Might see you guys Friday night if I get my box(Chevy) goin...Kevin- I would think August 6. Tomorrow will be Week 5 of 7. We take 2 weeks off after the series. Well, not "2 weeks off" as in "close the track for 2 wks",but more like a non-points practice race or weekly club race w/scoring. That gives everyone time to get their cars tuned in & try different things. Also gives the newbies time to get used to nighttime racing,as well as driving in traffic. I think that the 4-cell stock class should be allowed to run either NASCAR-style car or truck bods! We used to run them both in the same race in the old-skool days of Street Spec, why not now (or the next point series)? Hope to see you guys next series!

George,

Could you give us a run down on the points? This way everybody has an idea of where they stand. Until Shawn gets them posted.

Thanks

Here's a link http://daytona-rc.homeip.net/index.html It's the website for the dirt and on road track but it's the same place. Mike Bean host an oval race once a month on the second saturday of the month. It's a nice smooth track. I used the same tire combo & setup like HW. They also run a nastruck class but its 19t and class called "Rat" class. Almost like a run what you brung class. All age groups fun to watch. I thought there was a pic somewhere here but couldn't find it.

I was cleaning out my garage and found alot of extra gutter and downspouts that I had originally was going to put on the house. Decided not to and its been sitting around. I need to get rid of it and was going to just trash it but thought about the pit area.

If the interest is there we could run it arouind and put the downspouts on each end pointing back towards the back fence. Would at least keep the drips away when it rains off of the tables and stuff.

If we dont want to do that anyone is welcome to it if they want to come get it. I live off Blanding between Middleburg and OP.

Okay - it's another general announcement time. There will be a thread started once the deal is 100% confirmed. Since the paved oval race was given up by RPM in September I came up with a different idea. I asked several people in the pits at Hobbyworld about the idea and it sounded good. They also wanted it held there- so I asked. They don't have the help to do the race this year.If I'm re-elected next year I'll all for getting one up here .
Here we go (Big Don this is for you and the other Ga. boys). There is going to be a Super Regional Paved Oval event (Region 4vs3).It will be hosted at Stricklands (daytona) by Mike Bean. The dates are to be reconfirmed before we publish the dates.Look for late September-October.

Kevin, yep.

There usually are a bunch on Sunday's as well that come out and test and tune. It was hot yesterday, and I didn't get much done since my car seems to fall apart everytime I bring it out. My center shock had all the oil leak out while I was on vacation, I didn't notice it until after one run when i tried to blow off the dirt and it didn't move. Then I had a right front bearing bind up and stop completely but somehow the tire worked around it like a bushing. Dooooh! And I think it happened during my first lap out there since I was pushing real bad. After three packs I discovered the problem, but by then I was ready to pack it in. I'll be back on Thursday night, and I get out of work on Friday at 2:30 so I can be trackside early and get a couple laps in.

Then my last run I finally came off the caps, really didn't want to but I did,and ran some foams..
Had a great time, even though I couldn't see for all the sweat from the heat,ehhhh.. See ya guys Friday night... Kevin

Hey RCGen there are two tracks that run brushless that I know of,Encheconnee (http://www.echeconneesuperspeedway.tk/)is one, they run them in the 7.0 breakout class.Branford (http://www.kevinsrc.tk) will allow them in the Novice class also. Kevin
