So far Rusty is the only one in the points run... over 1/2 done so the class is dead.
Maybe next year they can race the class.

No, no. Bring them this year and get a better setup for next year. Just because Rusty has the 1st position locked in please don't discourage others from racing.

What about a RC18T with a mild mod motor and a Late model body?

squeeker138
09-11-2005, 03:10 PM
18t's are running the stock motors only. Mod can be ran afterwards if you want(for exbition). If I remember right most any body will be allowed.

mcastor11
09-11-2005, 04:53 PM
I will see if I can find one. The kit motor lasted about 10 mins in the driveway.
Is it just the kit motors allowed for stock? of is the monster ok?

jasperracing
09-12-2005, 06:52 PM
hey has em at the track im pretty sure mike!!

DWBryan
09-15-2005, 01:24 AM
we are running the 370 motor... I have em in stock... the gearing that is found to be the one is the stock 55t and 15t pinion <-- legal
The guys that tryed the monster tires the motors got too hot and gearing didnt seem to help... the small tires (rubber or foamies) work the best and get the longer life from the race and motors.. (ran 12 min on 1 charge and motor was hot but not burning up)
Losi rubber tires are ok also and legal. just NO touring car tires.. that type didnt come with the truck or is availible through the manufaturer as a replacement item.
Mods can run for the fun of it or maybe even race that day depending on how the races go but wont have a trophy.
Im not cheap.. its just we had no clas of em when reg racing was being held and that is where the $ coms from for the awards.. if a class dont put to the kitty its hard to give back. Just part of life I guess. ;)

Well, I had a lot of fun Saturday. I'ts too bad that a certain person felt it necessary to try to take me out in order for them to win! I thought it was supposed to come down to good old fashioned driving skill. I guess that people were tired of seeing me win. Oh well, I will just have to try to "hold my line" so I am not in anyone's way. All in all, I still had a good time.

DWBryan
09-25-2005, 05:57 PM
Well the champions have been crowned, Im going to send ther results in to Car Action and the Sanction groups.
As far as keeping it in the state, actually there is no rule against it leaving the state... so REM Indiana can geet it from the other states if they can win. ;)

I have only brought this matter up to state my thoughts. If a person starts winning, everyone seems to go out gunning for them. I have had some very good luck this season, and I have been enjoying the racing. If I have offended anyone with what I stated, I am truly sorry. I am not one to go and have a big confrontation with people anymore, that only creates hard feelings with many people. I stated that to give the person in question a little food for thought, and maybe venting a little frustration. I guess I may have stepped on some toes and I am sorry. I just had a few people come up and ask me if I was mad about the incidents, and I guess I was, but I was not going to make a big scene there at the track. I will talk to the person about it when we both have cooled down.
I would like to thank KRISFO for the compliment. I have been working very hard on my consistancy. I do feel that I have been improving, but I still have a long way to go before I get good.

This Is Truly Amazing...........i Would Definately Love A Replay....me Taking You Out.........bullshit......was This Incident Your Referring To Anything Like The 1st Qualifier.....pfft......please Explain!!

The Only Reason For Your So Called Success Is Because Brad, Rob, And Myself Havn't Been There Much.

Who Exactly Did Run The 6 Week Point Run........i Know None Of The Above Mentioned People Run Very Much. LMAO......I think Brad got 3rd in the points run and only run 1 race........now thats some competition!

Anyone interested in 4 cell 18th scale racing.. its only aprox 7 miles East from me.
I took a look at the bldg and ??? dont know if 6 cell can run in there, but its heated and kinda neet area for em.
Not big enough for 10th scale but 18th... it can happen... looks like fun.

This year Im goping to try to upgrade the track accessories ( running water Bathroom, track wall, Ect) to make it a bit nicer out there... doing a cleanup project and need to get rid of the old schoolbus and maybe put in a drag strip!!! :)
Im putting a limit on the classes we race for saturday nights.. I have to go with what has been cosistantly showing up... this year is still all outlaws ( No Teching RC's ) I have removed the motor limit and bat cells.. run what you can handle.. if ya pump it up to fast for your level and break it... its YOUR FAULT not mine.
Nitro and Electro trucks & Buggys, Nitro and Electro Touring, Novice nitro (any nitro ) & novice electro (any electro) will be the saturday night lineups.
Other classes of RCs can race sat night providing that there are 4 or more in the class and if I dont have a A, B, & C of the truck/buggy classes or be prepaired to stay LATE!
All classes will now race a 5 min run and ther will be 5 min between races... so what that means in general is 6 races/classes will take 1 hr per round.. add a 15 min between rounds to add a hour to the night and that 6 classes means a 5 hr race night.
Example: If there is a nitro truck A & B that is the same as 2 classes time.
Racing will start as close to 5pm as I can and no later than 5:30 so we should be done NO later than 11pm.... I personaly dont mind the late night.. I LIVE HERE.. but I hear complaints about it taking to long... the only way I can fix that is to limit the classes that race here period.
Sundays is another day we can race the other classes.
Nitro touring was a real weak class last year but Im told will be a stron one this year.. if not we will drop it on sat night and replace it with another class.
The track is still FREE 7 days a week for practice and fun right up to 4:30pm when sign in opens. The entery fee is still the same as the last 3 years I have not raised it.. 10 for the 1st rc and 5 for each other class... father/son/daughter/wife teams are still 10 for the 1st and 5 for each aditional.. (dad is 10 and son is 5) so nothing has changed there.
I will be enforcing the turn marshal rule as well as the starting of the race... if your late on the track.. YOUR late and no one elses fault.. I will start the race 5 min after the last one was finished whether there is a rc on the track or not.. I have to so as to move the night along without delays.
We are going to try to get the hobby shop well stocked for your needs as best we can.
All 1/18th scale is currently schedualed for sundays starting at 1pm as well as other classes for a sunday lineup... Ohh and yes ALL 1/18th scale is still just 5 per rc flat rate.
all 10th scale classes we try to run 5 at a time.. 18th scale is 10 but be prepaired.. if there is up to 7 only 10th scale.. we run em all I will split 8 or more into example 2 groups of 4.
Well what ya think? here it has always been majority rules... I hate being a hard core rule maker but I have to weigh the wants of the majority and most talk to me 1 on one to let me now what they think is the way they want it.

Dave, did you ever consider running the 1/18 scales on Saturday, before the 1/10 scales? Usually there are only two or three heats of 1/18th, at 8 minutes each that would be 34 minutes each round. You could finish in just over two hours. Start em at 11 or noon, and be done so the rest of the Saturday classes could practice. Course, this make a very long day for you, but what the heck, nobody said it would be easy at the top. :-) At any rate, I'm looking forward to making as many sessions as I can.

When is opening day?

DWBryan
04-02-2006, 03:04 PM
Yep I have put that idea before some drivers... I have no problem of starting any class of racing earlyer.. 18th scale can start as early as 6am if they wish... but to get everyone in that class to work together to set a time and rules and ect.. its like pulling teeth.
Having some classes start earlyer and others come in latter makes a smooth running day.. but???? some say they have to work sat day, others cant do sundays, others want friday.. I just try to do the best I can do for the majority and there are not may drivers in any class (last year) but this is a new year... have to see what hapens.
The track is now open for FREE practice 7 days a week and racing will start when drivers get to gether and say lets do it.
I have my end ready to go.
I do still have more construction to do out there to make the place a better place to be... Running water bathroom and other plans.. but they wont stop the schedual.
