses....... 36 laps with one eye closed sissy .I know I'm not at your level yet...but I'm getting bigger in your rear view mirror..heheheheheheh
Hey Bear, I think the only thing getting bigger in your rear view mirror is Chris's head. J/K
davepull 12-09-2004, 05:50 PM I think Chris has a little man complex!!!!!!!!!
Echeconnee 12-09-2004, 07:02 PM 19t is starting to sound like big fun, I need to get down there and get dialed in so I can run at least 34 laps, I think that would be considered a personal best, lol. Going from caps to foams is like going from breathing air to breathing under water, it ain't easy. I found out real quick in the parking lot down @ Race Rock that my scuba gear sucked!
Echeconnee 12-09-2004, 07:05 PM Butts (tm) e mail me a phone # where I can reach you please. GTOCK1000@aol.com

davepull 12-09-2004, 07:47 PM hey Butts can a get that 9X2 TI back????
hey you guys know whats missing from georges website is all the track records.i figured umpa would have said something since thats his only clam to fame is a slow track record in truck.
Shumacher 99 12-09-2004, 08:03 PM hey you guys know whats missing from georges website is all the track records.i figured umpa would have said something since thats his only clam to fame is a slow track record in truck.
First one who smelt it delt it!!!! :( the 35 407 can be beat but the 6.5 lap record won't be broken any time soon.
David Butts 12-09-2004, 08:09 PM hey Butts can a get that 9X2 TI back????
It's right where it always is. You cant run it in stock though. Nope! Not 19t either. Hmm now that there is personal transponder technology in use at the big track do I sense some impromptu speed runs in the future? Now we're talking speed!
Echeconnee 12-09-2004, 08:15 PM oh yea! Nitro Baby! 5 second laps!!!
David Butts 12-10-2004, 05:09 AM This is just a thought butt(tm)a big one at that.
Anyone interested in running on a really big track? I mean really really big, Hmm? How does 660' a lap sound to ya? Yep thats an 1/8th mile to all you measurement freaks out there and it's almost twice the size of what we race on now. It's come to my attention that there is an 1/8th mile asphalt track within an hours drive of us that may be available for a special race or event. I'm not talking racing there on an regular schedule I'm talking about a special or one time deal.
In the next few weeks I may contact the owner(s)and see if they'd be interested. There are no walls inside or out so safety at the speeds the cars would carry would be a concern and there is no drivers stand but temporary platforms are used in parking lot races all the time. Plus the track has some banking so visibility in the corners would be pretty good. I dont know if the track is smooth enough or has any traction but if the owners are condusive to the idea maybe a small group of us could do a test run one saturday or sunday. Theres lights too. Did I mention that?
Shumacher 99 12-10-2004, 07:22 AM Sounds cool Butts let us know... Where did you say it was???
Shumacher 99 12-10-2004, 07:33 AM Dave P. I have your manual printed out . I'll bring it by later.
Shumacher 99 12-10-2004, 08:26 AM Glad we race tomorrow ....... nasty outside. Lets take a pole. If you move your batteries foward the L4 manual says you will get more steering. The Black book says you get more steering when you run them to the back. Who's right????
travymoto1 12-10-2004, 08:58 AM I personally think that at HW moving them forward gives you more traction. When coming out of turn 4, where there are some bumps, if the weight is towards the rear....the car has more of a tendancy to spin out when. Just my 2 cents.
parrott88 12-10-2004, 03:05 PM Batteries forward = more rear traction
parrott88 12-10-2004, 03:07 PM You guys racing Sat.
parrott88 12-10-2004, 03:09 PM What"s up bear....
travymoto1 12-10-2004, 03:11 PM You guys racing Sat.
Yes indeed. A few guys are going down to Stricklands, but Dave P, Troy M., and myself will definately be there.
parrott88 12-10-2004, 03:17 PM Hey... I hear a Fla. boy has the track record.
I hear that Bear has been putting down some pretty stout numbers
Man.... Can't wait to get back

davepull 12-10-2004, 06:33 PM i'll be there but might have to leave before the main
David Butts 12-10-2004, 07:21 PM wut up jerry?ill be at hw tommorrow so come on down. bring a table theres plenty of room under my ez up.

DEI.2 12-10-2004, 08:56 PM can I put a 9x2 in my t3 and run it in breakout?

How 'bout 4-cell 19-turn or open mod. Just change your gearing & cross your fingers on making runtime! lol BTW,we used to run Spec on the small oval w/6 cell spec packs & the junky-a** Trinity Spec-10's or TRC Spec cars. What a blast!!

Ernie B 12-10-2004, 11:32 PM Butts where is this track your talking about? Is it off beaver st. by any chance?
David Butts 12-11-2004, 05:06 PM Butts where is this track your talking about? Is it off beaver st. by any chance?
Ernie, I know the one you're talking about. I think I went out there a week or two after you and Tuffy did way back in 91 or 92. That one is concrete and is probably overgrown by now if it's even still there. The one i'm talking about is asphalt and up until recently was used for go karts.
DEI.2 12-11-2004, 06:44 PM I think i'm just starting to warm up.
rcgen 12-11-2004, 07:31 PM OK what's the details from today's race....some of us who had to work would like to know... :p I'll be there for the next race...my first day race since we change to the winter schedule

DEI.2 12-11-2004, 08:37 PM Dave B, and Eugene, It was a good day of racing. We were out by 6:00 oclock. Bear cleaned Chris's clock in stock and I showed my son who has the testosterone in 19 turn truck. Hee hee hee, and I didn't finish last in 19 turn oval with my new car.
Shumacher 99 12-11-2004, 08:55 PM Bear ran good.( 33 :06) . I'm still stuck in the 32's but I will work it out soon. Congrats to Bear he backed up the smack and ran a good race. I hope he will continue to run stock when he can. I can't get better waxing Steve S. A$$ everyweek....lol

I know a few people that I wouldn't use there set up. I would give you mine but it's a L4 and you have a KGB the only thing I can say is green RF red LF spring gold sides springs and run RC4Less 3 pinks and purple RF. use Jack the gripper 1/2 hour prior to race then wipe off qualifier before.
David Butts 12-12-2004, 10:07 AM Dave P's up before the sun is straight up in the sky? Say it aint so.
davepull 12-12-2004, 10:28 AM now onto bigger this there is only two words to describe the main in 19t car. F@&^!NG SAVAGES. The 7 other drivers should be assamed. all I can say is Ernie barely survied the battle he lead most of the race and yes was taken out while leading!!! SAVAGES HACKERS what ever you want to call it but it is NOT COOL. now I have a a little advice to offer to some of you. If you drive off into turn one and the car spins out PULL IT it isn't going to fix it's selve!!!!!!!!!!! put 2 rounds in the RR and 2 rounds out of LR now if you running fine and have a wreck and the cars starts doing crazy things like spinning out or pushing up into the wall PULL IT THE CAR IS BROKEN.
POINT BEING IS THAT HACK FEST COST BE ABOUT 45 BUCKS BECAUSE PEOPLE COULD USE THERE F#@!$%G HEADS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
davepull 12-12-2004, 10:29 AM Dave P's up before the sun is straight up in the sky? Say it aint so. YAH and I went out to the crazy horse last night!!!!!
davepull 12-12-2004, 10:53 AM Hey George I did TQ Yesterday with a 36 4:01.10
Shumacher 99 12-12-2004, 11:31 AM People driving around with broke cars is nothing new. Most of the time it cost someone else alota money. It sux but unless they are told to pull it they won't. But the're are some of us who would rather pull there car than break it. There was nothing wrong with my car when I totaled Butt's L4 that day. I lost sight of my car from the drivers stand and he set it down in a bad spot. But I felt so bad for what happen because Butts now could'nt race and the money he had to spend to fix it. So if my car is so off I will pull it because I don't want that guilt feeling again. But we also made up rules to not walk in front of the drivers stand so the Butts incident wouldn't happen again and we saw how well that's going ( not at all) LATER!!!!
