I~m planning on working on the BIG Track this weekend. I cant race on Monday`s no more, besides I`m sick of turning, I want some actual straightaway, you know where u can actually get some speed. Prolly why I like flying because I can handle the speed.

As for the sit home comment, I dunno about u, but um I have other things more important than racing little cars. I have my semister to finish, and that comes first, thats why I havent been doing nothing. My semister ends this week, I had all intentions of dragging the track sometime this week, but maybe since u think I havent done enough maybe its in your best interest to do it yourself.

I'm only KIDDING :>) you big sensitive thing you.

Please call me tomorrow anytime 727-3456 and lets coordinate by actually communicating. It works much better than a BB.

Looks like you really do need that semEster, concentrating on spelling those big words. And while I'm on the topic, it's haven't been doing ANYTHING. If you say nothing then it's a double negative. Sorry, I can't help myself.

But in all seriousness, let me know when you're planning on working on the track and if I can go up and help I will.

Mani i went and got that wedge body last year and never painted it. 4wd mod sounds like fun... It wont be the losi though,190mm tc3 with 30 mm tires should work nicely.
Ahh when i have time to paint and swop electronics around. I feel Al's pain so much to do so little time!
Hopefully some time soon i see ya guys. Some monday when i couldent go on sunday!

I would like to join your club and race my T4. I'll be at the track tomorrow afternoon and I'm available Saturday morning if you need any help. Please let me know. I also plan on going next Monday night for warm-ups. Looking forward to playing in the dirt!

KirtC
05-06-2004, 10:48 PM
Razoo, thanks for the help but we're all set. I just got back from the track and with a lot of help we've gotten the new inside walls in place, nice and low so you shouldn't hook them like last year. Now there are two return areas as well, one on each straight.

With the weather being rain on and off from now until Monday, I don't see the need to get the track torn-up, it's certainly raceable as it is now. So AL, keep studying for dem-dare finals y'hear.

Can't wait to see everyone...Looking forward to all the dirt truck and even the dirts4worms 4 WD wedge......Rich K bring your's out too.

See Ya Monday......At The Track

Tonights the night, weather permitting, opening night. Rain date if required Tuesday, as always.

Weeeeeeeeeeee put that 19T in a 4WD and get yourself a wedge body. It sounds like that class is coming off the ground this year.

Dave, after all the talk about the R?C CAr ACtion articl eon all the sites, I'm all for having a buggy chassis only class, for the lower dollar or beginning racer that doesn't want to spend themselves silly

See Ya In The Dirt

I had a great time racing last night. That was my 1st time on a dirt oval and hopefully didn't make too much of a spectacle of myself  Please let me know if you ever need any help with the track.

Mike, I'm going to order a late model body in a day or two and start converting my TC3 to oval, and rumor has it Mr Watson will bring his out of retirement too. As for tires, I'm running TM pink's on my EDM right now and it seems to be working alright. Green's will work fine too, but they'll just wear out a little faster.

Thanks AL for the driving and tire tips.

Now the school is out and the weather sounds great do you have plans to grade, condition, sweep or otherwise WORK on the track???

Please let us know via this site, Razoo has offered to help & Eric & Kyle have offered to assist as well. I'd like to see the track lightly roto-tilled, some calcium sprinkled in and then packed. My tiller and small dump trailer are available to bring in the extra clay for the back stretch as well.

Good Luck

Sometime next week, I cant this week. I am going to repair our nailboard, and hopefully thats all the track will need. LIGHT calcuim, and fixing the backstretch shouldnt be a problem. The tiller might bring up rocks, I`m not so keen on the tilling idea. Its bad enough with the nailboard. I`ll drag it and if it needs it more, I`ll do it. I should be set on help, but thanks anyway.

Thanks for the tips, guys. I did run the old car with a sedan body and rubber tires a few years ago and it went pretty well. I have a full set of purples for now well find out how that go's. A 10 single will make it go! LOL! Just for giggles though! Ill never make time with my carpet hammered packs...

Dave, good to see yas last night

Everyone had a great time with 23 entries it made for a relaxed night with lots of hot laps. The Truck main was a drivers race for sure, the novice looks like the newcomers are going to give the veterans a run for their money and the EDM A Main was a thing of beauty {only wish I was in it :<( }.

Do it in the DIRT.

Check with Dave L, he used to make his truck haul

I know on the car's we're using greens or pinks for tires, some rear toe in for bite off the turns and soft enough spings to get some squat in the truck without too much roll.

From what I;ve seen so far is most guy's trying to run too stiff and bouncing all over the place when they get slightly out of shape.
