Ok everyone it's me again. I've decided to sell of some of my stuff and for anyone that knows me or has seen some of the stuff I still have around here thats something I usually do not do.

Batteries, I still have the four pack special on the corrally 3300's. The numbers(which really mean nothing)are 1.169/1.170's with one 1.15v pack thrown in for value. Hey value pricing just like the big discount stores. $60 takes tham all.

My personal 4cell packs four or five of them for $20 a pack. These are the batteries I've been using(not the raffle packs)so If I've outrun you these may be the batteries you've been needing.

Stock motors, Several stock motors that would be perfect for breakout or practice. $10 each.

19t Motors, 3 c2's. One of which has run a 35 4:03.7 in my L4 butt(tm)I'm not telling which one. $15 each. Only 2 left

Chargers, An older but still perfectly working Novak Digi-peak. It'll charge 3300's but doesnt have the adjustable cutof so it may overheat them, It would be perfect for the spec and legends packs. It'll also charge non,ni-mh reciever and transmitter packs $40.

An equal vintage Tekin bc-100L which also was top of the line for its day and still functions as new with the same limitations as the Novak above. $40

Legends car, This is my car and is as run the last time Dave P. and I ran it at the track. Complete with radio(futaba magnum am) speed control and three battery packs. All legal to run at HW as well as the Buttsey colors 40 ford body. $150. Looks like I have a sale pending on this

And now the hardest of all to let go of.

My factory team edition TC3, This car has less than 10 races on it(Ithink) and is ready to race. just add speed control, reciever, motor and steering servo. I'll even throw in all my spare parts and the box they're in. It also comes with a one practice day Buttsey colors Mazda 6 body in one practice day condition
and some spare tires including a full set of in the package foams. $300. and it's yours. I'll guarantee you couldnt build it for that or buy the spares for that matter and I'll even throw in two 6cell 3300's for good measure.
Ok everyone. This stuff needs to go even though it hurts to let go of one of the family I need to move it. I wont give it away but make some offers. Puh lease!

Did I mention I'm off today? Working on the big car and just had a fastener(that sounds better than"I just dropped a nut")fall into never never land and now it's gone for good. Figured if I came in here and took a break I'll find it when I go back out. That and I'm one more post closer to Oompah. Heh heh heh heh!

I've got a feeling that if that body works as good as I've read, there'll be a whole Dodge revolution going on at our super speedway sized track. I've been experimenting(wrecking alot)with a speedway monte carlo as opposed to the high downforce version almost everyone else is using. That Dodge may just fill the need for the medium downforce low drag body we all need to catch Bear and Tom Pedano. If thats possible.

If thats possible.Butts- Nothin' wrong w/ a Dodge! lol I've had good luck w/all of the Dodges from Protoform (fave),McAllister and Bolink (good for short track,IMO). Although they all handled different,I've only done minor changes to accomodate any of the 3. IMO,they're fairly close. Bad thing is that both Bear and Tom P (Steve P in Spec, too!) are both running the HD Monte,so I don't think it's all in the body. Butt(tm) if this new bod will help you get closer to those two with your particular setup, then that's gonna be the key!

Travis- I sure hope so! I asked Jeremy to order at least 2-5 copies. If not, then whoever has it locally first will have my $$. Otherwise,towerhobbies.com will be the last resort. Looks like you & me have the same addiction with paint and new Lexan! lol

I think next time I'm down there I am going with the taurus body, aerodynamics has got to count for something and I just don't think you need all of that HD drag on that long track. The best my stock car ever was down there, it had a protoform intrepid on it.

I ran a Bolink taurus in the last point series ,in stock, and it was actually a good balance of front down force and efficientcy.

Hey guys I'm down here in the deep south(Middleburg)and it's sprinkling. Anyone closer to the track know what the weather is like over there? Since I have to work I'm gonna head over there about 10:30 anyway. Thats right after I watch Inside r/c on the outdoor channel.

Cliff what I have found is in 19T you need the downforce in the corners that the HD monte gives. I tried the ss monte and didn't like it. now this was 19T you may be right because of the slower speed of stock. But I think that the new dodge is going to be pretty good.

George, we could even team up on a tower order and use a discount code if we have too. Hopefully Jeremey or even....dare I say.... Dan can get some in soon.( I like giving Dan a hard time)

I did order some new Dodges this week. I was supposed to last week but didn't (sorry) anyhow I should have both light and regular weight on the way we will need to see what shows up. Asked about the Bolink bodies I will be suprised if they show????

Hey Jermey it wasn't the same without you at the track today.
Yeah cuz I had to walk all the way to the hobby shop for a soda! That sux man. Come'on Soda girlie. Jeremy You should have been there. There was some speed at the track yesterday. Several visitors from other areas also. Racing on saturday will be big when the word gets around.

David Butts
12-05-2004, 12:14 PM
It was good to see some visitors at the track yesterday. Duane Yeomans and family made the trip from somewhere near central Fl. Ronnie Hames and the world famous Katf1sh did too from the Daytona area. Man something smells bad around Ronnies trailer, ??

I think that if the morning weather would have been better more people would have been there. There's not much worse than loading up all your racing gear then driving a couple of hours to get to a track only to be rained out in the end.

And again my thanks go out to all the guys that make the racing happen and in yesterdays case all the people who helped get the track dried out and runnable. I turned my fastest laps ever and more of them too so the track was actually pretty good considering the cool and damp conditions.

Yesterdays big news? The leader(Bear) is on a 37 4:05 pace, Crraasshhhhh! Ah that dreaded leaders pace curse rears it's ugly head again.

I want to thank Bear, Dave P, Tom P, and Dan for all your help yesterday. I'm just trying to make sure everything is right and not just a guess. This will help me go faster and make me a better driver so I won't mess anyone up. Thanks to everyone that helped get the track ready and running the races. It was nice to be home early.

Katf1sh- Thanks to you & Ronnie (and Duane & family!) for coming out to play w/us! Too bad the HW track isn't shaped like Talladega-it would really live up to it's name. But it almost like driving at 'Dega! If I hadn't changed that motor for the mains, you might have won a bet! lol

Jeremy- I've gotten one 2k4 Dodge body from Dan. Save me one when you get your stock in. BTW,these only come in one "weight". I've had some good results from the SS Monte Carlos @ HW. The Fords were alright (pushes a little) and I couldn't get along with the Pontiacs. They didn't like me for some reason! lol
Also,I'm not gonna call the "Leader's Pace" anymore in 19t! ;) Especially when Bear's on those 37-lap runs. The website will be updated between tonight and tomorrow night. I have to get the pics from Chris & scan the mains. I've also got a new Dodge to figure out mounting-wise (read the "Official Protoform" thread in "Oval Products" & you'll see what I'm talking about) that may cut into the website time-maybe not! lol

I'll have to wait and see if I get to race at all this coming saturday. I have a meeting in Orlando that's supposed to be over by 10:30. I could just throw all my stuff in the truck and stop at Stricklands for my break on the way back.?? Naw, I may try to get back to hw in time or I may just take a week off.

Website is updated w/ new improved "Winners Circle" pics. Will also post the Mains results next to pics as previously discussed tonight. Also,my new 2004 #9 Dodge Pro-Spec body to hit the track Sat Dec 11 (thanks,Dan!). Can you say "legally slammed"??? lol If anybody gets one of these bodies, please look up the "Protoform" thread in the "Oval Products" forum for special mounting instructions. Because you have to shorten the Left side posts a bit to get the body to sit as intended by Dale Epp! It'll look crooked when looking from the front, but it's all for a reason (aero).

George, the MD Dodge and the HD Monte both have asymetrical lines.

My mounting tips: cut the body out at the molded trim line....then while the body is on a flat table....use a finepoint sharpy to run a line around the bottom edge of the body aprox 1/8 - 1/4 inch off of the table to get an even higher trim line. Then cut the body at that line to get a slammed height.

Mount the body and adjust your body post so that the lower edge of the body is even with the chassis(the built in asymetry will be noticeable). To finish it off...while the body is mounted, push the rear pod down to compress the center shock and use the sharpie again to run a small trim line along both rear quater panels(aprox from the front of the rear tire to the rear of the body). Trim at the lines (this will give your the body clearance needed when the suspension is compressed) Wheeew...hope that made sence lol

I'm glad I'm not in charge of writting intruction manuals
