I absolutely had a blast. I am not against off road by no means actually enjoy it alot. We do not have an off road that gas is very fun on and that is my favorite. Cullman is 40 miles above birmingham. There were not any electric cars there. They mostly run gas. The 1/8 scale buggies are just plain awesome. If I did not have to work on sat than I would buy one just to run up there. I had so much fun my LST is just awesome on the off road. They had a big tripple and a couple of doubles with a few singles. The guys that were there were alot of fun to hang out with. It was a couple of others practicing.

When do they race. Do they have lights.

I think if I bought one it would have to be the 1/8 scale buggy.
I just can't get use to those big A$$ wheels. :jest:

While I'm thinking about it, do you have ROAR membership? You know they are having the Regional off-road race in Sept. in Jackson. I'm sure there will be monster trucks there. You might want to attend. Don't know how long the mains will be. Usually 30 minutes.

They race on sat around 1 or 2 and no lights. I plan to go back up and run monster trucks 1 day.

Just got back from the farm, the last count I heard was 280, there was at least 125 just in 1/8 alone. The track was awesome as always. They ran a good program, ifmar qual, gate start.......I hate those things! The trophies were made of steel, skull and cross bones, they looked unreal!! I qualed 6th in the c main in buggy and finished 3rd. Alot of hacking was happening, everybody was fast you just have to have alot of good luck on your side to do well. Qualed 5th in the b in gas truck, got alittle out of shape coming off the bridge and the left frt A arm said the hell with it and snaped. It really did'nt land that bad, I guess it had a bad arm, and it was brand new!
The next big race will be at boggy creek in Orlando Fl, expect about 200 racers, some time in november. I'll repost the dates of big events in this area if any of you gas guys want to come.

Electric touring car, pan car, off-road or what. I think thats all. But probally the biggest is TC or Off-road buggy or truck. Its $10 bucks and I think $7 more for additional classes. On Sat. and I believe they start at 5pm. You can call @ 601-372-FAST. Their website is www.smallcarsunlimited.com
Hope this helps.
And they may require ROAR membership, so I would call first if you don't have it.
They have or had 4 tracks they run on one night.

I was looking at another forum and read about Smallcars was broke into Saturday night. This is the second time its happened lately. No word on what the thieves took, but I would imagine it was RTR kits. So he would probally be thankful if he has good showing of racers. He didn't need that with the upcoming races he has.

jjdu4: You've got mail

Tommy, yes it is true. Ed got broken into again Fri . They made off with some kits, RTR and u-builds, from what the Tv said. He was broken into Wed nite also. The good thing is they took measures to catch the robbers. (SMILE!... you're on candid camera!) I havn't talked to anyone but I believe things are still a go for the State on-road races the 31st. (i don't see why they wouldn't and all of you need to come and race...even the 'Bama boys  )
link to news report http://www.wlbt.com/Global/story.asp?S=2061005&nav=1L7tOy7K

As for the weekly races... $10 for 1st class, $7.50 for each additional. We have been starting the races at 3:00 for the summer. Ed has 4 tracks currently running... on-road (TC and 1/12), Oval, Electric dirt and Nitro dirt. They made some changes to the electric track so with a few moves of piping.. a flat oval can be run. (some interest has picked up with 1/10 sprint cars)

I hope they catch the little thieves. If he makes the parents pay for damage, the parents will think more about where their little punk A kids are at.

Good News! The parents of the 2 teens saw them on TV when they showed the tape of them breaking in. They turned the kids in Tues evening. Also, the police recovered all of the stole stuff.

Roger Rolison is doing the dirt work. He has alot more experience with this than Chuck Watson. Nothing against Chuck, but since Roger use to do the dirt work at Whynot, I feel he can do a better job.

RYAN AND RALPH,

Started looking at my truck. Found one flywheel pin backed out and
pressure line from pipe shoved all the way in. Haven't had time to do
a total tear down yet. What's ya'lls take?

BA, that will do it.
Tommy, sure you can run any can, arm, brush or winding. We all know its got nothing to due with power, besides who would tech it anyway? ROAR? :D Remember the days when we ran stock in the mod classes and cleaned their clocks!!

the off road should not be for electric only, and what do you think would be the ideal size for an off road, to acomadate all classes.

well the oval track (the only one that matters) is done. we got alittle more banking in the turns and lowered BOTH straights, don't argue i was there and watched the work get done.

i think the new plans are to move the driver stand down closer to the off road due to the fact we are going to take in the offroad and make it part of the oval.

Tommy why do you even care, you sit there and talk, talk, talk and dont even want to run oval, so why do worry about all of these things that supposedly you dont care about. You sure do have a lot to say about a track you said that you would not be running at anytime soon. Did you ever think about just having fun instead of starting controversy.
