Yes I said I want a gas truck.LOL See ya Tony b4wizard 10-02-2004, 05:51 PM Thanks Ralph for the info. Ralph Walters 10-02-2004, 06:16 PM no prob bro. left turner 10-03-2004, 12:32 PM what all classes do yall run? might ride over with tony one weekend. wjvail 10-03-2004, 10:27 PM what all classes do yall run? might ride over with tony one weekend.Well the quick and dirty... And Tony can give you the real scoop... Usaully 4 classes a night with 3 qualifiers and a main. Racing starts about 7:30 and ends around 11:00 (give or take). -ROAR stock buggy. To include Kranzels (sp?). Re-Read the ROAR stock part. - 1/10 scale gas truck. We allow roar "outlaw" motors. Trucks must comply with ROAR off road specs (ie no foam tires). We also allow .15 pull start motors since that's what most RTR's ship with. Wings are allowed. 5 min heats races. - a "MAXX class". Mostly ready to run Monster trucks... Like HPI, T/E-Maxx, LOSI LST and Associated BFTs. Fairly loose rules but mostly a RTR class. - 1/10 scale brushless truck. Fairly strict rules. You have to run a box stock truck but can run any ROAR legal brushed motor OR the NOVAK SS5800 burshless setup. No after martket parts allowed on the trucks. 4 min qualifiers and if there are only brushless trucks entered, we run a 6 min main. And finally the catch all, 3 cars make a class. Period. If you want to run Mini-T's and there are 3 of 'em, they'll run. Did I get it about right? Bill Vail jones 10-04-2004, 09:04 AM Ralph and Rainey thank's for the info. I'm going to try to have it fixed before the classic. Tony, had a good night of racing. I finished first then casey, tony or brian. Tony what happened to you? You put down three killer laps 5.5,5.7 and a 5.3. I was waiting for you to come flying by me! Casey would have won if I made a mistake because he stayed 10-15 feet behide me. I was only able to muster my same ole 37 with 4.04. Great night of racing thought. b4wizard 10-04-2004, 11:23 PM Hmmmmmmm.... Even at 5.8 seconds/lap thats a 41 lap pace. (I'd be willing to pay to see that) What turn motor was it. I know how fast Scott was with 38 laps,(stock) he ran 6.1's, 6.2's. I guess we'll have to start tearing down motors. May have to call out the Track Police. Kinda fishy would run that fast and not finish the race, must have felt quilty. Took it off the track and wasn't broke....hmmmm And I thought Tony was all about the track records. or so I'm told.lol Rufus, You go to Cullman. What happened. Rufus 10-04-2004, 11:45 PM i dont know what tony has in that thing but i do know that I have never seen an electric buggy that fast through the turns, no i didnt go. I got my motor today, I am going to run some off road just didnt have it ready, I am probly gonna go to there extreme race in two weeks. b4wizard 10-04-2004, 11:56 PM Cool. Have you messed with your new truck,buggy-truggy or whatever 8th scale? The one that they say is illegal. You should hop over to Jackson one weekend before heading to a big race, just to test and see how things hold up. There's usually 4 or 5 over there. Rufus 10-05-2004, 12:30 AM I have been working on it all night, it is about 2 hours from rock and roll. I am ready, this thing turned into a month and a half project. Gotjuice? 10-05-2004, 05:58 AM B4, The 5.7 was probably real but the 5.5 and 5.3 I think donald hit the lap button due to I missed a lap by running on the bottom. As far as what am I running it is a Monster with a killer battery pack and a car that will turn on a dime. Ask Donald how his truck is now. Jones the motor went south. When I got home and dynoed it, it was a paper weight. The motor fell off very bad. Scott turned 37 with a 4:02. I turned 38 with a 4:04(TR)LOL Tommy when you beat 38 give me a call and I'll up it again. Tony jones 10-05-2004, 08:06 AM Ryan, what kind of truggy is yours? The Hotbodies truggy looks pretty cool. What kind of engine did you end up going with? Like Tommy said you ought to go over to jackson before you go to any big races. So you will know what parts you will need to take with you. Also learn how it flys through the air. They spend alot of time in the air! Just trying to be helpful. jones 10-05-2004, 08:12 AM Gotjuice, Scott turned a 37 w/ 4.000.9 Ya'll T-town folks are just fast! I don't know how to go any faster. I guess I'll just have to get in your way! LOL :) I can't seem to muster up anything better. You own a Dyno!!! shuck's b4wizard 10-05-2004, 09:11 AM Tony, I doesn't make any difference to me if you turn 1 or a 100 laps. But you know whats right and whats not. I didn't have to spend mega bucks to outrun buggies.lol Which is what your racing against. So where's yours. As for the 38 laps, you should be there this weekend if thats what you want. Tommy jones 10-05-2004, 09:35 AM It's on like a chicken wing this weekend! I've been rubbing my motor! LOL I put some more stickers on my car! I'm good for atleast 2/10 a lap now! Rufus 10-05-2004, 10:02 AM It is a kyosho kanai 2 with a jt conversion and a werks picco 26 outlaw motor. The lightning is pretty sharp I saw one last week. They said over in Cullman one of the locals got one and has been tearing everybody up. I dont know what the outcome of the races this past weekend was. They were closed yesterday. I am going to call in a little bit to see how the monster trucks did compared to the truggies. jones 10-05-2004, 10:10 AM It sounds like you have been looking at offroad racing. Are you going to try and go to the Clasic in Jackson in November. Rufus 10-05-2004, 10:14 AM I am thinking about it, if I do I will run stock e truck and monster. jones 10-05-2004, 11:56 AM How hard would it be to turn your truggy back into a buggy if you wanted to run in the 1/8 scale buggy class? Or are you going to run your truggy in the monster class if they allow it? It don't matter to me I just might would find out what ed say's. Rufus 10-05-2004, 12:29 PM I can run truggy in the monster truck class every where, except here I guess, though I am not sure, I have not talked to Pearce, It is a little bit to changing it back although I could do it in a few hours. Monster truck is actually unlimited according to roar, anything with a motor bigger than a fifteen is actually considered unlimited, Now production on the other hand is as is out of the box bone stock, you, Pearce,JJs tmax, Lances Savage all of yall are actually unlimited. If you look through all the magazines there are alot of places running them all together and the monster trucks are not only holding there ground they are out running truggies at some of the major races. I didnt build it to be faster, My LST is fast, the truggy is much more reliable and dependable, alot less moving parts and they are much better built. jones 10-05-2004, 12:47 PM Cool, Then it ought to do well then. Can't wait to see it run. :) Rufus 10-05-2004, 12:50 PM Most importantly I DID NOT build a truggy to hurt the monster truck class in Meridian If people/Pearce has a problem with me running I WILL NOT. I highly support our track and in no way would try to kill a class. I love to race and if people think that I have an unfair advantage no problem, I would like to run it one time to see the comparision . Mr Electric 10-05-2004, 12:50 PM Should there be a buggy record and a Kranzel record? Two different beast! :D jones 10-05-2004, 12:53 PM Does a truggy have a tran's in it? Rufus 10-05-2004, 12:53 PM Josh have you still got your Kranzel? jones 10-05-2004, 12:54 PM Got rid of it. I'm down to just a B4 and monster gt. Got rid of all of my B3 and Kranzel stuff last Friday. I needed a charger. Got a B4 and 3 set's of tires and Spring's and 4 racing motors. Rufus 10-05-2004, 12:55 PM It has a center diff just like a 1/8 scale buggy with planatery gears in it. Inside the diff are 6 gears and you can control the way they move by how thick the oil is. Rufus 10-05-2004, 12:57 PM I saw your new hardcore parts in the hobby shop they are killer, I already have a couple of hardcore parts on my truggy they build some nice stuff!! jones 10-05-2004, 12:59 PM It ought to hold up better like you said! I might be jealous if you don't break any parts. LOL Although the guy that won last time didn't break the first thing. Me and JJD4 were fixing thing's after every race! jones 10-05-2004, 01:02 PM Ya, I need to find the money so I can get them. I have some screws striped and I am going to need it. I couldn't turn last time. It might also help me shed some weight off the truck! jones 10-05-2004, 01:07 PM If I can just find some tires too! I'm out of play money. I'm trying to sell anything extra I have to get what I need! For sell: Car stereo equipment two Kicker L7 eights, Kicker 5 channel amp 2 sets of coaxle speakers and kenwood cd player. Kenwood home stereo with Pioneer home speakers. Ummmmmmmmm. jones 10-05-2004, 01:12 PM Mr electric: I don't want to sound like a looser, but I think it should be two diffrent classes. Me and Tommy have ran close to a Kranzel before BUT when a Kranzel is on there is no beating it. Two different machines. It might weigh alittle more than a buggy but it is alot faster. Rufus 10-05-2004, 01:12 PM I heard yall talking about wheels the other day and I will tell you what I did knock on wood that is the only thing I have not had a problem with, I bought some sport max wheels and mounted t max proline bowties on them and so far they have worked GREAT. I was reading and noticed alot of off road guys were running traxxas wheels. jones 10-05-2004, 01:15 PM Mrelectric I think you done pretty good for a buggy to run what you ran. I'm going to try this week and get my buggy ready to try and run 38 laps but I doubt I do. I'm shooting in the dark. I don't have a lathe so I can't make my motors like I like. Rufus: I'm going to try the tmaxx plastic hexes when my wheels get back from RPM and see if that works. I hope I get my rim back this week or the next jones 10-05-2004, 01:41 PM Rufus: If you say that a truggy is in the same class as a monster truck then I have no problem with it. I don't mind racing with a Kranzel but it might not should hold the records for a buggy class though. BUT I'm like a banna I'm just hanging with the bunch. Gotjuice? 10-05-2004, 01:53 PM Mr Electric I need to borrow a BUGGY to go to Meridian and run 39 laps and shut everyone up for once and for all about the track record. Oh and I don't cheat but I can turn left(FAST). Tony(I'll beat you with your own stuff)Brothers jones 10-05-2004, 02:15 PM What ever! you couldn't run 39 laps if you had a rocket tied to a buggy! LOL I'd like to see this! I'm joking as a friend but I don't see it. jones 10-05-2004, 02:21 PM I'm word less Mr Electric 10-05-2004, 02:30 PM Not trying to make ya mad Tony. You know better than that. I just don't think a Kranzel is in the same class with a stock buggy, a Kranzel is anything but stock. If you can take a buggy and turn that kind of laps, GREAT, gives me something to shoot for, but trying to compete with a Kranzel can be quite frustrating. I wouldn't mind at all getting beat by the same kind of car everyone else was driving. Gotjuice? 10-05-2004, 03:33 PM that's cool. The only time a Kranzel has a advatage is on a slick track. But yes they are different beast. You know me I don't get mad I just turn left faster.lol Let me know when I can get that B4. Need to get everything setup on it for Friday night. Tony jones 10-05-2004, 03:41 PM Should we add that someone should tech the top three cars! Just so no one can say any one is cheating. Let's say it now so it's fair to everyone. No surprises! Gotjuice? 10-05-2004, 05:24 PM That's cool with me. Mr Electric 10-05-2004, 06:01 PM I know for a fact that Tony doesn't have a problem with a Tech. He's a straight shooter that can build a heck of a motor. STRAIGHT UP! I'll bring the B4 to work tomorrow and give you a call about picking it up. junkman0815 10-05-2004, 08:10 PM you know that instead of thinking its not fair just remember that if there is enough on the track for a class he probably going to have to drive and you really dont want that to happen tony ive got your b3 if you want it also since the rules have started what width and length buggy can you run in sippi left turner 10-05-2004, 10:28 PM i just got a 1/8 buggy, can i convert it to a truggy and run with yall? couldnt get the straight of it. jones 10-05-2004, 10:32 PM Mrelectric you not going to run? I just think tech should happen every weekend. Just so there isn't any guessing or thinking. Junkman: The more folks on the track the more fun! Rufus 10-05-2004, 11:19 PM 1/8 scale conversions have not been an issue yet, I built one to primarily run off road, I do not know if they will be able to run yet, we just need to have a discussion on the issue. Pearce is the one who makes the final decision, he is the man. I would like to run mine here but I do not want to hurt the monster truck class by running one. The class has a lot of new guys and I want them to think the class is fare to them most of all. I think monster trucks are evolving now and moving forward from a backyard basher, They are going to get faster lighter and more nimble. If a truggy goes out and wins every weekend and all the monster truck guys get mad and we end up with 2 truggies at the track every weekend ,we did not accomplish anything, so that is what I dont want to happen. But I do think more and more in every class is more fun. b4wizard 10-06-2004, 12:07 AM Mr Electric I need to borrow a BUGGY to go to Meridian and run 39 laps and shut everyone up for once and for all about the track record. You still harping on that.lol Your the one (only one) chasing the record (that Scott owns). I've never seen a trophy that said "TRACK RECORD". What are they good for. I didn't know it was that important to you.lol You might need to take a break, your to serious about playing in the dirt. Tommy  Gotjuice? 10-06-2004, 06:14 AM Tommy are you going to show up Friday Night are be a no show again.LOL I've been over 4 times lately and where were you?LOL It doesn't matter if I come over there to win or beat track records at least I do come over and support the Hobby. 1 1/2 hour trip and you live where?LOL Oh ya I do help everybody try to learn more about this hobby when I'm over there also.LOL I just hope everyone is there when the TTown beast is set loose in Meridian.LOL Have a nice day TTOWNTONY Slider 10-06-2004, 08:59 AM Well I must Chime in on this One.First of all I believe having fun is #1. But In every sport the objective is to Break a record. Football, baseball.Hockey R/C Vehicles Etc. it is the nature of Man and women to be the best as they can be. This is what set's goals to excell at whatever we do.Well I can do better than that. That is cooooollll. This is why it is called Racing, you are there to have Fun Beat your competitour.and History speaks volumes.I want the new track record. vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2012, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
