Someone obviously has a problem with me. An anonymous poster has mentioned a few recent incidents at the track. The first involves another racer-friend and myself goofing off. I'll admit that I wasn't setting a very good example, however; it was all in fun and didn't effect any of the other racers. Unfortunately, this happened on the same night that I gave a short speech about slower racers giving way to faster ones and racing courteously.
Secondly, this person called someone that works and is paid for what he does for me my "puppy dog". I thought that was really funny . It sure takes a lot of balls to call someone names from behind a computer screen. Any TRUE racer would let his skills do his talking on the track and wouldn't have to piss and wail like some fourth grader who got his butt kicked on the playground by some girl.
I know that there have been a lot of changes since I took over the running of the track. Not all of them are popular, but necessary to make it FAIR for EVERYONE. We are running by R.O.A.R Rules (Offroad Truck, Dirt Stock, Touring T2, and Electric Oval). That way everyone knows what is and isn't allowed. The rules are available on-line and I will be glad to answer any questions that anyone may have.
When I decided to take responsibility for the track, it was with the intention of making it bigger and better and encouraging new interest in our hobby.
So far, I think we're on the right track. We just need to work together instead of against each other and the track. For anyone who has a suggestion, question, complaint or just wants to shoot the bull, my door is always open (205-339-4950) leave a message if need be.
I hope that this has helped to clear the air.

I've said my peace...see you at the track...face-to-face...like a man.

Oh yeah, Tony I think your doing a great job with the track, lots of racers, and trying to make things fair. I am having a ball! You try to please most everyone so that we all have a good time at the track, but you know that you can make some of the people happy most of the time, but you can NEVER make EVERYONE happy ALL the time. Thanks for trying.

See what it is he will try to destroy everything, since it is obvious he cannot have a good time.A call to the local police may need be in order to have them patrol area some more. Or whatever they need to do.Just a thought.

I know it would inconvenience a lot of racers, but I would start locking the old gate again. It will NOT stop a determined idiot from tearing up stuff, but it would at least slow him down.

Just my opinion. Good luck racing.

Enjoyed racing with ya'll last night/this morning. Will definitely be back. Soon.
Despite what you may read here, thought you did an excellent job with that many people. I can say from experience I know it was tuff. Hats off to you and all the people that helped with the tracks.

Hated I had to leave after the 3rd round eventhough I was in the show. That rain delay we had just set me back to much. Needed to get some sleep. What time did you all finish up and who won nascar?

Tony, Just wanted to tell you that I enjoyed racing with yall last night. You can't beat saturday night short track racing. You did a great job keeping everything running smoothly with the amount of racers and classes you had going. To everyone that ran the nascar class, that was some very intense racing and congrats to the new track record holder. Hope to be able to make another trip up there when I can.

Greg, Good seeing you again. Enjoy your vacation!!

B.A.,
I can say that I had a great time. Tony split the Nascar up into an A,B,& C main and I was lucky to win the C main and take home some gold. In the truck well lets say I drove the wheel off the truck. Brian won and he was smokeing the track. I lost a tire about a min. into the race it just came unglued. I have fixed that problem now. Well go and get you a electric truck so you can run with us and just have the gas as a back up if some show. That new body that you painted up looks good. Talk to you later man.

Man what a night. Nascar car was as good as it gets. The dirt burners were flying also. F1 and Touring were doing the loose dance. So here we go.

Nascar had 13 drivers. Todd got the Tq and Track Record with a 42/4:01.5 which beat the second qualifier with a 42/4:01.7. That hurt Todd. Todd also won the A main. The B-main was won by Nate in a heated battle with 4 other cars. McLake won the C-main.
Touring was won by M Didyoung and Tq.
F1's were won by Bill with a Track record of 36/4:03.8.
Dirt Stock was a heated battle all night. At the end Jones Won and Set Track Record in the main with 34/4:06.7.
Stock Truck was won by Brian with a track record of 34/4:07.1.

We had 32 cars on both tracks for some of the best racing in T-Town. I would like to thank Jimmy and Jamie Cork for a awsome Dirt track. Bill for helping with the computer and calling. All the Huntsville,Meridian and Pensacola boys for making the trip. I would like to thank the regular racers that come to the track also.I think everyone put everything they had on the table. Next week is just the concrete(thank GOD) just incase some other guys want to come to the best short track in the south.

Some guys are already wanting a state race here so let me know what your feelings are. Dang I HAD A BLAST.

Tony, I think it would be great to have the state race there. I know I would be there if I could get off work on the right saturday.
I still can't get over our qualifier with you Brian and me all getting 42 laps. That was cool.
