I'd help donate by racing! Or on the weekends. It's just to hard for me to come down during the week.

If the new tower could be moved and the poles with the lights at the off road area now be moved it would help out some. Then folks could park over there. Take the extra dirt from over there and use it to help build up that low area.

That's cool Ryan. I have a friend that just got a XXXNT and needs some fuel.
I was going to get Bill to mix some for him. I should know the next day or two
for sure if he wants it.

Bill Vail, if you see this DON'T mix anything yet until I talk to him. I'll let you know.
If he does we'll get together on the pick up.

Thanks, Brent

bill, percentages is your fuel? nitro, and oil, content, new motor an it said at least 16 on oil.I don't believe in secrets....

My standard car fuel is 25% nitro, 2% Castor, and 8% synthetic for a total oil content of 10%. I run into your question a lot and always wince a little. While your instruction say 16% oil do they say what type of oil? Usually they only say something like "a good quaility oil with some castor". I have mixed fuels with up to 30% oil and they do not run well at all. Very though to needle and the engine runs very hot or not at all. Also, If you manufactured engines and warrentied them, wouldn't you say over oil me? Really, think about it. If I made engines I'd say use 20% oil. Looking at it from a fuel mixers point of view, wouldn't you mix more oil even if it doesn't run very good? Think about it from my point of view as a fuel mixer. If I go to the track tonight and someone's engine breaks a rod what should I tell them? Engines fail and it is very easy to blame the fuel. Every night go to the track I hear someone running their engine extreemly lean and know it won't last long running that way no matter what fuel they use or how much oil it has. I feel like asking them to switch to BlueThunder.

I always say I don't SELL fuel... I do make a little on it but it's really more of a favor to my friends and local hobbiers. With that said the next part may sound like a sales pitch. It's just that I think folks want to know what they are running.

To any and everyone... If you are uncomfortable with any of this, please run some other fuel. I sell the same fuel I started mixing for myself. I'm proud that and folks that have tried my fuel seem to like it. I'm always open to comment.

Nitro... Here is what the folks I buy nitro from have to say...

"We uses a proprietary Nitromethane which is the highest quality of Nitro available with a purity rating of greater than 99.95%. This is the HIGHEST purity rating in the industry! No other fuel company uses a Nitromethane of our purity, NONE! Lesser grades of Nitromethane are available at 99.7% and below, but we chooses not to use them. The lesser quality Nitro contains other Nitroparafins such as Nitroethane, Nitropropane and II-Nitropropane (a known carcinagen). Our Nitromethane is the ONLY Nitromethane to contain NO II-Nitropropane. Other companies claim to have a high quality Nitromethane but they won’t comment when you ask them the purity percentages and II Nitropropane contamination. If a company claims to use a purer Nitro than we do, then they are misleading you."

Well lets see.....
3 buggies, 2 gas trucks, 2 monster trucks, not a computer in sight. All people from out of town, track was in good enough shape to race on because we stayed there untill 9:30-10:00 racing on it. Tell me again why we didn't race when Donald said a couple weeks ago we would race unless it was raining. Infield wasn't as muddy as it was a few weeks ago. You could walk on it. So what's up with that.

jones
11-22-2004, 11:46 AM
yup, We had some good racing. The gas trucks where hooked-up. Buggies ran just as good. We just had to use a timer. I had alot of fun. Like Tommy said I don't understand why we didn't race. Even when we where told that we will be racing every weekend as long as it isn't raining. Track wasn't wet.

I am just not understanding what is going on!

I wonder what the lap times would be?
Brent that is a very interesting question and one I've spent some time thinking about. It seems clear to me that it would not be in the 5.5 to 6.5 second range that we now run. I think it'd be a good bit slower. That suggests to me that there is a "right" size for a vehicel. Not Mini-T and not ATV... Somewhere inbetween. Right now the best lap times are the 1/10 scale G-Trucks. Their laps times, week in and week out, are a good bit faster than anything else. They are runing consistent 5.6s and nothing else is in the 5's. Could that be it? Maybe a purpose built Maxx size oval racer? Maybe 1/8 scale buggy? My money is on a 1/8 scale buggy with foam tires, an outlaw wing, and 100 weight shock oil. We'd have to build a cage around the track!

Ryan.. I wish you would have developed that 1/10 4wd G-Truck a little more before selling it. I think that had the potential to set the track's fastest lap. (Even if it was totally illegal!:p)

Like Ryan suggested, it'd be a bitch to pass though and sometimes that counts for more than lap time... especially in the monster class.

Maybe we should have a WWF rumble class. ANYTHING goes. NO rules. Robot wars and racing in one class!
