We are out there for fun but it does get competitive. I injoy Racing with Everyone, but relly the only reason i liked it when jonathin was there is because he brought his Women with him and i liked looken at that. So i dont care if jonathen comes back. Tony B.A. Sanders 09-30-2004, 01:44 PM Tony, what about the weekend after the above? Will it be both again or crete? I may have to work that weedend above. Brent Gotjuice? 09-30-2004, 02:50 PM Both, dont want to make the dirt guys to mad at me. Tony B.A. Sanders 09-30-2004, 03:45 PM You are a good man Tony  Mr Electric 10-01-2004, 08:47 AM Guys were putting in a new offroad track at Hobby Raceway. We need fill dirt to cover the asphalt on road. If you have access to dirt or a way to load and haul dirt, please let us know. We need the dirt first, that's the hold up. Scott 233-3003 B.A. Sanders 10-01-2004, 09:53 AM Hey Scott (and Tony), I just talked to my father-in-law. He said we could use his back hoe (need donations for diesel fuel). Also we have a supply of red dirt here at our shop, I would like you or Tony to come out and look at it first to see if it would work, it's left over from jobs we've done. Also my uncle-in-law has a hydraulic dump trailer( I'll have to wait a day or two when he get's in to verify) Our office is in Brookwood. I'll donate my time, but the next week or so is extremely busy. Maybe we can work something out. We'll see also what other people have to say. Brent Mr Electric 10-01-2004, 10:21 AM As long as the dirt is free of debris it should be OK. We have some options of where to get the dirt, just no way of hauling alot at one time. Were 99% sure we have a tractor for spreading it out. I have had 2 flatbed loads dumped already, but it may take awhile for me to get more, and it will take ALOT more. B.A. Sanders 10-01-2004, 10:29 AM Scott, I went out back and looked through it. It has some gravel mixed here and there(a big no, no!). I forgot that my uncle-in-law has used alot of it for fill at his shop. So most all the clean is gone. There's alot of construction going on over here I my can hook up with some more. Slider 10-01-2004, 04:01 PM Make it a BIIIIIIIGGG TRACK!!!!!!!!!! Mr Electric 10-01-2004, 05:03 PM It will cover the on road and maybe then some. That's why we need alot of dirt, takes many cubic yards to cover a 100 X 50 slab! Slider 10-01-2004, 05:57 PM Mr Electric. You reckon P.A.R.A might help out.Just a Thought. B.A. Sanders 10-01-2004, 08:02 PM Scott, how thick of a cover are you looking for? Are you going to cover first and then come back with extra dirt for obstacles? Mr Electric 10-01-2004, 09:37 PM Was thinking around 4 inches, and yes, then building up the obstacles. I was able to get another 2 loads out there today, probably around 15 cubic yards so far, gonna needWe are also gonna need that at least 3 more times. We are also going to need some corrogated pipe for the edging. There's a little at the track I think, but we need between 500 and 600 feet. b4wizard 10-01-2004, 10:40 PM So your going to build an off-road. Sounds good to me. Just remember not to make it to technical at first, it easily is discouraging to new comers. But with off-road all the hot batteries and motors can actually hurt more at first. Until people get the hang of it. I seen in some of the other post, I think Sanders said he had some red clay, if you could get that it would be awesome. Hard packed and possible blue groove. cool and lightning fast. Like running on concrete. Hooked I'm glad your thinking 50X100, especially with gas around, any thing less is way to small. A 100ft. straight is cutting it close. Some tracks have 300ft straights. Just let me know with the progress. If I lived closer, I'd help. Tommy  left turner 10-02-2004, 12:28 AM good drag racing tonight. Phillip was haulin a** 63+ MPH. Lot of new people there and good crowd watching at times. junkman0815 10-02-2004, 02:00 PM i wasnt haulin a** more like batteries more to come so be prepared special thanks to all who helped me in person and on the phone thanks again B.A. Sanders 10-02-2004, 03:27 PM Scott, where are you getting the dirt from? Is there something to load with all the time? Mr Electric 10-02-2004, 08:33 PM From work. Its being done for me as a favor when work permits. The pile sorta varies at times. Not sure they could take the time or have enough dirt at one time to load a big truck. There's 4 piles out at the track now and man it doesn't look like much. Slowly but surely! GILYHANTREE 10-04-2004, 10:40 AM tony and all bama racers check out thread for rush and sons money race oct 16 tony looks like we may come check out the track at ttown soon slider said the track has good bite now left turner 10-04-2004, 07:12 PM hey slider, remeber the phrase "sh*t it and git it". well that about sums it up.only thing , i made a 2100mah 5 cell reciever pack for it,and need to swap out the stock steering servo. sounds like a savage running. vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2012, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
