Looks like Friday Oval Nights at HW. Everyone seems to be parking their touring car or are scared to run more than one class a night. :(

i am not parking my touring car I plan to keep racing it. I just want to sell it so I can buy a new one.

It would also help if the racer would put their cars away after their race and turn marshall and volunteer to turn marshall when needed. :thumbsup:

First off if people would turn marshal when they are called insted of five min. later that might cut some time off, dont you think?????? Dave P. if you would like to see more at tech than you do it! No better yet you try to run the races and run tech because after someone techs like what you want to do that will be expected all the time. You would need someone just for tech they would nt have much time to race. I did tech and running the races befor you started racing at hw that is hard, also i have two cars to work on to race. I will quit running the races befor i quit racing. I want to see everone race and me..... I have been running the races for 3 or 4 years just to let you know. Tom, George, and John P. have been helping me for about two points series and am very greatful for there help. ( Thanks Tom, George, & John P. ) But i race because i want to and i am almost sorry i got on this site. I take time off my very busy schedule to run the races and race, not that i am complaining but i have alot going on in my life and racing is a way for me to get away but if you want to make it hard on me i will stay at the dam office.....

I will be running Touring for the next series and then oval and touring together for the one after that.

Will more than likely not be up there, or at least not to race, this Friday due to some possible family things. Will be there with a vengeance this summer though...and surrounding tracks as well.

That alot of tech and takes about 1 to 2 min. per car and then there will not be any lap times called. :confused:

Thats cool be if it is done for one race than it will be expected all the time and what happens when Chris or who everelse gets tired of doing it. Then it falls back on me and whoever is helping me run the races.

I really don't think we need to tech the cars no one at HW cheats anyway plus its fun trying to catch up or think your catching up.

Maybe do a post tech after the heats or mains for the top three.

Thing were fine until people started wining about more tech. Well all i can say is buck-up and help every friday if you are that worried about tech if not stop wining. If you want all that tech everone has to pitch in and help but Dave P. if you want more tech I will let you do tech for all classes.. I am sure there will be people tat wont mind helping as long as you tell them what to look for. ( like Chris ) But i will say it agian that takes alot of time and decation... Man..... You guys are getting CRAZY!!!!!! I think john is doing an awesome job. Most of the guys #$%#$ing about what sould be done, Just sitting around smoking and joking waiting to race. If you want all of this to happen at the track, Then IMO you should be up there helping out. If you need someone to tech the oval cars, I don't mind helping out if it will stop all the crying.

And as far as the new classes goes, If the people want to run it, Then they should be able to as long as there's enough people, Think about it...... You would'nt want to be the person wanting to run a class and could'nt, Because a couple of people wanted to get home early. If you think your getting home to late........ Don't @$#%$ about it ...... STAY HOME!!!!!!!! Just my OPINION

The 19t rules will be easy to follow as long as we have some type of tech to prevent anyone to stretch the rules and take a unfair advantage.

John You seem to forget that I ran a carpet show which had 7 classes 5 oval 2 touring at least 40 racers and usually 9 races. I had to do a track change from oval to road course and I ran 2 classes.

if you look at the new rules it is going to be pretty hard to cheat. why are you guys so worried about teching motors?


I would like to see the cars be teched better. weighing the cars and checking wing sizes and bodies. that is where you can pick up a bunch.

I guess i just sucked the last 3 or 4 years i have ran the races. Please try to under stand I ran all the at the first CPT. I think I have been doing it for awhile dont you think???????????? I have been at hw almost every friday for the last five years thats decation but if you dont like it stay at home. I dont want to run racers away but I think I have had enough so put up or shut up.

John I know what you are saying. I have ran races before. I loved doing it. but in order to run a tight show you tick people off. HW is your show you are free to run how ever you see fit. i just seems that alot of the people that use these boards feel that they need a tech. My suggestion for tech would be that the last place finisher in that race would tech the first place car. If you check the above items mentioned elsewhere (if anything,check weight & see if correct motor is in the car),it could be done while the turn marshalls get to their posts & before the start of the next race. The winner of the mains would get teched in further detail (look for tag on armature?) no matter what. (Maybe by race director?)

I also like the "BB gun" idea for turn marshalls! Preferably,one w/laser sights! lol Hopefully we won't need it!

I am trying to set my car up for stock and will probably be at the track tonight to practice and recycle somer 4cell packs. I need to know a ball park gear ratio you guys are running.

I brought up teching, and Phil and Dave P both agreed with me. If only one car per night per class was randomly checked, it would be enough of a deterrent. Even racing for free might be enough of payment for someone out there to spend an hour or so a night teching randomly, post race. Recently I was teched when I broke the track record, there didn't seem to be a man power shortage when that happened. I think John has done a good job and we should support him in anyway we can.

I don't think its a good idea to make the last place finisher tech the 1st place. He already finished last--why add to the injury by making him do something other than work on his ailing car after he finishes turn marshalling?

It would be a better idea for the 3rd place finisher to tech the 1st and 2nd. That way, he's motivated to find something since it will move him up! It also guarantees that you get someone experienced enough to know all the covert ways of cheating rather than getting some newbie that can only say, "Yep, its got a motor."

Big Don had his surgery yesterday, all is well according to his wife he is in icu,the surgery went well no complications. He will be in the hospital about ten days, he does face a long recovery time though,we should all keep him in our prayers he has been down a long road .

Yep glad to hear he's(Don) doing well with no complications.Funny you guys talk about teching and such motors?Its all in the setup and the fifth wheel to me as long as you have no defective parts.One more point there's a guy that races at hobby world for some while and I dont mean to pick but he runs old old stuff and maybe buys a motor once every few months and he's fastand a great fifth wheel.He is A PERFECT EXAMPLE OF A GOOD DRIVER AND PITMAN .Do you guys know who?By the way he also helps john with anouncing HEY DAVE IT LOOKS GREAT JUST LIKE A SKULL

hey guys I just talked with David Lee the guy who had his 12th scale stolen @ the birds. you guys know the story Todd Malone was at the track with it trying to sell it. said he found it yah right. well Todd was supose to send the car back to David 3 weeks ago and he still hasn't sent it. And now doesn't answer the phone or return David's email. boy that just screams I stole the car!!!!!! If anybody has a way of getting in touch with Todd and retreiving this car David would really appreciate the help. and no David doesn't want to go to the cops.
