Rainey 10-10-2004, 11:07 PM Rufus... I think you are talking about david Castle. I don't know him that well nor do i know how to get in touch with him. You may ask someone at the SCU store if they know how to get in touch with him or Terry may know. Terry is working some afternoons at Hobbytown.
sorry I couldnt be more help.
Tommy... you got to Red Stick and if so, how did it go? They have a new track layout?
Mark
Rufus 10-10-2004, 11:24 PM Rainey thanks for your help. I will give them a call tomo. I am just looking for some one with a kanaii to tell me kinda what extra parts I need may be a little set up options some things you know from running a certain brand, nothing comes from the factory perfect.
b4wizard 10-11-2004, 12:51 AM Rufus,
Check your pm's
Rainey,
I didn't get to go to Redstick. All the guys around here that I asked had honey-do's. I decided not to go with all the rain in the area. I didn't know they had a tropical storm in the Gulf that was in the process of coming ashore. I got an e-mail from Redstick that the track change took place after Saturday's races. They say the new track is going to be tough. I really need to go down there though. Maybe in a couple weeks. Maybe I can get a couple guys from here and you can get a couple guys from Jackson to go show them how its done.lol
Tommy
jones 10-11-2004, 01:26 PM Tommy, Yard sale went pretty good. I didn't make enough to help me out though! We are going to have to get togather and head down to BR. I think the T-town folks would get a kick out of it.
Ryan, If you still have electric truck you ought to go down and run in the mod class. They allow brushless in mod class. I think you would have a ball.
Rufus 10-11-2004, 04:37 PM I have a mod, stock and brushless, and I am going to go as soon as I have a Sat off where I can go.
jones 10-12-2004, 08:50 AM Ok guys. Are we going to race this weekend? So far it looks clear for friday.
b4wizard 10-12-2004, 09:09 AM Its just Tuesday, ask that Thursday afternoon.
Bradley call me last night wanting to know the same thing.
A lot can happen in a week.
But more importantly, who's going to work the track to race on?
jones 10-12-2004, 12:07 PM Ok to further indepth my question. If we race this weekend is everyone that was planning on coming this past weekend going to be able to make it for this weekend. So far the weather looks like it is going to be good for racing.
There, was that better? Than again it might be to soon for anyone to know at this time like you said.
Gotjuice? 10-12-2004, 12:53 PM Jones I'm going to henderson Tenn. to run nascar. So I want be there.
Juice?
mclake 10-12-2004, 01:05 PM Hey Jones you going to load up and come over to Tuscaloosa Sunday and race with us.
Lake
jones 10-12-2004, 01:46 PM It's hard for me to make it over there on Sunday. Church don't get out until 12:15 then it takes me around 50-60 min to get to Meridian. Then it takes around 1-1/2 or more to get to T-town. Then it being a Sunday night I feel like I would be getting home to late.
I'd like to but since ya'll moved it to Sunday's I can't. I liked ya'lls track. It had alot of room to play around on with other drivers.
Update on rim: I got a rim back in the mail today. Just one rim! No letter or anything! Oh well. Now I can glue my tire back on and go do it again.
b4wizard 10-12-2004, 08:53 PM Yep, Sunday is a bad deal for me to. Like watching NASCAR or doing something with the wifey(more important). If she ain't happy, nobody is. Has business picked up since the move to Sunday?
I went by the track today, can you say rutty, washed out, water standing on infield. So much for drainage. Its a mess. If it was able to be worked should be good this Friday with the low tempatures we are supposed to have this week. But just have to see what goes on. Think they are calling for more rain by Friday.
Tommy
jones 10-13-2004, 08:49 AM Last I saw they were calling out a chance of rain for Thursday. Oh well maybe we will maybe we won't.
Tommy! Don't start talking a bout the temp. Pretty soon they won't want to come out in anything less than 50. I was hopeing that would just slide by and no one would notice the temp slowly droping every Friday. It's fine with me, even if we have to put snow tires on!
b4wizard 10-13-2004, 09:41 AM I've been there when someone set the track on fire to thaw it out. That was wanting to race BAD. But now people are wiser hopefully. You know what happens when its below 50. And batteries don't like it, or mine don't seem to.
Just because your part polar bear, some aren't.
Tommy
jones 10-13-2004, 10:45 AM Welll I guess your statement might have some merit. Althought I have lost a 100 lbs so the cold does get to me a little quicker than normal now days! I'm still at 300 though. Anyway, I guess that means we will just have to drive further when it's cold. Just think of the folks up north. Do they all have indoor tracks or do they race no matter what the temp?
Note: 300lbs of pure muscle. Just got a small cover over it. I did use to be a power lifter. I remember back then!?!?!!?!? Bench press 400, Squat 825 at one point. Ahh yes the old days. All true I have records. You know me and my records! :) LOL
b4wizard 10-13-2004, 05:55 PM josh,
Have you looked at Redsticks website lately. New track photos are up. You know them.......airtime.
Tommy
jones 10-14-2004, 09:00 AM Tommy,
jones 10-14-2004, 09:02 AM Tommy,
We have to go now! Those jumps look crazy! When are we going? When can you go? Who else is interested? That's sick dude!
jones 10-14-2004, 09:03 AM Here is a link for anyone else. www.redstickraceway.com/
jones 10-14-2004, 09:09 AM Tommy, check out the far corner where we normally sit. Look at all of that cool stuff. It's like rolling hills! I bet that table top is wicked! Also check out the other corner of the track. I looks like it has a banked, long sweeping turn.
Rainey 10-14-2004, 09:47 AM I may have to go check that out! Look at the jump in this pic!! Talk about getting some "air-time"!

Mark
jones 10-14-2004, 10:11 AM When we first started going down there they had a jump pretty much like that one and the mod 4wd buggies where scraping the ceiling. Only problem is, the landing! Your buggy or truck sounds like it is going to break in half. I have got to go soon!
jones 10-14-2004, 05:49 PM It's supose to be sunny and in the 70 tomorrow! What do ya'll think? Is there going to be any racing or not?
Patriot Racing 10-14-2004, 05:56 PM Clint said he would work the track tomorrow afternoon.
Pearce
jones 10-15-2004, 11:53 AM That's good. I might try and get my monster truck running. I have to put my electronics back in it and glue my tire back togather.
b4wizard 10-16-2004, 11:49 PM Rufus,
How did it go?
Rufus 10-17-2004, 11:22 PM great, it was a lot of fun, The racing was awesome. Finished 2nd in mod e truck, and 3rd in outlaw monster truck.

Lake
Rufus 10-18-2004, 09:57 PM What time are yall going to start on Sat. I highly recomend yall consider the gas to run a little while atleast 15 minutes, it just gives you time to get settled in, and it is alot of fun.
Rainey 10-18-2004, 10:28 PM Mclake.... glad so see that you all are putting in an off -road course. That little trip over for the regionals must have been more fun for ya'll than we thought!
B4.... you TOLD everyone that there was more to dirt than oval!! LOL Just don't forget how to head west to J-town! Terry and Bates were talking about going to Redstick to check out the new track.... may have to get them to go east and check out T-town! :D
Mark
b4wizard 10-18-2004, 11:10 PM Mclake,
Are you saying the track will be ready this Saturday. What time will the races start? Dang, that means some of ya'll will be at the park all weekend. As long as ya'll stay on Saturday, I'm good to go.
Rainey,
I would really like to go soon to Redstick. I have driven to Jackson and meet up with them and all jumped into one car and went before. May have to do it again. But let me know if ya'll or they decide to go. I never would have thought that I would have the choice of deciding which of three off-road tracks to go to. Man thats great.
Tommy
Rufus 10-19-2004, 12:11 AM I am so glad to see all of the racing and tracks being opened, I have got to find away to get more sat. off.
mclake 10-19-2004, 08:54 AM Hey Ryan the track it still under construction, really just getting started. We are going to have a work day this Sat. and hopefully we can get the general layout MAYBE started, its still going to be a little while.
Lake
jones 10-19-2004, 11:12 AM B4! I see how you are going to be!? LOL "In a sad voice" I thought we were a team!
LOL just decide when you want to go. Try to before the day before! Casey also wants to go.
b4wizard 10-19-2004, 10:31 PM Jones,
I hope your satisfied now. For someone who was always saying they didn't car about track records, you sure showed them Friday night. Congratulations, you finally turned 39 laps. To bad you sold the Kranzel, might have been 40. You showed everyone in the class what you thought about racing with them.
So what was it. You wanted the single lap record or the track record or both. So what do you feel you accomplished. Can you sleep at night now. Its things like that, that kill the competition. You didn't hear some or any of the things people said and never will. You were to busy gloating. But then again thats why you did it. Because you felt someone else had. We all went down to run stock(buggy guys) and have a good time, then someone has to put a 13turn to get a track record in a stock class. WOW! You da man. That doesn't say much for your motor building skills. Does it. "In a sad voice"
After thinking about it, I know why you did it. You knew you would have got "SMOKED" if you didn't.LOL
"Team". Do you honestly think I would tell you everything.LOL
Why don't I just drive your car to.
jones 10-20-2004, 09:02 AM See, that's what I was scared of. That's why I asked everyone before I ran the 13 turn. I asked everyone but crusier "sorry crusier" no one said they had a problem with it! So it don't hurt my feelings none! I asked you if it was alright if I ran the 13 turn because I had never ran it on an oval and wanted to see what type of time it would put down. This had nothing to do with TRACK RECORDS... I only turneed 38 something laps. I thought if I asked everyone before I ran and NO one said they had a problem with it. SO, don't get on this board and say stuff you NO ain't true. Everyone could have said, Josh we don't want to you to run it, we have a problem with it. I didn't hit no one or get in anyones way. I thought we where all haveing a good time that's the only reason why I done it. Everyone else started up the deal about track record. This truely stinks. Some folks can't tell the truth.
If any of the other buggy racers would have said no don't do it I wouldn't have done it. I'm going to say I'm sorry to the buggy guy's. Because I should have known someone would have done this. Sad man truely sad.
jones 10-20-2004, 09:11 AM Ya you where fast that night. But I wasn't thinking nothing about who was fastest or none of that. I was just having a good time and wanted to get a time on my new 13x2. I never could have gotten a time on it. True I could have done it in the heats but I never thought about it. I was just trying thing's out. Started with a monster then a p2k2 then an green machine then a mod. I was just having a good time everyone else seemed like they was too.
I hate it everyone thinks I gloat all the time! I don't think I do. Heck what do I have to gloat about? I'm having to sell other stuff just to be able to come out and play! Do you think I really want to hear stuff like this when I could be saving that money? Truely sad.
Hey and if anyone is going to quote me out of this make sure you get it right! i don't want to hear something misscombobulated. Write it down, get it right if you are going to spreed rummers! LOL
Motor building skills what skills? All I do "write this down" is take the motor apart, take wheel polish a a Q-tip and polish the bushings then make sure it is shimmed correctly. then when ever I am around someone with a lathe i ask them if they will turn it for me. True at times when I have enough motors of the same type I will go through them a messure them and fit the largest armature in the smallest can. I have been meaning to get a hood alighnment tool.
b4wizard 10-20-2004, 09:14 AM You asked people before the night even started if they wanted to run 19 turn they said no. Then to heats later you ask if you could run a 13 turn. I know it was in when you asked me about it.
Say you only ran 38 something. O man, that truely "SAD".
b4wizard 10-20-2004, 09:16 AM I don't spread rumors, remember I was there.
And I don't say nothing here that I won't say to you.
jones 10-20-2004, 09:20 AM Well atleast get it right
I don't know why you are being this way. But if that's how you want to be that's fine with me!
I also like using endero brushes
jones 10-20-2004, 09:22 AM That's a lie! If that's so you would have said something that night. Instead of acting like you yourself was cheating.
b4wizard 10-20-2004, 09:23 AM I don't need to know your motor building skills, remember you was the one changing all the motors every heat.
b4wizard 10-20-2004, 09:24 AM I wasn't acting like I was cheating, just wouldn't tell you what you wanted to know. I think the gas guys should run with the buggies just so they could see the difference in the speed.
jones 10-20-2004, 09:25 AM Your point being?
I already said I was playing around that night not worried about No records! Just having fun.
jones 10-20-2004, 09:26 AM I see how you are are now! that's cool.
Looks like if I want to Rc race I better just go to the track with tape over my mouth and a ready to run buggy! Because someone is going to say something about what I do. That would be fine if it was a good thing. But it never is a good thing! LOL
