HOYT USA 05-23-2005, 06:30 AM good seeing everyone, weather was perfect, already looking forward to next saturday, Brad. Jim Workman 05-23-2005, 06:57 AM Hey Brad, Who did what, what were the times, who looked fast? :dude: Jim grndhg13 05-23-2005, 10:15 AM How many have / are planning on getting brushless systems? I'm really interested in running one outside, and hoping to come up with something in the next couple of weeks (financial wise). Is it limited to the Novak 4300? other? or open to brushless class? The next two weekend are booked with camping trips, but I hope to make it down the second or third week in June. Ed. HOYT USA 05-24-2005, 11:32 AM Ed, there are a few running the 4300 in the rubber tire truck class and the bombers, i think there are a few that will be running pan cars with them too, Brad. grndhg13 05-24-2005, 11:55 AM Thanks Brad, All I have is the pan car. Was just wondering if anyone had them and how many. I have GP3300 batteries and stock motor. How many were there in this class? Thanks, Ed youngin11 05-24-2005, 01:42 PM Ed, there were 7 of us in the stock nascar class. Travis stesh 05-24-2005, 01:44 PM grndhd13 GP3300 batteries and stock motor is what they are running with pan cars, you will have plenty of car to race with! I got lucky and found a few sellouts for my caps on EBAY last week, so I finally have some tires to run without breaking the bank. Is there anything about the track most racers seem to be missing? (ex. loose, tight, hot motors, exessive tire wear, etc?) Just trying to get my car as ready as I can before I get to the track. I plan on going early to get in some practice as I haven't raced caps on the asphalt for about eleven years now. Hope to see everyne in a couple weeks! Ed jsrocket13 06-02-2005, 01:33 AM hey erock jimmy s here aint herd from y in long time saw u r runninr for rip email me if u r goin to jacks @jsimo137@aol.com erock1331 06-02-2005, 02:00 PM Jimmy Simons ?? jsrocket13 06-03-2005, 01:27 AM and 2 the winner goes a cookie erock1331 06-03-2005, 10:17 AM Jimmy I emailed you yesterday Holla back PanMan 06-05-2005, 09:21 PM HOYT USA - I went to Jack's yesterday but I guess you couldn't make it. I gave your caps to Jack and asked him to give them to you the next time he sees you. When you see Jack, ask him for your tires. I put them in a large zip lock bag with your name on it. He said he has your heat gun, too. Thanks for letting me try the caps. I appreciate the loan. Kevin stesh 06-06-2005, 10:28 AM Panman - Hey your bomber look real good sat. I hope I can get my bomber running that good. After fighting with it all day I was finely able to get it around the track. HOYT USA 06-06-2005, 11:36 AM Kevin ???? hhmmmmm, i raced a few times with a guy named Kevin from PA but it's been a while ago .............. just kidding, thought you had moved or something, not sure when i'll make it back up, i'm working next saturday, my wife and i have been to Motordrome a few times lately, i'll give you a call next time we come up, good to hear from you. Steve, i sent you a pm. PanMan 06-06-2005, 08:19 PM Brad - good to hear from you, too. I'll probably go to Jack's about once a month. They started a new class that I'm interested in - 4 cell stock with Spec batteries and foam tires. Everything else is the same as 4 cell stock (motors, bodies, etc.). They turned 44 laps and looked extremely evenly matched. This appears to be a fun class where you don't have to worry about the cap tires/touchy set-up issues. Just throw the car down and run it. My kind of racing. I haven't been to any local oval tracks yet this year. If you want to meet at Motordrome some Friday evening, give me a call earlier during the week. I can try to make it. I'm shooting for June 18 at Jennerstown. They're running the winged modifieds up there and those things are BALLISTIC! Quite a show! Steve - thanks for the kind words about my Bomber. The car felt very good. It certainly wasn't the fastest one out there but consistency wins races. It handled extremely well and I was fortunate to get the win. Your car looked very good in your main. Looks like it finally came around. I'm certain that you could give me a run for it. Too bad we weren't in any races together that evening. I enjoy racing with you. Maybe next time! Kevin Topstrap 06-07-2005, 11:29 PM Brad, put my brushless in my pro-truck to try it out, was not gonna run it but another racer brought a buggy and we decided to run them just for the heck of it.. Jim got my other replacement brushless in so I will have a spare....... If the weather holds out this coming weekend why don't you put that in your pro truck and we'll run them that way.. you'll like it, I did not have the next pinion I needed but was running a real consistant 47 laps and got it handling pretty good now... in your truck you'll prob hit 48 or more. Dennis erock1331 06-08-2005, 07:48 AM Congrats to Mr. And Mrs. Dusty Dean !! They had an 8lb baby girl last night. Topstrap 06-08-2005, 01:48 PM Congratz Dusty, glad all is well....... what class should we be expecting her to be running in? Dennis, Chris and Jake stesh 06-08-2005, 08:26 PM Congrats to Mr. And Mrs. Dusty Dean !! Jim Workman 06-08-2005, 10:49 PM Congratulations to the Deans!!!!!! HOYT USA 06-15-2005, 09:54 AM Ttttt Rick Liehr 06-16-2005, 07:17 AM There is nothing better than 2 fish sandwich's and a six pack.......but a baby girl !!!! Congrats goes out to all the Dean's Later, Rick Liehr grndhg13 06-16-2005, 03:20 PM They started a new class that I'm interested in - 4 cell stock with Spec batteries and foam tires. Everything else is the same as 4 cell stock (motors, bodies, etc.). They turned 44 laps and looked extremely evenly matched. This appears to be a fun class where you don't have to worry about the cap tires/touchy set-up issues. Just throw the car down and run it. My kind of racing. What kind of batteries are they requiring for spec, and any foam tire or spec foam tire? I just picked up a second chassis and hope to see everyone in two weeks. Ed PS. Congrats on the new addition Dusty. PanMan 06-16-2005, 08:54 PM grndhg13 - They're using the Trinity 4 cell spec pack from GP - regular Spec batteries. You can leave them in the shrink wrapped shotgun tube or break them out for side-by-side so that they fit in your chassis slots - your choice. You can use a connector or hard wire. You can use any foam tire - greens, blues, aquas, pinks, purples, spec foams, ...... anything but caps. Pretty simple rules. Promises to be a fun class. I hope this info helps. Kevin grndhg13 06-16-2005, 11:48 PM Thanks Kevin. Questions about bodies: (I'm assuming nascar style body). 1. Wings allowed or spoiler only? 2. Rear cutout or stay in? Thanks again.... I should be down in two weeks provided weather holds! stesh 06-17-2005, 01:24 PM grndhg13 yes to all of your questions Nascar body, wings and/or spoiler, rear cutout! Gene 06-19-2005, 03:31 PM Topstrap I send you an e-mail jsrocket13 06-19-2005, 11:07 PM trinity will rule the track again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! grndhg13 06-22-2005, 04:21 PM Man that track was fun... hard to figure out, but fun. I finally got a handle on the car by the time the Main rolled out, but I'm WAY down on power. Racing on packs that haven't been charged in over a month probably don't help much, but those guys just know how to make a motor FAST!! Maybe someday I'll figure it out. Maybe next time I make it down there I'll find some horsepower. Would love to try the brushless if a few more guys would run them. I'd recommend this track to ANYONE looking for a great place to race on Saturday night! Racing started promptly at 5 and was done at 10pm. Smooth program and FRIENDLY! jsrocket13 06-24-2005, 04:53 PM gona be making my first showing out there july 2nd wiht my new reflex 10ss would like to know whos gona be there let me konw PanMan 06-26-2005, 10:33 AM A fun day and night of racing yesterday at Jack's track. Conditions were extremely hot, but everyone ran well and had fun. Looking for a class to run? How about ............ Rookies Bombers - brushed and brushless Stock Stadium Truck 4 Cell Limited - Any chassis, stock motor, must use foams and Trinity Spec battery. 4 Cell 3300 - Any chassis, stock motor, any tire (most use caps), any battery up to 3300 mah. 4 Cell brushless - Any chassis, brushless motor, any tire, must use Trinity Spec battery Mini-T's There was even an airplane doing laps (OK, so he was 30 feet in the air but he was still doing laps!). Jack measured the track temperature in the afternoon and it was 150 degrees F! Smokin'! It was a scorcher but there was plenty of shade, cold water, pop, hot dogs, nachos and friendly conversation to go around. All in all, a really good time! HOYT USA - Jack thinks you've fallen off the face of the earth! You may want to give him a call to reassure him that you're still around. Thanks to Jack and Mrs. Jack for the fun! Those two work awfully hard for us racers! Kevin vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2012, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
