Dennis: I would assume they run caps up there? How far from Ricks? I need to get some practice on caps seeing that I have none lol. How big is the driveline so I can figure out how many extra plates and axels to bring?

Can the 1/10 scales be seen easily from the stand, the track looks huge!

Do then run 1/10 nitro pan cars? I would kill to try that out this summer!

The cars can be seen good, cap 3L, 1R narrow (lr) for BSR is use three greens and orange net rf some were using other compounds. Stay away from black or dark blue car colors blends too much into track, turn two gets shaddy around 1-2pm. Tire diameter don't change much so gearing stays pretty much the same depend on motor turn/wind that ranged from 124 to 128 spurs, 28-33 pinions.
I believe the rollout was somewhere between 1.88 to 2.05 which probably isn't right for the Pt and D6s.

O.K, this is the dates that are available for a oval race in Pemboke...July 10th,17th,24th,31th----August 7th,14th,21th.those are the dates..The dirt track will be racing on Friday nights and I think that we would beable to practice on Friday and when the dirt program starts we will have to stop, unless we can come up with something...We could have two classes 19 turn and Mod...I need some ideas.Dave B,will be at the track and I heard that he would run the computer for us...

What about making a couple of Saturdays for racing and then decide that we can have a big race??? This will give some people a chance to practice...Because I would like to get a couple of races planed for this summer...

I haven't raced on this track for a few years and I can say that when I did I had the best time ever..So lets get something going..

Hey Dennis, I found your thread. If Dave Bruno won't be there on the 10th I may be able to help. I could come down and run the computer for you. That way you can race yourself. Let me know if you need my help.

MobileMikeV

Dennis: what program is it that they run there? I know how to use AlyCat and could easily use any other program i am sure, we could split it up between a few people so we can all race.

They were whites, silver-old style (Jaco) for rear, fronts purples, or red (rf). I think we even tried blue rears, blue (lf) blue/orange (rf) but get worn after 2-3 runs.
Start out neutral with radials, add a little tweak with foams or try run a stagger setup.
I think in stock, probably 19turn you could get away with foams for modified radials was the only way to run that track. I believe if we had ran it longer and on a weekly basis you could have used four different compounds on each axle.

06-30-2004, 12:41 PM
Bud if u want to try foams I would try 4 purples or 3 purples and a pink left rear. As far as caps go u should be able to run a whole season on 1 set of tires. I ran the last summer there on 1 set of tires, and that included a couple of mid week practice sessions. Mike

Would have liked to be able to attend the first race, several things (my luck lately) have been happening this past month. Mother in law's health has gotten bad and having to help out is leaving little time for other things, hope I can at least make it up for a couple of races once things get better.

Hi Dennis,

What's up? Glad to see 1/10 electric racing back. Will you be running 6 or 4 cell. Last time I was up we used 6 cell.

Also, what class will you run? Open mod (what winds ??) or 19 turn (ARCOR???)?

Thanks,
Antonio

MobileMikeV

dennis: we can use a boom across the track and put the wire in that. The ones I am familiar with are very simple. It is possible to make it work in time

Give me a call: 401-573-4000
