Dave P can flat out paint a body so I'm sure it's SWEET!
Oh yeah he did a great job on the body. He did a really really good job of putting the decals on and thats something I think can screw up a good paintjob is crooked or folded decals. Actually I was joking about the "what was I thinking" comment. we looked through all his decal sets and agreed on the black 01 car. Its a patriotic salute to the armed forces in an r/c racing kind of way. Plus if it doesnt work I can blame it on the color. CYA!

David Butts
09-28-2004, 06:05 PM
Butts(tm) everyone thought that paint scheme was "super".

I think you'll like the Maverick. Will Dave P follow suit when you retake that stock record?
Thanks Shawn, really I just got tired of the car collecting dust and Jake(Mr. Maverick) is talking about an 05 car coming out soon. Figured I may as well run the 04 car. Plus it looks brand new having never been run on asphalt as far as I know. Not a scratch on it. Yet?

As far as the stock record? It may be just out of my reach with my current(no pun intended)batteries and stock motors. Tom Pedano would be my pick if anyone is gonna get it. As a side note to my battery situation. I ran my fastest times this past saturday at RPM once again with the same B@T packs I've won in the raffle. And they may have what it takes if I can find a suitable motor. My car is on rails or atleast it was last time at the track.

And no. I dont think Dave will switch. Neither will I give up my L4. I'm just going to run a different car just because ------------ I have it.

Today's News
Three couples went in to see the minister to see how to become members of his church. The minister said that they would have to go without sex for two weeks and then come back and tell him how it went.

The first couple was retired, the second couple was middle-aged and the final couple was newlywed.

Two weeks went by, and the couples returned to the minister. The retired couple said it was no problem at all. The middle-aged couple said it was tough for the first week, but after that, it was no problem. The newlyweds said it was fine until she dropped the can of paint.

"Can of PAINT!" exclaimed the minister.

"Yeah," said the newlywed man. "She dropped the can and when she bent over to pick it up I had to have her right there and then. Lust took over."

The minister just shook his head and said that they were not welcome in the church.

"That's okay," said the man. "We're not welcome in Home Depot either."

and in other news

A woman goes into a department store and tells the salesman she wants a pair of pink curtains.

He assures her they have a good selection of pink curtains in many different fabrics and proceeds to show them to her.

She finally picks out a pink floral pattern.

The salesman asks, "What size do you need?"

"Fifteen inches," she responds.

"FIFTEEN INCHES!" he exclaims. "What room are they for?"

"They are not for a room, they are for my computer monitor," she tells him.

The surprised salesman exclaims, "Miss, computers do not need curtains."
To which she replies, "HELLooooooo.........I've got Windows!"

Hey guys. It's been mentioned that Dave Puliafico won the "A" main with his raffle won hyperdrive in 12th 19t at RPM for the focars race last saturday but what hasnt been mentioned till now is there were a bunch of Jax area racers there. Dave P, Myself, Tom and Steven Pedano and Travis Adams. Steven took down the win in the stock "A" main and Travis got the prostock "B" main win. Me? 3rd in the 19t "B". Competiton is tough in that series and sometimes finishing with your car in one piece is a win.

Pop Quiz: If you had a pulsar charger and a turbo 30, and you had to sell one, which one would you sell and why?

Echeconnee
09-30-2004, 07:56 PM
the pulsar, the turbo thirty can do much more than the pulsar and is way more expensive to replace after you realize you have sold the wrong one. I sold mine when I should have kept it and have not been able to afford a replacement

davepull
09-30-2004, 08:33 PM
it really depends on which turbo30 you have. if it is a 35bl (the Black one) then sell the pulsar. if the turbo thirty is the one with the indy car on it sell the turbo and keep the pulsar

I use my pulasr to all my charging. I use my turbo 30 to discharge and run motors.

Chris-John Pilgrim usually has his own blower w/him. The pull start cord on the HW blower finally broke on him last week. If anybody else has a blower they could bring out, please bring it on! The more blowers on track, the sooner we all could practice.(and Wang Chung tonight! lol)

BTW,Tom still has that long extension cord of yours w/him!

Weather permitting, I'll be there next friday night with the black #01 U.S. ARMY car. It's official, The #01 U.S. Army(Paint by Focker) 04 Maverick OPC is now a done deal, Antique radio gear and all. Cell tower be damned I'm running a.m. radio gear or atleast trying to. Class still to be determined. Unless it's undriveable I'm looking for it to be a fun night. I want to appologize now for any on track transgressions that may take place. Including but not to exclude, Fender rubbing, Paint scraping, Bump drafting, Putting the bumper to and last but not least, Just plain old moving out of the way.

Now I'm off to start working on my excuses. Dang old batteries, My body is the wrong type and, whoops I grabbed the wrong tires. That was the wrong motor and I forgot to repeak. Anymore? Just feel free to add them. And remember these are just toy cars so it's all for fun. Right? Vrooooom vrooooom!
