And does Jack now what classes he is going to run yet. And will you let me back on the lead lap this time I need all the help I can get!! Steve ACE 05-11-2005, 10:08 PM Anyone and everyone Steve...you know that....lol youngin11 05-11-2005, 10:37 PM stesh, it is the class that is replacing the 2400 class. there will be a stock brushed motor class and a brushless class. i think there will be 2 different truck classes bombers maybe in one class maybe 2 dependiong on what people want. if there is 2 cars he'll run it. and ill let u back on if u catch me. for some reason i just dont have any top end right now. it handles great though. hopefully i get it figured out by the time we start racing. the track is a lot different now. im running green L's on the left a green S on the right rear and a blue S on the right from with 100 wt oilin all the shocks and red springs on the front. travis erock1331 05-11-2005, 10:38 PM Dusty, dont tear anything up too bad this weekend, your stuff will need to be prime to compete next week at SCH....hehe... just stirrin the pot, Martin and Beero made me say it, so take it up with them.... The best Dusty Dean line, (ARCOR open 2005) DD: Man I came off light that round EH: What did you change? DD: I brushed the tire dust off my body Normally that wouldnt even be funny, but with Dusty saying it, there ya have it HOYT USA 05-12-2005, 06:27 PM how about battery tape holding your antenna to the body posts ........ ACE 05-12-2005, 07:27 PM Erock...the bad thing is it was true..that was the first time I cleaned the body in about 10 runs....be nice to me and I will let you stay on the same lap next weekend. I am running a hyperdrive 510 now.at least thats what i think it is...Got it from ebay for $60 and I ran the fastest I have ALL year with it at Y-city first week racing it... Hoyt..With 80% chance of rain I may stay home this weekend unless it is really nice out..hate to break my car running in the rain before I dominate the steel city race... Dusty Dean ACE 05-12-2005, 07:28 PM he's running the adx with a woods pod, There's a lap! all the laps in the world don't matter if you race with your brother BONZAI Beero 05-13-2005, 12:59 AM all the laps in the world don't matter if you race with your brother BONZAI LOL dusty don't try and hide it, I can see the family resemblance every time the both of you race at classic. You should help your less fortunite brother. lol erock1331 05-13-2005, 09:30 AM ...be nice to me and I will let you stay on the same lap next weekend. It's not me you gotta worry bout, Martin has been preparing for this race for 2 months now, LOL I am running a hyperdrive 510 now.at least thats what i think it is...Got it from eBay (http://www.dpbolvw.net/click-1606754-2202639)http://www.awltovhc.com/image-1606754-2202639 for $60 and I ran the fastest I have ALL year with it at Y-city first week racing it... hey that is a good car, i could see that happening.... any word on the Pro3 yet? I hear its a spawn of a KSG and CW car...if that's the case it's come a long way then from the Pro3 they had been running last year. erock1331 05-13-2005, 09:32 AM all the laps in the world don't matter if you race with your brother BONZAI Amen ! HOYT USA 05-15-2005, 09:32 AM well the rain really spoiled things, still had 26 cars and did get in one round, i took a few pictures and i'll try to get them posted later today, Brad. PanMan 05-15-2005, 10:41 AM Brad - Sorry I couldn't make it yesterday but I didn't want to drive 1 1/2 hours to get rained out. I'll get your tires back to you next week or so. Do you need them sooner? If you Private Message your address to me I could have UPS ship them to you. Let me know. Thanks. Kevin stesh 05-15-2005, 11:34 AM PanMan al come on I drove 2:15 min to play in the rain. Was hoping to see you again. No just kidding about the drive!!!!! I was cope up so long that I had to go somewhere. And the track was great. They told me that if I would have practice before last Wed. that I was wasting my time because of the sealer jack put on the first time was the wrong one but he has the right sealer now and the track is right on now. Hope to see you out there sometime. Gene 05-15-2005, 03:03 PM What is the rule on the Spur Gear in the Bomber Class. Do you have to run a 120 ? Topstrap 05-15-2005, 03:06 PM Track is super now, if it won't handle on this track now it must be missing a few wheels or be put together upside down....... truck classes look like they could be a nice size this year. Got a few different classes to pick from, stock rubber tire with any battery and 27 turn brush motor, stock rubber tire with stock brushless motor and any battery. We got a few that want to run Pro-truck with foams and any battery. Brad and myself have talked about maybe putting brushless in them if there is interest. Jack kinda left it up to us as to what we wanted and could get others to run in that class. There were also 2 monster trucks that ran modified brushless motors and they really did quite well getting around the track, they handled pretty decent and had good speed. Mini-T's are always popular, so far they have been stock but Jack always says that if 2 or more of a particular class show up he'll run it. A modified class would be interesting in mini-t. So if you got a truck, bring it on out, this banked asphalt track is really looking good this year...... Dennis Gene 05-15-2005, 06:12 PM Just picked up a used stock rubber tires Losi MF truck can someone give me some basic setups to get me started. Thanks HOYT USA 05-15-2005, 09:52 PM Kevin, good to see you on here, i was worried you were gonna take a break for a while, no hurry on the tires, i'll be at Jacks the next 2 saturdays, hope you can make it soon. Gene, not sure about stock truck set-up, my wife ran a RTR Losi XXXT box stock and did pretty well, if i were to change anything it would be a little heavier oil, the track has a LOT of grip. Steve, good seeing you, let's keep in touch and maybe we can ride up together saturday, Dennis, let's run the pro-trucks saturday, i think Dale has one to run too, Brad Topstrap 05-16-2005, 01:37 AM Like Brad said, seems to be real forgiving on about anything you set down on the track. His wife did a super job and her truck ran real well.... Most of us are running the Losi Red tires that have directional tread on them but I have not seen a difference whether they are facing forward or backward, not sure how the ribbed will do but the way everything is hooking up they may do fine.... I run 100 weight oil on my outside shocks and 80 on the inside.... I have all black springs on my stock truck but others run different, I think Brads wife's are all whatever came on it and it handled great. Some run the P2K2, others run Green Machine 3's, I like the Monster Stock in mine and my sons trucks. I'll pick up that other spectrum receiver this week Brad and have the Pro-truck ready to go. Look forward to running that one with ya... Dennis stesh 05-16-2005, 08:34 PM Gene some of us are running road hogs I think that is the name, Jim has them at his shop. Dale just bought a pair of the late week. Or so people just run old wore out pin spikes and then all you need is some difference springs and you should be set! stesh 05-17-2005, 01:58 PM HOYT USA I try to send a private Message grndhg13 05-17-2005, 10:19 PM Hey guys, if anyone's heading down from Columbus this summer I'd like to make the trip a few times this year anyway. I haven't raced that track since way back when it was dirt running at Lafferty and Lloydville on the weekends. I'm interested to see what a new Terminator Pro will do on the track. I have a Chevy Astro cargo van w/ 4 captains chairs and plenty of room and don't mind driving if you wanna save some miles. Email me at grndhg13@yahoo.com . Phone: 614-762-1092 Ed Conley Jr. erock1331 05-18-2005, 08:16 AM I haven't raced that track since way back when it was dirt running at Lafferty and Lloydville on the weekends. Ed Conley Jr. Ed Conley, man that name is familar, but I cant put a face with the name, I'll ask my buddy Rich Gatchel he remembers everybody, haha I used to race at Christman's and at Fulton's track as well for about 6-7 years, King Cabs, Kyosho Sideways, Buggies with the Wedge Bodies, you name it we raced it. Always a good time. Who was the kid that always ran a black nascar style body with silver trim at the bottom, his dad pitted for him.. I always thought that kid is gonna be a top notch R/C wheel Jimmy Zier, Mike Vensel, Derek Boyd, Stan Norek, Chad Zalinkski, I remember all those guys, they still race? Eric Hutkay grndhg13 05-18-2005, 09:30 AM Black w/ silver trim ... Corey Baker. I started w/ the Kyosho RAIDER (yeah, that's right, as cheap as cheap can get, but found a way to make it fast) and then got my Associated Team Car Graphite. I also raced Fulton's and Bridgeport in the Winters, Jack's and Christman's in the summers. I think it was '91 or '92 when Christman had his Firecracker 150 I missed all qualifying rounds the previous two weeks and showed up for the mains. Starting dead last w/ about 30 cars in the stock class, I came through the field and was winning the B-Main when my pinion gear cracked in half, ending the night. I helped Bobby Ollum setup his car (he was already locked in) and did his pit work for him that night. He ended up second behind Kawasaki in that race. Usually had a either a red or flourescent pink & white car, then bought a truck (white & green associated 10T). Back then I was driving a blue Ford Festiva. Ran LOTS of stock & A-Mains w/ Corey Baker, my brother (Corey Conley), Zier, James Kawasaki, Mike Moore, and others. Ran some pro-stock the last couple of years before moving to Columbus, but much harder to get in the main w/ guys like Fulton, Jack, Christman, Swallie, and the likes. Zier was about the only guy in stock that we couldn't keep up with, seemed he had the handle on the field no matter what we did, but the rest of us all put on some hellacious battles. I remember all those names, but don't see many of them anymore except for occasionally Stan Norek's name here and there, but then again, I've only run Y-City about three or four times in the last four years. I bought some new equipment this year and hoping to get back into the flow again. I need to get some caps .. Any suggestions on where to start before I buy them? erock1331 05-18-2005, 09:40 AM Corey Baker, yep I remember that name now. I remember, Kawasaki (he just started when I got out of it), Mike Moore (he had all the cool equipment). the one guy him and his dad used to race and the boy quit and started working as a car stereo guy at Look N Listen in Wheeling. He was a pretty cool dude. Rob I think his name was. You are right Zier was unstoppable. At Laffety him and I were in the A main of the Sideways sprint car class. I remember me getting underneath him in the first turn, he bobbled a bit and we stayed about 4 foot apart with me winning...that was the only time ever I beat him. haha I think he would be a heck of a pan car racer. Speaking of the Firecracker races at Fulton's, I had a brand new JRXT. Jim gave me 2 packs to run. Needless to say I hit lap 150 and won and the guy in 2nd place had 122 laps. His packs were unreal compared to my 1200mah's I had at the time. LOL Talk to Dusty Dean about what you need for Jacks. I have only ran their once and I was on blue and greens and they worked but they put down new sealer this year so hard to say what is gonna work. grndhg13 05-18-2005, 12:45 PM I think I'm gonna start w/ just the basic blue's and green's everyone seems to like there. A tight budget is gonna keep me pretty conservative for a while on selection. Only question I have before ordering them is: Does everyone use the narrow or standard (wide) rears? I was thinking of the narrow wheels being less spin weight on the motor, but not sure if the trade-off on traction would be a good idea? From reading this sounds like the new sealer has lots of bite and may be the way to go. Dusty? Erok? Anybody? Any and all help/charity GRACIOUSLY accepted! :D  ACE 05-18-2005, 01:22 PM the safest bet if you want ONLY 4 tires and they will work great are: Green.L.pro-lite front Blue.S.NET front Green.L.narrow rear Green.S.wide.NET.rear grndhg13 05-18-2005, 02:36 PM Thanks Dusty. If I decide to get one or two extra tires for changing temps, would you suggest the RR (blue wide net for warmer track?), or other? Which would be the best choices? (RR, LR, RF, LF???) Thanks, Ed ACE 05-18-2005, 03:20 PM There really is no "best" when it comes to caps..You can set the car up to handle with any tire combo.. Yeah a blue wide net s would be a good extra..also I like a R on the right rear when it is hot..like a pink R wide net...... HOYT...you gonna be there this saturday...the weather is looking nice erock1331 05-18-2005, 04:10 PM HOYT...you gonna be there this saturday...the weather is looking nice Homer must be scrrred to come run with the big dawgs at SCH. hehe HOYT USA 05-18-2005, 06:04 PM Dusty, i'll be there, probably about noon or so, Shawn ran Sunday, 52 4:01, track has great bite, i ran a battery saturday and could put it right on the bottem, weather looks great for saturday, 75, now who would want to be in on the carpet on a nice summer day ?????? hey Eric, hope you can make to Jacks a few times this summer, Brad. ACE 05-18-2005, 08:13 PM Homer..ok Mr. banked carpet...lol...I am not in the mood to be all competitive...I just wanna have fun...you know how serious i get at big races...... Brad...I will be there at 11 then so I can get the cool spot..... erock1331 05-19-2005, 10:35 AM Dusty... Nah I know you make the circuit...just bustin balls...you gotta give me some credit too though, I dont know many that ran all 3 nationals this year like I did. And heck I even threw in some flat tracks too here and there, haha. Andy's the one....I had to hear how pumped up he was for Akron (no-show), then Halo (no-show), and then now for SCH (and now he isnt goin). hehe I just needed to redeem myself for the butt whoopin they laid on me at Platinum and now I wont get the chance. Oh well I will have to try and lay it down on your brother MR. "SCH Track record" Obrien. Brad, You got a point about racing indoors with this nice weather. But you know how Ohio is the forcast can be 75 and sunny and low and behold here comes the rain out of nowhere. whoops didnt want to jinx ya...Classic has been rained out the last 3 out of 4 weeks and is closed this weekend, so sometimes making plans for a big indoor race is a safe bet, LOL Also I have to take advantage of a big race with good competition within 2 hrs I gotta make it. Plus the thrill of a new track is cool too. As far as making it to Jack's , not sure, I am not gonna have much time this summer..Right now I have 3 weddings to attend and 3 concerts that I have tickets for all that plus it looks like I will be moving sometime between July-Sept. No time for anything..ugh HOYT USA 05-19-2005, 10:36 AM Dusty, i've got a new ez-up so we'll be in the shade, i took some pictures at Jacks and had them put on disk, how do i post the pictures on here ??? erock1331 05-19-2005, 10:41 AM Dusty, i've got a new ez-up so we'll be in the shade, i took some pictures at Jacks and had them put on disk, how do i post the pictures on here ??? Brad The pics can only be like 45kb max. Which most digital pics are bigger than that. What I do is open the picture up in Paint (which comes on every PC) To Open Paint, go to Start --> Accesories --> Paint Open the picture Then click on Image --> Stretch/Skew Change Horizontal and Verticle to like 50-60% range. This way the picture only shrinks and does not distort. Then do a Save As, jpeg format. This should get you under the 45kb limit. Then in hobbytalk go do a post reply advanced. And you will see a thing down at the bottom that says manage attachments. Click browse and find the picture file you saved and click, upload and you should get it. If you have problems email the pics to me at eric.hutkay@beldenblake.com and I can post em for ya. erock1331 05-19-2005, 11:52 AM the one guy him and his dad used to race and the boy quit and started working as a car stereo guy at Look N Listen in Wheeling. ACE 05-19-2005, 04:36 PM EROCK..you won't have no problem taking of O'brienoHoy..Ley him know the mains are run on Sunday...he may not know again....was it Billy Jeremy?? Ron's brother??
