burbs 03-14-2004, 08:12 PM Dave.. i only see 2 jim wick races this year.. is this a misprint, or will there be three again like last year.... see yah.. ohh man almost 4 months tilloutdoors ughhh ha ha i cant wait...
triclone-dave 03-14-2004, 08:31 PM Sorry Mike we only have time for two races
Practice Dates Sat May 15------Sun May 16
Sat May 22----------Sun 23
burbs 03-15-2004, 08:00 AM sounds good to me.... i was just making sure it wasnt a missed print... we only got in two last year anyway due to the two rain outs.. so it should be sweet...
Looks like you guys are going to have a full season.
I hope to make it to at least one of the Jim Wick races and I'm sure that several others from Iowa will make it as well.
I Won't be able to make the nationals, I may be able to spend a day or two watching though.
Looks Really Good to me.
AJ :D :D :D
triclone-dave 03-15-2004, 05:00 PM Sorry you can't make the Nats but we will be happy to see you. How is the rscing going?
gezer2u 03-15-2004, 09:14 PM OH YEAH BABY! ROAR Nats. Can't wait!
Barooose 03-18-2004, 02:29 PM Oh boy this is going to be one excellent summer. I have one question for the weekly shows, what motors are we going to be running? Roar legal only would probably be my suggestion. Although I like the binary, that's certainly not what the handout will be, and I don't want everybody buying them if we're not gonna run 'em. Any idea what the handout motor might be???
Danny-The-Dude 03-18-2004, 09:18 PM I agree with Bruce..................NO BINARY'S!!!!
It's pointless at this time..................I just wish we would have not allowed them winter.
Bob Wright 03-21-2004, 12:15 AM Any word on what the classes will be for the Nats?I'm thinking about getting a 1/12th scale to run a second class.
Kraig 03-23-2004, 12:37 AM What about bodies? I forgot what model most people were running.
burbs 03-23-2004, 07:28 AM according to what i was told is the intrepid is popular.... but that person also said that it changes from year to year.. your best bet is a 97 bolink monte.... i ran it last year and was told it used to be the body....
Bob Wright 03-23-2004, 10:51 PM Kraig for me the Bolink 2000 MC seems to work best.Along with the Bolink Pontiac.Cory was plenty hooked up last year with McAllister Fords and Dodges.Baroose was fast and he ran Protoform Chevys.a lot of people ran Protoform Dodges also.I would stick with one and try to tune from there.IMHO.
cupdriver 03-26-2004, 05:08 AM Dave
When is the track going to be open, and when are you going to need help getting things ready for summer.
Shadow
Dave J 03-26-2004, 03:16 PM Bob, 1/12 scale 4-cell mod is a required class at the
Nats as are 1/10 scale 4-cell stock and Modified. 4-
cell 19T is a suggested class which we will run. We
are working on some Demonstration classes that we will confirm soon.
Bruce and the Dude, we have decided to run Roar
legal stock motors at the Tri-Clone this year, this
will put everyone on a level playing field. The hand
out motor for the nats will more then likely be the
Monster Horsepower.
We will have a oval racing program at the Tri-Clone
next Friday night April 2nd, track open at 3:00pm
racing at 7:00pm. We have also decided to run 4-
car qualifiers and 6-car mains at our indoor track,
no more voting !! Also don't forget the spring dash
for cash Saturday April 24TH at our indoor track
Thanks Dave J.
triclone-dave 03-28-2004, 07:02 PM Yes it was me I washed my truck and put caps on my car and a charged battery went to the track when it started to rain. The summer season is here at the Midwest Triclone. :( :( :(
cupdriver 03-28-2004, 11:26 PM Yes it was me I washed my truck and put caps on my car and a charged battery went to the track when it started to rain. The summer season is here at the Midwest Triclone. :( :( :(

Kris Fowler
KGF MOTORSPORTS
burbs 03-31-2004, 11:08 PM we run cap tires. some of the guys may be able to get u a setup from last year.... but it seems the track changes a bit.. the best way to do it is show up a little early and the guys there can help u out.. they are a super bunch....
Krisfo 03-31-2004, 11:40 PM Hmmmm....sounds good.....
I suppose the tire compounds would more likely be BSR Reds, Greens.......something soft on caps.........depending on track temperature and grip??
What classes do you guys offer up for fixins????
burbs 04-01-2004, 03:49 PM last year we ran greens and blues mainly....rarely a red.... our biggest class is stock.... and then 19t... we dont see to much modified.. but i would think with nayts comming the mod class should grow a bit this summer...last year this is what we ranb for caps...
blue ...wide right - on the right rear
green ...narrow left- on the left rear
blue left.... on the right front
green or blue left- on the left front
when it says left on right and such that is talking about stager.. R is big... S is standard, and L is small tires...

Barooose 04-14-2004, 01:42 PM Hey, Bohn Man. Thought you fell off the earth after the Leftover. hahaha. I think this may just be the best summer at the "Clone" ever. I hope lots of people get to come out and play.
Dave J 04-15-2004, 09:42 AM With such outstanding racers like "the bohn man" and "Dick Wood" it would be hard not
to have a GREAT summer season---looking forward to it!!!

cupdriver 04-19-2004, 10:27 PM Hey Dave J How about putting in some soft walls for myself aand the other wll bangers. heheheheheh lmao
Call me if you need some more help, see ya saturday.
Shadow
bohndryracing 04-19-2004, 11:06 PM safer walls ??? yehhhhhhhhhhhhh i need those!!!
I 2nd that notion!!!!!!!!
Barooose 04-21-2004, 01:33 PM AJS you don't have to worry about the walls, just make sure someone else is on the outside at turn one. Works great. L.O.L.
Bruce is it that 8 wheel thing or just more of the energy absorption stuff.
I'll be up to give it a try again this year and maybe with a little more confidence I'll do better, but that wall is pretty intimidating.
AJ
hefty12 04-21-2004, 09:44 PM The wall is your friend!!!
I know that is the fast line, but it's still intimidating.
AJ
hefty12 04-21-2004, 11:30 PM It can be at first. There is nothing like the feeling of your car sling-shotting through turn 1. Hopefully we will be doing some board testing in the near future.
bohndryracing 04-25-2004, 08:06 PM anybody know who makes the discs that go on the outside of the wheels ?
triclone-dave 04-28-2004, 04:23 PM The track will be open on May 14 that is a Friday all day if the boss will let you off to race and drink cold beer :hat: I ment trophy.
triclone-dave 04-29-2004, 05:55 PM Pat I will be there on Sunday at noon
bohndryracing 05-01-2004, 03:02 AM hi guys, what time will you open on the 22nd amd 23rd of may for practice? hmmmmmmm ? any time during the week at night ??? hows the cold trophy machines doin ? see ya then
ron
triclone-dave 05-03-2004, 05:44 PM Friday May 14 the track will not be open (shoot i have to work)
Bob Wright 05-03-2004, 07:18 PM Right after my boss let me off, too.
Dave, have you tested the new transponders outside yet?Just wondering how it went.
Barooose 05-06-2004, 01:29 PM Hey, Daves, any new info to report?
Dave J 05-07-2004, 07:08 AM The track is scheduled to be sealed and new lines put down on Monday or Tuesday. We are running a line around the outside of the race track this time, it will be about
six inches from the wall so when your car hits the line you can either "lift" or hit the
wall. We will have parts availble at the track! We were not planning to seal the track
this year so to offset these added costs we have no choice but to increase the price
on brats and you will have to bring your own buns--Beer and coffee is still free
It's going to be a FUN summer--Dave J.
Barooose 05-07-2004, 01:21 PM Okay, Dave, I'll bite. What is up with the line around the track??? Please "splain it to me, "cause i donut understand. And I always bring my own buns to the track.
