What do we get for winning, bragging rights for a week. You screwed everyone in the class. Thanks. Someday we'll return the favor. jones 10-20-2004, 09:33 AM You have thrown me for a loop! b4wizard 10-20-2004, 09:33 AM I see how you are are now! that's cool. You said it first... jones 10-20-2004, 09:35 AM Tommy, you won the race! I didn't count. You should have known that. I went to the man after the race and made sure he seen I was not stock so he could void the record. You win with 37 something laps. jones 10-20-2004, 09:36 AM Oh well I have got to get to work. We can finish this some other time. b4wizard 10-20-2004, 09:36 AM That is not the point. STOCK b4wizard 10-20-2004, 09:39 AM Let me tell you something, know how your always picking little things to get me rowled up........GOTCHA Later,LOL Tommy mclake 10-20-2004, 10:00 AM Yall two had me going there for a while, but I must say all you turned with a 13 turn was 38-39. Man I could turned that with a stocker. lol Lake jones 10-20-2004, 10:22 AM Ya that's all I could muster! I didn't have a clue what type of gearing to put on it! I think I went 81/27 I think it was to high. I just wanted to run it! Tommy, look out! jones 10-20-2004, 10:23 AM Stock I run 81/27-81/30 I just tried what I was running on the stock motors. Rainey 10-20-2004, 12:23 PM I think it was just a fun thing to get the post count back up and over the number of posts that the Ala thread has!! jones 10-20-2004, 01:23 PM LOL! It's all about having fun and not going broke doing it! b4wizard 10-21-2004, 09:39 AM Sure is quite in here, ain't it jones. haha jones 10-21-2004, 10:38 AM yup!!! Mr Electric 10-21-2004, 10:42 AM Its bad when you can only gloat about how many post you have. You know they reset ours back to zero a couple months ago because there were to many pages. Anyway, we hope to have alot done Sat. on the new offroad. It's 100' by 72' with 12' lanes. Theres a couple draft on our page. We'll let ya'll know when the first race is, Hopefully in Nov. jones 10-21-2004, 10:50 AM You ran everyone off! So is there or is there not going to be racing this weekend? Well, I'm going to Br this weekend the wife is taging along this time. Anyone else interested! jones 10-21-2004, 10:52 AM True we have nothing else to brag about besides haveing one of the if not the coolest dirt oval in the southeast! Mr Electric 10-21-2004, 10:57 AM But that is not what the gloating was about and the oval thing could be argued. jones 10-21-2004, 11:32 AM Ya but why argue? Rainey 10-21-2004, 12:24 PM Hey Electric Jackson tried that jump-over thing and it was fun for about......... 3 minutes. There were 2 major problems. 1) if you didnt hit it right you would end up landing in the lower lane and could mess up someone elses run. 2) with the width of the lane below you had to really launch you buggy/truck and if you didnt hit the landing right it was "snap". Had alot of broken arms and such and everyone finally had enough and knocked it down. Now, I am not sayig that it won't work. Only telling what happened over here. With the broad range of skill levels, some had no problems and others had major problems to the point where they quit coming out to race. With the new layout we have without the jump-over... people are coming back to race. Good luck with whatever is decieded on and i'm sure we will come over some and run with you. Mr Electric 10-21-2004, 01:03 PM Thanks for the info. I appreciate it. jones 10-21-2004, 02:09 PM But jump overs are cool! Mr Electric 10-21-2004, 02:21 PM Yes they are! Rainey 10-21-2004, 05:28 PM Yeah, I agree... but some couldn't handle it and it caused problems for others. Not trying to talk anyone out of it... just passing on what Jackson ran into. It may work for you're track! jones 10-21-2004, 05:40 PM wass up jones 10-21-2004, 05:41 PM ustilnogoonbr b4wizard 10-21-2004, 05:43 PM Mr.Electric, The lane jumps have to pretty much be a no brainer. To close to a turn, might not have enough acceleration to get over for some folks. And then again you don't wan't one in the middle of the straight either. Most of the ones I've seen were about 10 to 15 feet coming out of a turn. But the lane jumps do give you more room for track. They are cool. Tommy  jones 10-21-2004, 05:45 PM hopefuly I will be able to tell everyone how the Br track is now after this weekend. tommyubstinkn b4wizard 10-21-2004, 05:46 PM urunningmod? jones 10-21-2004, 05:48 PM uthinkibcraze it as thought though. I might do it just to get yelled at! b4wizard 10-21-2004, 05:49 PM modarmstockcan b4wizard 10-21-2004, 05:50 PM From what I got out of the wifey today, we're going to Jackson and I'm dropping her and the chillin at her sisters. Then I'm going to smallcars. jones 10-21-2004, 05:50 PM No way! You know I don't cheat! Hey call me! b4wizard 10-21-2004, 05:53 PM Its NO fun if you have to cheat to compete or win. No glory in that. Me or anyone..... jones 10-21-2004, 05:56 PM Cheat my butt. I bought all that stuff off the shelf just like any one else... Heck down there I could cheat and they would never know. Reason? They don't tech last! b4wizard 10-21-2004, 05:59 PM I mean what is accomplished by it. Anyone should know better. It seems more people try or think about it on oval. It doesn't come up very often in off-road. Tommy  b4wizard 10-21-2004, 07:17 PM Heck down there I could cheat and they would never know. Reason? They don't tech last! If someone was cheating and came in last, they need another hobby. And besides that there is not that much you can do to cheat. Nothing that wouldn't be obviuos(sp) to the trained eye. And I only know of two people there that really knows. Personally, If someone was caught cheating, they should have to skip a couple weeks racing. Which would be killer if we ran a series. I would like to think that when the races are over and I got outrun, it was because of setup. Not because someone ran a mod motor, bearings in the can, wrong arm in the can, or just anything thats not right. Big cars are one thing, r/c is something else. Tommy "DOWNWITHCHEATERS" Banes. Ralph Walters 10-21-2004, 08:17 PM Hmm, this is getting interesting. mclake 10-21-2004, 08:33 PM Hey Tommy on that cross over you have about 30 to 35 foot to get a running start. Michael Rufus 10-21-2004, 09:15 PM Hey I raced at the race in Culman this past weekend and the crossover that they had was low but was at the end of a straight away, so you cleared the lane with ease, but because it was at the end of the straight away you had to turn into it and get squared up, it was kinda tricky. Rainey is right you cant have a launch but you have to be able to clear the lane with ease, so you dont mess up anyone I say DO IT they are cool and fun, it just looks cool to see cars jumping over cars. but it must be low and smooth and most importantly dumby proof, so everyone can jump it with ease. That is what I think and good luck guys i really cant wait to come run on it. see ya Ryan Rainey 10-21-2004, 09:44 PM Hey Tommy!! print this and pic glue it to the back of your car!! http://216.77.188.54/coDataImages/p/Groups/28/28146/folders/58199/1278253tommybanestag.jpg Rufus 10-21-2004, 09:45 PM That has got to be one of the funniest things I have ever seen, Rainey that is great!!!!!!!!!!!! b4wizard 10-21-2004, 10:44 PM mclake, thats more than enough room. rainey, thats cool. how did you do it. jones, The last thing I'm going to say about this cheating subject is, it takes more effort to try to hide something like that than it does just to try to be fast. This has went on to long. Tommy. Rainey 10-22-2004, 08:37 AM http://www.acme.com/licensemaker/ pretty cool deal... can make tags and print them. you could print one and then use pic glue and put inside you're body before it's painted. http://216.77.188.54/coDataImages/p/Groups/28/28146/folders/58199/1278639JONESTAG.jpg they have different state also so the T-town boys are not left out http://216.77.188.54/coDataImages/p/Groups/28/28146/folders/58199/1278650juice.jpg Ralph Walters 10-22-2004, 08:45 AM Man, I like that!!! jones 10-22-2004, 09:02 AM Rainey, I like that! Tommy, You know I don't cheat. Heck I remember one time when we where running 19 turn all of ya'll thought I was running my 8 turn so yall went and put ya'll 13 turn in. Still couldn't stay with the 19. It was just a good motor. I still don't think ya'll believed me. (It wasn't a offical race that night I don't think) Any way your correct this has recieved way to much attention. Let's get off of it shall we! jones 10-22-2004, 09:04 AM Any way is there going to be racing tonight? besides! Why are ya'll always trying to put a brother down? When ever I finally find the right motor someone thinks it's a hot motor? Don't worry I'll be ooooooooookkkkkkkkk. I might be able to come back from Br with a new little motor! b4wizard 10-22-2004, 09:14 AM Sorry, not just to be meant for you, I know you don't cheat, but with anyone that thinks of it should be thinking of other things. There's water on the infield, more than last week. vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2012, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
