George if you want certain pics taken of the speedway or whatever just to have new pics. I can bring my digital camera sat or whenever. I can take a pic and just email it to you so you can post it. Also someone mentioned to take a pic of the winners each week and post them next to the results just an idea but we can use my camera if needed. ur the man!!!!!!Chris- Good idea! Bring it to the track Saturday & we'll get busy! Some of my pics of the speedway repaving kinda disappeared,so we'll need new, current ones. A lot of the pics I got were lifted from Shawn's old site. Good thing he still has his up! lol Get a pic of Focker's cars before he tears 'em up & I'll post it in the "Pics" page. Also,a pic of the weekly winners & their sleds would be great, too.

George everytime I check the website out it gets better. You'll soon be a pro at this. Can you add a link the home page? I would help especially on the pics side. If you need me to take any pics I do that and also "stitch" some pics together for an update track pic. Oh one more thing you need a real pic of a "nastruck" instead of those two you have. LOL

Hey George I agree that the site gets better everytime. On the pics page the actual year the track was built was 1986 not 1979, Most of the pics I gave shawn were from 1987 on up to 1991 butt(tm) the track record board picture was from about 1993 or 1994, Look close, Phil Owen with a truck track record? 25 laps with 6 cells? Man we thought we were flying back then. Notice I have two records? the fastest being 28 laps. Heh heh heh Shameless plug :hat:

LOLEugene- Thanks! Your (and Chris') photo contris will be a great help, not only to the website, but to promote the track as well. As for the "Nastruck",unfortunately the only pic that may be in existence to date would be Chris' sleds. I agree,we need more variety in that dept! lol If you're asking if I could add a link to another website/page on our homepage-then yes,I could! I'll get w/you Saturday or whenever.

Butts- WOW! 1986 seems like yesterday! So does 1987,1979,1991,'93 & '94! I kinda figured that you would know the dates of the tracks evolution. OK,I'll make those changes to the dates. As far as a "timline" of sorts here' what I've gotten so far:

1986- Track opens as a dirt venue

1986 to ____- Dirt track racing

____ to 2003- First layer of asphalt laid; track is now run as a "paved" venue

2003 to current- new asphalt layer installed along with improvements in lighting; Newer, updated AMB scoring system w/personal transponders now being used.

I need to know what year the dirt was paved over or the first time. Wasn't there a club involved in that? I do remember seeing the signs for a club posted when I started racing in 1999.

Good luck to all going to Race Rock. Bring back some hardware to Jax so I can post a pic on the site for "rubbin'-in-your-face" purposes!

I had to move the wheelbase back out, hence the new body. All I have to do is to cut new number "9"'s & I'll mount the wing at the track. I think the yellow was too much of a jinx,so I went back to good ol' red.

Also some good news about the website! No longer will everybody have to type in that long-a** web address to get to our site. I've secured a "free domain" web addy for us & it is:

Of course it might cost a small fortune in recievers, speedos, servos, batteries and chargers. And a new power supply to run everything. Oh and a 3 man pit crew to make sure all the cars are ready for their races. I can't wait for the kids to grow up a little more. But wait won't I be the pit crew then?

Nope! It doesnt work that way, Ray. All three of my kids were interested to some degree in r/c racing or atleast running the cars some before they grew out of it. I'm the one who did'nt. Even my legends car was my daughters at one time, Now she would'nt be caught dead with a transmitter in her hand.

A word from one who's been there. Dont force r/c racing on your kids. They'll either want to do it or they wont. It's not your decision, Kinda like stick and ball sports. Now a little prodding with a cattle prod may help but I think thats still illegal in some states. Also for every car they want to drive thats one less for you. We're all in this for the thrill of driving a car albeit a very tiny one at ballistic speeds so why divvy it out to anyone else? I'ts mine all mine!

Butts(tm)- ??????????? What are ya talking about?? Or is it the beer doing the talking?? I AM the real deal! lol

Chris(tm)- No,your camera's not broke! The pics I got from you (or Jennifer! lol) were, like, waaay too big. I could cover a whole page w/1 pic! It would also eat up much of the 20mb space allotted for the site. So I had to resize them down in order to fit correctly. Bad thing is that doing so would mess w/the resolution. The best thing to do is whenever you upload your camera into your computer, resize the image into the following specs before emailing them:

WIDTH: 260 PIXELS
HEIGHT: 195 PIXELS

Of course,do all of your image editing (taking out all of the wheelmarks, fixing the fenders,CGI trickery, etc) BEFORE resizing! lol If you are not able to do it,just send the pics to me & I'll see what I could do w/it. And if I can't do anything w/it,I'll give them to my art director at work & he'll do something w/them. Don't be surprised if it ends up screenprinted on a t-shirt someday! LOL
