View Full Version : Looking for Medina, Ohio track?
bshields 07-20-2004, 10:58 AM thanks bshields...
i knew i would want an expo setting. correct me if i am wrong, but you use this to kind of tame acceleration??? i know it changes the way that the contrller sends the trottle signal, but in reality its used to delay the burst???
matt
I don't use expo on the throttle or the steering for that matter (steering sometimes onroad). I just set the speedos punch control (Quantum PC 4) and leave it.
You can do it though to soften up the initial response when pulling the trigger. Basically it just changes the throttle curve from linear to a curve of your choice (more or less initial response). I just never use it.
pmelchman 07-20-2004, 11:54 AM hello guys, I was wondering what tires they are running on the Medina track for 1/8 buggy? and also just want to pass along the track I was racing at in OKC.
www.actionrc.com (http://www.actionrc.com)
this is one the biggest tracks I've seen in a very long time. They are a great bunch of guys down there in OKC. The hobby shop has just about every part you could think of...by the way it's a nitro track only...too big for electric
bshields 07-22-2004, 10:22 AM Hey Bshields YGM :dude:
Tim,

CoffeyBean1477 07-29-2004, 04:23 AM Hello i live in fayette county ohio and am looking for a track that races 1/10 scale electric cars somewhere around me. If someone knows of a track please tell me.thanks
Mames 08-01-2004, 11:34 PM well the track is being rebuilt as we think. do not know about layout, but the main thing was to relevel/drain the track, relocated start finish line, and plum water in groung so hoses would not be laying everywhere. i had heard some one say they would use the begining of this season as a layout, but who knows.
also alot of talk about getting lights in the parking lot and a transformer to use to get ride of all the generators. but that may be next year before that could be done?? who knows.. sounds like the this could be a step in the right direction.
matt
kohouty 08-03-2004, 07:02 AM We have a new track. I will try to have some pic posted soon.
About electric I am talking to ohio edison. I am going over the citys head.
Water is going in as we think. 2" line under ground.

If you are racing, please let me know the times & directions on how to get there. I would like to get there when the track opens and leave within a few hours (Kitchen passes expire):freak: .

HookupsXXX4 01-10-2005, 01:10 AM Hey Guys,
It looks like there ain't much going on with this thread. Well, it is a new year, and spring is just around the corner, so we better start talking about racing! See, I was at Medina, during the 2003 summer season, when Mr. Bill ran it. From what I hear that he is not doing anything with the track, Medina Hobby is on Saturday nights. I just need to know, what is the electric situation out at the track? I hear that they are get power out there for the pit areas. I really can't wait! I have been runnig 12th scale for 2 years, so from what I hear, I should be ready for off-road for a 3rd or 4th time!!! Oh, when does the season start, and will there be a points run?
Thanks,
Jerry
P.S. If any of you don't know who I am, I use to pit with ole Buddy. I am just putting this up to see if Zach and Steve come to this thread. If you do, hope to see you at Medina this year.
Mames 01-14-2005, 01:04 AM well just another racer hear, so i dont have an idea about the start date but usaaly around early/mid april.
electric situation? yes the have a power box under the drivers stand bring some extension cords. or do you mean turn out of electric vehicles. pretty damm good trucks and buggys 4wd still have not been showing up, but thats normal i guess.
the have a novice call for beginers and the regular stock for the ready people.
that helps alot. heck they are runing monster trucks races also.
as for points series the do have them i do not know the lenght as that was being discussed at the last race and i think will be decieded on when it gets going.

matt
Mames 02-18-2005, 12:41 AM just thought i would bring this tread to the top and see if the has been anything set up yet??
matt
HookupsXXX4 02-21-2005, 05:43 PM I am also checking in to see if anyone has been around this thread. I am ready for some off roading! Getting ready to start heading to Columbus to start getting the truck ready.
Later,
Jerry
