Looks like The Brad Jessee has sold all of his stuff. and I mean all. It is really sad when you loose a racer like him. Just how many more people will be lost before something is done?

I won't be back on this board for a while. Dave is my friend and I'm in no way saying it's all him but There is only so much negitive S*%T I can take... Someone is always complaining about something, some times I even get wraped up in it. Nothing will ever be solved on a message board. I got to much going on to be in a drama everyday when I read this board. Brad was a good guy hopefully he'll be back.If not Take care and hope to see ya out and about. Later see ya the track.

those points dont add up right in spec. :confused:Stoney- Don't know what happened there! Week 6 wasn't posted,so here's what it's supposed to read:
1 S. PEDANO: 102 PTS
2 S. MULLINS: 96 PTS
3 E. BIALA: 0 PTS
4 S.PIERCE: 0 PTS
5tie J. LAMBERT: 94 PTS
5tie G. CHRISMAN:98 PTS
The rest didn't race/show up that night. Should be in the same order as on the website.

Sorry Chris it just irks me that the hobby looses a racer like Brad because of things that are very easy to fix. but I have to remember where I am talking about the is a small group that is set in the ways and you will never change that ever. so you are left with a choice of to race or not race. I have chosen not to race for a while where The Brad chose to sell it all.

this is one of the things I am talking about why do we race on friday nights? I know about 15 other people that would love to the racing shift to Saturday night @ 6pm I guarantee that you would see a increase in racers if you ran on Sats.

The Brad was born to race he had a mean streak 3 feet wide, a son of a gun with taste for fun and man that boy could drive take a dirt roads curve devil nerve

hey I got a trivia question for yall Where was Stoker Ace's hometown?

I have to agree with you there. After working all week in a loud and hot power plant, I just don't feel like racing until midnight on Friday. I pack my stuff in the truck almost every Friday morning and fully intend to race after work, but by the time I'm driving by 103rd St at 6 pm, I'm just too beat to bother racing and I bring it all back home and unload it.

Until I can get my schedule changed from Tue-Fri to Mon-Thur, I doubt I'll be racing much. I'd love to see Saturday night racing so I can join back in.

07-23-2004, 12:18 AM
And I may be totally off here, but I cant imagine that what you are talking about Dave would have any bearing on Brad. Like I said, I may be wrong, but the negativity is getting old. I get that too much from everywhere else...work, RCST, work, etc.

davepull
07-23-2004, 01:21 AM
well Gino you are wrong Brad said that after working all day racing on friday was hard and that Sat night would be better. I am not trying to be negative in 2 hours at least 4 more peole have already said that they would show up. More people means more competition or at least getting to lap the fish more often. lol no really I care alot about this hobby you have been in the garagemahall. lol there are some people that might like the friday nights because it free's up the weekend but you know what if John Hart said ok next point series we are going to race saturday nights those people would still come because they love to race.

you are right on the stroker ace question .

a little more trivia what was the name of the #10 and for bonus points what was his sponsor?

New92
07-23-2004, 09:35 AM
Like I said, I may be wrong lol. Saturday nights would work for me too....actually any night would work for me :)

ahhhhhhhh, I know that one.........will get back to you after I wash the truck.
Wait, Aubrey James wasnt it that drove 10? as far as a sponsor goes I am drawing a blank....I know Stroker was a Clyde Torkel Chicken Man lol

thats something im sure we could work out with john.i agree we will get more out of towners.but we would need to vote it in as a group.maybe do 2 saturdays a month to see how the crowd is.run a saturday point series and our freinds in daytona, orlando and tampa could run with us.i will offer myself to help in anyway,im sure tom marlowe wouldnt mind running the races.let see what we can work out????????? bear

Bear- I won't mind helping Tom running the races, either! 2 Sat's a month would be a good starting point, just to test the waters-since the Sunday deal didn't work out as originally thought. Heck, just run 'em on Sat's from now on! lol Sat days during the winter months & Sat nights during Spring,Summer & Fall.

I like Saturday's as well. If we started at 6pm it would allow kids to start racing more. Also we can shift to a 12 noon start time in winter time. Sweeeet. Sounds good to me.

I didn't post the points for the last race cause its up in the air. Although the total points standing does include that night. I'm of the opinion that it was a wash since the 2nd quals were not finished before the rain started. I'm not sure why the push to make that night count since we get to race FREE this Friday if we don't!!! ;) Its a "no brainer" in my book.

Darn...I must be the only one who enjoys Friday night racing...I too work all day on Fridays hmm well maybe not, but I am at work all day ;) and race till early early saturday morning and then there are some special third Saturdays of the month I play Navy and have to be at work at 7am. plus the other Saturdays we go to the other tracks like Branford and Strickland on their Saturday racing. I could also say their was one weekend I race at HW on Friday, Strickland on Saturday and Branford was Sunday.

Point is HW have always held races on Friday night ever since I been racing and that was when the oval track was clay and the road course was an offroad track. Way back....and I just got back into this thing this year...its always something the same "BS" just different people well there are some people I raced with back then and are still racing now still same old attitude.

I for one don't really care what day we race Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday...I well now we (aren & I) just want to get out of the house and race. I am sure what ever the powers to be elect to do I will be there to race and support that decision. And if I don't like that decision well you won't read it on here :p

Jacksonville/Orange Park/Middleburg as a whole really needs another racing venue perferable another group people to run the show. This is not putting down John, Tom, George, & Pilgrim. I am just saying until we (racers) have another place to race in the Jacksonville area be happy of what we have. Can you imagine if HW closed it's gate to the track. Hmmm

See you all at the track I am going to work on my cars now so Stoney and Steve P you guys will have to earn the TQ and win tonite unless I get both.

hey eugene the only reason i would like saturdays is so the out of towners can come to us like we go the them.thats why i said maybe 2 saturdays a month, maybe the first saturday, then we go to stricklands and the 3rd saturday back here.then if stricklands get a second date when can go with the 4th saturday.the out of town guys cant come on fridays because of work.

Hey just to let everybody know John will not be down this evening.

davepull
07-23-2004, 04:51 PM
forget out of towners there are alot of locals that would rather race on a saturday. the only problem with the 2 Sat deal is because of the stupid points people would race fridays. and you would split the crowd up. I am sying drop friday and points all together. run the shown on saturdays from now till the 1st of december then switch to sundays till the 1st of march.

guys in makes me sick that we live in a city of a million people and have 25 to 30 out at the track. bottom line is SATURDAYS MAKE SENSE. If this is brought to a vote do the right thing and think about the hobby and the racing we need more faces.

I like racing on friday nites. If you want to switch back and forth between fridays & saturdays that would be ok if thats what everyone wants. If you go to all saturdays, I would not be able race every week like I do now. It would also make it hard to visit other tracks for races. Hey whats wrong with being a stupid points people?

This is my Navy reserve weekend so no racing :(

Mike Bean's oval race at Strickland is Aug 14. I am sure the others will post if there are going when the date gets closer. There is also two treads on here about the oval race. Also, FOCAR #4 is on the 15th at RPM. That weekend might get at little busy for some of us who needs more than enough of racing :p

guys i love the one saturday a month deal. this allows guys like dan mclinton to still race 3 times a month, and gives the locals what they want as well? i know that one saturday a month will have a great attendance!

august 14th strickland will have a nice size turn out. it seems the guys from tampa who are racing RPM sunday august 15th will be going to strickland on saturday the 14th as well. mike boylan included! or is that boylon? ahahahhhaha

I think the only way to make the raceing on the 3rd sat night work is to not race on the friday night before and make that saturday a points race.

to all the people that race at HW if you haven't been to RPM you need to go that place is the awesome

Dem's fightin(oops that may be a bad choice of words)words. Since I got my butt(tm) handed to me in 19t I may just drop back to stock when I return to hw again. I really want a 36 lap run but man-o-man are the crashes in 19t hard on equipment. Lots of them too. Stock seems to be more laid back and I'm all about being laid back and having fun.
