the guy who did the dozer work really knows his stuff. Rodger Rolison, we owe the speed to him and Pearce for having the work done.

gas trucks are running 5.5 to 5.8 lap times consistantly with the fastest lap of 5.2.
if you remember when you where here last. 5.8 was the fastest with averages of 6.0 to 6.4.

It doesnt have a third, But it is in second the whole time. I changed the steering servos, there arent any gears yet and I could probly use another tooth. Nobody has anything against buggy class as far as I know, no one has even said anything bad about it, Yall think of too much stuff that as far as I know ant even true, they dont run gas in BR and I just got my electric truck I would like to get use to it first. I dont understand where yall get all the theories yall come up with, Yall dont like water on the track, I THINK I GET THE PICTURE, like everyone is against buggy, If yall run great, if not i dont care, I dont run the class so I really dont care what yall do with it, but I do believe the argueing and bickering over classes that people dont run is stupid and really makes no sense. I also think that it has something to do with track turn out. We have a great track that a man pays for us to run on, and he hasnt even been racing none, he does all of that so we will have some place to race and yall degrade the track! That is what makes me mad, run the class you like and enjoy it.
were I want to go and race. If buggy end's up dieing out that's fine. It's been shot at enough It should have been dead ages ago. I have no money tied into the track so you are correct ya'll can do what you want.

who is doing anything with the track. please explain what you mean.

I hate that AE always comes out with thier stuff first then Losi comes out last and just betters it's product. Allthough I don't see why ae didn't put a larger engine than a .21 when hpi had a .26 out. I wish they would bring over the .70 mgt from europe, althought it's more of a rock crawler. I think it would be good comp for us although I get tired of folks trying to say my truck has always been slow.(one person mainly)

I do not think that we need two stock classes, I like modified always have. I like the speed and just the fact of runnig the bad motors. That little kid could not set up a stock motor neither. But his dad could put a brushless in it and never touch it again. I understand that going out of town is fun, I have to work on sat or I wwould go, I had already made plans this past sat. I know that driving my e truck on the oval does not make me a better driver, but i have not had an ele car in 6 years, there is a lot of diff in the way they handle and drive all I was saying is I want to get use to the ele a little more before I go off. I have told you I dont know how many times, no i do not have an oval buggy, I will race off road, I was also racing that when that is all we had. All I am saying is I dont need a track that teaches me how to turn an electric car, I can do that pretty well. I would like an off road that my LST can smack a triple on. We dont have the room so I would rather run oval here. I can run whatever I want and have fun.

Josh as far as your truck goes bring it and lets race, I have wanted to race you really bad, expecially after you said that the monster truck class had no comp. Now I have my truck I would like some action.

on post #557 i did, find one before that, show me, anyone.

my point was until then i wasnt even talking about his truck.
but yet he says i said his truck was slow on post #553.
i wasnt trying to start anything with him. but i felt he was wrongfully accusing me. thats why i said it.

NINJAZX7

its simple guys, we can race where we want. if any one wants to race oval, then come friday night. if you want to race elsewhere then race there.
i'm not going to let anything anyone says determine where i race, or not race. i don't expect anything i say to anyone determine weather the come and race oval in meridian, or go some where esle and race offroad.
we dont have to agree on everthing to race at the same track.

553 comes before 557,

he accused me of saying something that at that time, i had not said. read his post again, he didnt say clint, but put 2 and 2 togther, im the only one who has talked about monster trucks on this thread. like i said check any of my preivous post. it upset me cause i had'nt said anything until then about him or his Mgt.

QUOTE=b4wizard]Let me stop right now. I don't have a truck and at this rate will not. So, whatever happens in this class does not concern me anymore.
As for the buggies if they are running something I don't like, I'll pack my stuff and go home or somewhere else to race. I getting tired of all the BS that's going on anyway.
nobody has to run a brushless to race in the class. this is not the first time it has been said. as it is right now there is no motor limit for a brushed motor in the class. all the discussion in the past was nothing more than that, discussion.
the main goal is that everyone has equal power in the class. or as close to it as possible. that is what the class is all about.:)
i think what brought the discussion on in the first place was when the guys from T-town came over with whatever it was they had in their trucks. everyone there turned it in to a did you see that, the brushless got smoked, kinda thing.

then people get upset when we talk about putting a limit on brushed. the main goal is that everyone has equal power in the class. or as close to it as possible.
if we wanted a really haul butt class there is no need to run brushed, and brushless together. we could have all just ran modifed brushed motors. and saved money and headaches.

http://roarracing.com/rules/index.htm

So that there is no confusion and before this gets out of hand.... The only burshless motor/speed control legal in Meridian right now is (and has always been) the Novak SS5800. There are a lot of numbers in the ROAR rule as it is right now. Restricting the class to this motor setup does a lot to help the racing. A few would be:
- it makes life very much easier to tech the class. Getting a pin readout on brushless sensor wires is not possible for me right now. I don't feel the need to measure the physical dimentions of every motor.
- it makes it very much less expensive for racers to choose a motor/speed control. You won't be faced with investing 170+ dollars on a new Hacker/Averx/HiMax/ etc brushless motor ever other week. The Novak at 235.00 USD is a fantastic bargan.
- it makes the class more focused on diving and setup skills and less focused on power and technology. With this rule you can be sure that if you win, it wasn't because you over powered/over spent the rest of the field. If you don't win you can be sure that it will not cost you anything more that a bottle of shock oil or springs and some practice to get faster.

when i started we had stock buggy or mod buggy and stock truck or mod truck and for along time time thats all we had
and i relly doint rember a whole lot fo fussin
so this is real eazy you guys with brushless/mod motor run your class and the people that wount to run stock truck run a stock class and everybody wins ok
i relly dont think the big "P" would have prob. whith it if he does im sure he would tell us
see i told yall it was eazy

Another rule change worth noting is that turbo plugs are now legal in ALL ROAR .12 through .21 engines. To be clear, in Meridian we run ROAR .12 OPEN engines in 1/10 scale gas trucks. In the past some have had questions about gas truck motor rules. That has always surprised me but now there should be no doubt.

http://roarracing.com/rules/pdfs/2004rules.pdf See page 35.

I've never understood ROARs decission to outlaw turbo plugs. In the past we have ignored this rule and I'm very glad to see this rule change. With that said, I've been able to run consistent 5.5s with a non-turbo motor.

6-3: Fuels will contain only methanol, nitromethane, and a lubricant. The following additives are

specifically prohibited: hydrazine, hydrogen peroxide, propolene oxide, and toluene. Old fuel, not

stored in the original container, can become unstable and should not be used.

Since I mix a fair bit of fuel for the Meridian racers I'd like to say that the fuel I mix for the cars complies with the above ROAR rule. You can run the fuel at any ROAR event. Specifically, it does NOT contain any of the above listed prohibited additives. I do mix some of the above (ususally propolene oxide) in other fuel blends but not the car fuel.

If my fuel is stored in an sealed plastic jug or metal can it will keep for 15+ years. While I'm not willing to say the above note about fuel becoming unstable is not true, I will say that folks should feel comfortable about using fuel that has been properly stored even if MANY years old.

An open note... And a question....

In general, it is considered bad manners to change the substance of a post. It is considered OK to make spelling corrections or typing/grammer corrections. If there is a clear factual error in a post or idea you'd like to reconsider, it is better to correct it in a later post so that others can better follow the entire thread. I don't know what to say about entirely deleating 10s of post from a 20+ page thread.

Would this be a good time to start a Mississippi Racers Thread Two? This one is a little hard to follow now. In fact, it's pretty well gutted.

I am going to go to the track Fri day night and if everyone is through getting there pannies in a wad and would like to show up and race, I plan on having a good time and just seeing how fast I can go, I would really like to race against some people, It is normally alot more fun when there is more than 1 or 2 on the track. So if everyone is through and would just like to race I would be happy to race against you either I am going to win or lose but I will have fun either way and if any one would like to come and run brushless/modified come on the class is a blast.
