I have like 10-15 Pine trees in my yard and I was a worried to death for three days that one was going to fall on my house. I need a beer or a shot of something at this point. I hate this weather!!!!! I never lost power and from what I've been hearing I was lucky.I did have a hard pine cone smack into my roof at 90 mph. It was moving faster than Tom P. 19 turn car..lol Amyway it broke off a piece of shingle and now I have a small leak.(CRAP). Alot of tree limbs all over the yard, no internet, roof leaking a little, privacy fence blew over in one section, can't play with my toy car or my big toy car. All there is to do is sit and watch the weater channel.THIS F-IN SUCKS!!!!!! Frances can eat my ---!!!
I feel better.

Looks like Ivan (http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/ftp/graphics/AT09/refresh/AL0904W%2BGIF/070303W.gif) will be far enough south to not affect this coming Friday, at least we have that to look forward to.

Good question(for a change) has anyone seen the track?????Chris- I got a chance to go there today & the track is in great shape, albeit very filthy w/ leaves, dirt, etc. There's no fallen-over oak trees on the track and the parking area (grass) is very muddy & soggy. Aside from the usual knocked-over trash cans from the lil' critters & the odd small branch in the chicken coop, the whole place looks good. I may stop by tomorrow PM & turn the lights on to see if they still work.

I'm not too crazy about Ivan's projected path at this point. One hurricane is bad;two's waaay more than enough! Let's all hope the weather holds out this Friday (looks good so far) & hope Ivan has a change of direction or dies out. After a week/weekend of tornado warnings, flood warnings, wind damage, power outages and worrying about involuntary house remodeling w/that big tree in your yard,I think that everybody is ready to go racing!

My brother works for the state and he told me last night they were looking for it to hit the Keys on Sunday and then turn up the state. He is hating it cause he has to go around inspecting all of the shelters to make sure they are up on supplies and set up with all of the resources.

We'll have the very latest on First Coast News at Noon. With the base close by,it's probably an old WW2 practice bomb. NAS Jax was a very active Navy training base during the war & bombing practice was done very close by during that era. It wasn't uncommon to have practice or live ordinance fall off of planes taking off or landing. I'm sure there's a lot more of those items in the undeveloped land around & across from NAS Jax than people know about.

I gained a new appreciation for people last night. Our power went out around 4:30 yesterday afternoon and never came back on. Last night was one of the most miserable nights I have had in a long time.....even with the windows open I was up every 20 or 30 minutes from the heat. Kinda pain getting ready for work this morning by candlelight and flashlight too lol. Just hope its on when I get home......

I cant imagine going without power for days like some people have had to....

George thanks for all the help, should be ready to go next Saturday night.
I called the HS and they said it wasn't raining,so I assumed we were racing..OPPS !!!
Should have asked if we were racing ,huh..
Had a chance to get a good setup on the truck though, little dark in 1-2,but that made it even better practice..

Eugene what BL system is that? sport, super sport?
I have to say it is really comparable to a 19t as we ran together for awhile.

It's the novak SS4300 brushless system. Here's the specs http://teamnovak.com/products/MOTOR/ss4300.htm The system is great. Motor runs very cool, very little resistance, the bummer are the breaks (none) or I haven't dialed them in yet. Best of all the BRIGHT red "break" lights. :p

KevinKevin- Glad we got your truck running better! Be sure to ask RCBods to find you a Parma or Hot Bodies Dodge Ram. I've had both & the Parma body was better in the durability dept. The Hot Bodies truck didn't last 2 races (too thin). The funny thing was that after you left when the rain came down again, that Turn 1 light came on! Yeah, maybe somebody should have posted the race cancellation on HobbyTalk. I found out when I called Tom while driving in the rain on I-295.
Just a reminder that next week's race will be on SATURDAY 9/18! Hopefully everybody will make it! (Pending Ivan's evil itenerary!)

Shawn- Did ya lose a belt holster for your cell under the drivers stand recently? If it is a gray Motorola clip,Stoney found it yesterday when clearing the weeds. I have it w/ me & will bring it Saturday. I remember your cell dropped under the stairs awhile back & had to have Jay bump your phone to locate it.

If it isn't yours,I'll still bring it w/me Saturday. If anybody lost theirs, look for me.
