Posted some new pics on the "Pics" & "Track Info" pages. Also, will go up to HW after work w/my roller & get some driveline measurements (oval & on-road) to add to "Track Info" page tonight.

Don't forget to download your own copy of the "Classic Hobbies Raceway" oval setup sheet! It's saved my a** quite a few times already with duplicating my "fast" Pro-Spec setup! lol Very detailed & has a handy spring,t-plate and tire chart for your pit box/trailer!

WHAT! Oompah takes the lead in our quest to a 1000 posts. I aint having any of that. Oh and did I mention Dave P's back? Oh I guess y'all already know that huh?

And yippeeeeee! Jerry Parrott is back. Good to see it Jerry and I look forward to being beaten by you again in the future.

It's good to see the interest from our racing brothers down south. I hope I can fenagle my way out of work saturday and show up to race too.

Thanks Chris, That was short(like you) butt(tm) full of the pertinent information that we all needed. 6 touring cars? Thats good to see them showing up again.

Team Jax didnt fair too bad at Race rock. Bear qualified for and won the B main in 19t which bumped him up to the A main where early trouble put him out.

Tom Pedano finished 2nd in the A main in pro-stock but didnt really have a good day in 19t to put it lightly.

Stephen Pedano ran good and steady all day and finished 2nd I believe in sportsman stock,

I finished 3rd in the C of 19t after putting Phil Owen into the pipe at the start(sorry Phil again, thanks for letting me ride home under the topper of your pick up. It beat walking with all my stuff)

Joe(mama) Malin won the classics class with the #32x Trim Spa Baby car.

Both Snyders, Henry and J.P. raced and had small problems that kept them out of the winners circle in Sedan and I think sportsman stock respectively.

Ernie Bucci made the B main in 19t but didnt fair well and pulled off early.

John maher was also there and some or most of you may not know him but he was a mainstay in the old days at HW and First coast many years ago. I know he ran 12th scale (mini cup as they were called) and I think classics class but I dont know how he fared.

Phil Owen, remember him? I think he's still stuck on that pipe.

You guys that did'nt go missed a duesy(aka doosy, doozy, doosie) and should make a plan to attend one of Mike Boylans thunder events in the future. He and his crew including his wife Julie do a wonderful job.Hey a couple pages back Joe Mama said he didnt get the recognition for being part of the Jax crew or being a winner in Orlando. Well guess what Joe? You're right here, Trim spa baby! Ahhh this is #922 Oompah is going down

It's nice to have something that I built and came out of a box NEW!!. Like I said before I never had a new Oval car and I finally got it. I made like 3 changes on it last night because Bear was killing me coming out of the turns. After the changes it was alot better and we were drafting and swaping places almost every turn ( it was a blast). By the way Bear Val said where's his Motor ....don't make him come looking for ya.. J/K I didn't feel like waiting, I was hungry . I get it from ya when ever.

In the winners circle it would be cool to show the main times or finishing order that prints off the track printer?? The Gremlin blew up so we can't race against the lotis. The bottom end just couldn't take the 350 shot of nitrous

Or just the finishing order/laps/time that's on the top of each heat/mains sheets? Might be easier doing the latter (finishing order/laps/time). Maybe do that w/the pic of the winner??

Either way= yes,we can do that! BTW,sorry 'bout the Gremlin. We'll have to see if there's enough $$ in the Track Fund to buy you an AMC Pacer off of Ebay! Should be able to get one of those pretty cheap. lol

I have a Integy Indi Octane 2 discharger 4 sale. It has 2 of the six small little bulbs out that indicate the battery is discharging ( the little bulbs do not have any effect in discharging they just indicate that cell is connected.). they come in a set of six from integy for 3 dollars other than that it works good and discharges at 20 amps. So if you run B&T's this would be the perfect discharger for ya. I just want it out of my box due to lack of room $15 bucks. LMK

I have to run outside now to pick a flower. Why you ask? Well just in case I do get to race saturday I'll need to know which car to run. Pick a petal at a time and here we go. I run the Maverick, I run the L4, I run the Maverick, I run the L4 and on and on and on and on until Voilla, some stupid flower tells me which car to run.

You know if I spent as much time working on my cars as I do on here I may win a race every once in a while. That and some driving practice.? I have to look at the bright side. That was the Hyperdrive ad 10 . 10 meaning it 's 10 years old. Ray Ray had a good week and I don't want to take anything away from him . but I won't run 7.9 and 8.0 every week that 's for sure...... I think he knows that don't ya Ray Ray ....And I don't think it was the car because the week before I ran a couple a 7.2's and a butts load of 7.5's and took the win in the main with a 32 4:01( stock record 33 4:04). For some reason the cold weather effected something it felt like my car was at 3 quarter throttle all night

For some reason the cold weather effected something it felt like my car was at 3 quarter throttle all night :confused:That's very true about the cold weather last week. Seems that all of the "front runners" had an off-night. I sure didn't,except for the mains ( ) when my positive motor wire came off on Lap 2. Oh well,at least the car was handling very good! I guess that's what you get when you take very good notes when you had a fast car at one time. IMO,it's something that everybody needs to do-take notes! You'll always have something on paper to refer back to when you're stumped about your car. (see the "Setup Sheet" link on the site!) I think you gotta do that in order to be competitive.

Another thing you may want to do would be to reset your speedo every once in awhile. Phil Owen taught me that! Some times these speedos (and radios, too) will get a little wierd & do the 3 1/4 throttle thing, especially in "extreme" temp changes.

Hey guys. Oval racing right now seems to be in a major state of revitalization with new cars and parts coming out almost weekly. It's good to be racing again and we the little people of the hobby are the benefactor of some unknown persons research and design work.

Pick up your personal car or one of your cars if you're lucky enough to be able to affford more than one and look at it. Could you have designed it better? Moreso do you even know why the parts are machined or manufactured that way?

There is a ton of design work that goes into these little cars and in some instances there is some crossover between fullsize cars and ours but not much.
Do you realize what these cars would weigh if weight were also to scale? Hmmm, Try yanking that 350 pound Spec car off the bench now Charles Atlas.

I dont know where I'm going with all this butt(tm)there is a new car or conversion kit coming out from Jakes performance hobbies otherwise known as the Maverick oval car. The new car will be called the 05 Maverick H.E. or Hayes edition. The car has been designed by Jake Rosen(All around nice guy and Mr. Maverick hisself) and Mr. Brad Hayes. Mr. Hayes is/was the primary designer of the ADX carline that was apparently doing good while I was'nt racing. The new car looks very interesting to say the least and I'm going to try and get one to use as my new primary oval car.

One thing to remember when purchasing a new car is just how much new do you need. Maybe a conversion is just what you need instead of a completely new car. Think about how many parts in a kit are'nt used. For instance, Does everyone run the kit shocks? How about the kit bearings? They add cost and are trash in a weeks worth of racing. King pins and front springs? Well you can use those stock e-clip kingpins as pinion holders I guess as every fast racer and most notso fast have some sort of extra long hi tech kp in their cars right? Most of the high wear parts on your car have probably been replaced lately anyway correct? Well that conversion kit is starting to look better all the time now is'nt it?

Just transfer all your high buck aftermarket L3/L4 parts over to your new economically priced 05 Maverick H.E. edition high falootin whiz bang slider chassis that is'nt, With all the bells and whistles and you'll be the envy of all in the pits. It'll score extra brownie points if you're the first with the new car too so dont wait, Just punch up www.swiftracingproducts.com (http://www.swiftracingproducts.com/) right now and check out the pictures of your next car. I did!

Good Gawd I just typed all that just to get another post on Oompah Loompah? Dat's da shizzle!
