Can you run the epic binary2 pro stock motor in the stock oval class??

George, the MD Dodge and the HD Monte both have asymetrical lines.

My mounting tips: cut the body out at the molded trim line....then while the body is on a flat table....use a finepoint sharpy to run a line around the bottom edge of the body aprox 1/8 - 1/4 inch off of the table to get an even higher trim line. Then cut the body at that line to get a slammed height.

Mount the body and adjust your body post so that the lower edge of the body is even with the chassis(the built in asymetry will be noticeable). To finish it off...while the body is mounted, push the rear pod down to compress the center shock and use the sharpie again to run a small trim line along both rear quater panels(aprox from the front of the rear tire to the rear of the body). Trim at the lines (this will give your the body clearance needed when the suspension is compressed) Wheeew...hope that made sence lol

I'm glad I'm not in charge of writting intruction manuals :lol:Travis- I've noticed the asymmetrical lines. I've even got a short list of what I found different compared to the "old" Dodge! lol Did ya notice that the windshield & roof rails were skewed??
I've already got my Dodge painted & mounted. It should be ready for the track this Saturday. The only "pain" I had was to shorten the Left side body mounts & getting the front to "sit" right on the chassis by trimming the bumper foam & shimming/trimming the front body posts,since the nose is way lower than the old Dodge. I think I got it now! lol

I've got mine cut out, but when I tried to pre-mount it....I found that my front posts were too tall. I use the trinity ss adjustable mounts and th 2" front post will not work. I ordered some 1-1.5" trinity posts and should be good to go once I get those. I'm itch'n to get some paint on it.

The body isn't necesarily lower, but it gets mounted much further back on the chassis. Can't wait to try it at HW :eek:

well i bought a binary motor before i decided to wait untill after christmas to race so maybe ill send it back and get a horsepower..or even step it up a notch and get a putumn motor for alittle more money

yah Kat seeing as the fastest car in Florida Boylan (GT Bray RPM Race rock) Me (stricklands HW RPM) and Bear (Hw stricklands) Baran (rpm rack rock GT bray) garland (Hw) are all running the L4 it seems that the simplest car would be the way to go!!!!!!!!!

did I mention that I am still perfect against Katf1sh!!!!!!!!!!

BTW,the website is finally updated with the current points standings & the mains results under the winner's car pics. Thanks for the suggestions-keep 'em coming! Also,earlier today I posted a 2k4 Dodge body question under the "Protoform Oval Bodies" thread in the "Oval Product Support" forum. To my surprise,a certain "Dale Epp" replied back complimented the track! He must have looked at the track website. I just had to quote his answer to put up on our site! lol

With a comment like that from someone like Dale,all of you guys & girls should be proud!

I know with FCCR,they had all of the heats & mains all on one page (a very loong page,at that! lol). According to Dave P,that was done with downloading a copy of the results onto a floppy disk. Look at the past results from last year's 'Birds & you'll see what it'll look like on the net. We could try it with this weekend's race & find out what's left! I'll get with Hart & see if he has a floppy disk drive on his laptop.

Well we got another racer back. My Brother finally got a new job so his hours are able to let him race again. he is spending money on rc crap like it's going out of style. most of it good some stuff he is getting by with but he ought to be good enough to race with in 4 cell stock. My sport is shot put, I give em a shot in the quarter panel and the get put a lap down. One of these days I'll drive well enough to maintain that type of lead!

Yikes! I only ran the D5 last saturday for two practice packs. All that speed (if you can call it that) was ultraturd all the way baby! I'm not at Rocketmans or The Engineers(Tom Pedano)level but I've now run several 6.5's and a few 6.6's with a car that I'm still trying different stuff with and it's real heavy, At 43 ounces.

If I could've kept my car off that back straight wall in the second qualifier and especially the main I know I would've turned my first 36 lap runs. The track record will be 37 laps before long but there are still only a handful of guys who have ever run 36. There are a couple of real fast guys who for one reason or another have yet to run 36.

Hey Bear I am not up to chery picking opps I mean running 4 cell stock this week. we'll just let Omopa just keep sitting at the kids table.
