Mr Electric 10-20-2004, 02:58 PM Guess I could have told ya'll how big it is. It looks tight, but those lanes are 12' wide and the 2 straights are 100' long. The whole layout is 100' by 72'. mclake 10-20-2004, 03:02 PM Hey there Slider glad to see ya back. How is that knee doing. You going to be about to race this weekend. Gotjuice? 10-21-2004, 06:01 AM The Juice? man got last due to broke T-plate after being put in the wall. Got wrecked every heat by "slower cars" and still turned 34/4:00.37 to qualify 3rd. I had a good time but When your turning 6.8 and someone is turning 7.1's in the qualifiers they need to help you not put you in the wall. I had 1 guy tell me you can't pass on the outside of turn 4. Because I took the air off his spoiler and he spun. Bill did win breakout. Tony Slider 10-21-2004, 08:28 AM Gotjuice. If you can't pass on outside of turn 4,where would he have liked you to pass???? A big thanks to all that helped: MAC Hobbies, all the tractor guys, and everone that was out pitching in a hand. Lets not forget Tony for letting us be able to build this track out there. Last but not least (well maybe not) old Scott Foshee for all of his hard work in planning and coming up with a great design. I hope that I did not leave any out and if I did just let me know and I will add ya. Let's not forget the hard work that it took to make this track and lets keep it looking nice. See everone about 1:00 today, I will be there just cutting it close. Michael Mr Electric 10-24-2004, 08:49 PM SUNDAY THE 7TH! b4wizard 10-25-2004, 08:56 AM Two weeks, I'm pretty sure I'll be there the way the schedule looks now. So whats the surface like. Hard, soft, red clay, top soil, or what. Is it a gas track, will electric be ok to. mclake 10-25-2004, 10:27 AM Tommy we are going to run both gas and electric, I have not run the electric on it yet but will this week. I belive that its going to be ok for both. Michael Gotjuice? 10-25-2004, 11:50 AM The surface is a mixture of clay, sand and top soil. Electrics will fly just like the nitros. Tony Rules will be up soon about some of the classes. Slider 10-25-2004, 04:40 PM Surely can't be roar rules, for gas class. To many different engine combinations out today.May take a few classes in the gas.Heck let's just put V-8's in em. junkman0815 10-25-2004, 06:11 PM lets go all the way blown super charged stroked out v-12 Slider 10-25-2004, 06:31 PM I hear ya Junkman. You had TC strokin yestiddy. Yea scotts got way to much H.P.In LST.need to put a restictor plate in that bad boy. New Track looks awsome ya'll. B.A. Sanders 10-25-2004, 07:48 PM Has anyone run an electric truck or buggy on it yet? Rufus 10-25-2004, 08:30 PM Is the monster truck class going to be split in any way or will all run together. In cullman the trucks are all different truggy to tmax and all run together and I got out run by a tmax, on an off road there really is no definite advantage. Also more is better. See ya Ryan Mr Electric 10-25-2004, 09:06 PM I haven't yet Brent. Can't wait to try it though! Mr Electric 10-25-2004, 09:11 PM Lake, what you doing Sat.? left turner 10-25-2004, 09:12 PM hey scott, went by today and still had some water in the turn before the triple and after the first hair pin jump. we may need to bring some shovels and add just a little more dirt in those two spots. Mr Electric 10-25-2004, 09:16 PM Yeah, i know it's gonna take some work. I may try to go up Sat. but it will probably be Sunday (if i can keep everyone off it for a while). I still have a few ideas before the 7th. left turner 10-25-2004, 09:19 PM i was thinking maybe a washboard somewhere by the crossover jump tgburnett 10-25-2004, 09:25 PM Been keeping up with goings on at Hobby Raceway. Congrats on the new track. Going to get by and take a look at it soon. Might even dust off something and come play if there ever is a single event scheduled. Anyone besides me thought that posts for an off road track, racing and such might not belong in an OVAL TRACK DISCUSSION board? Perhaps someone should start a new topic in the OFF ROAD DISCUSSION board! It won't be quite as convienient but then Hank might appreciate keeping the topics focused. Just thinking.... left turner 10-25-2004, 09:27 PM its a reeeeeaaalll crooked oval, with a couple of speed bumps.(wonder if they sell mudgrips for my nascar?) B.A. Sanders 10-25-2004, 10:14 PM hey scott, went by today and still had some water in the turn before the triple and after the first hair pin jump. we may need to bring some shovels and add just a little more dirt in those two spots. Yeah, I was worried about that. When Scott had me scrape back 6 more feet I got that corner cut a little too low. I was going to bring some back in but with all the fast building I forgot. I wander if we could do some kind of french drain if adding dirt doesn't work. Just thinking out loud. Also I like the idea of a washboard myself. b4wizard 10-25-2004, 10:59 PM Hey Scott, Where's the pics. I've heard no one say anything about a drivers stand, is it done to. O yea, there is another thread in the off-road section. Tommy machobbies 10-25-2004, 11:40 PM tommy, the drivers stand is done to b4wizard 10-26-2004, 12:23 AM cool, man ya'll are on the ball. thats great Tommy Slider 10-26-2004, 08:51 AM Tgburnett.
